Mediocre SuperBowl Commercials Good Game
2008-02-04 04:09:00 I love football, so rightly so I was glued to the TV for Superbowl XXII. Eli Manning, little brother to SuperBowl XXI winner Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts. A brilliant comeback I might add for the New York Giants--congratulations.But, let's get to the real reason we watch the SuperBowl: the commercials.There were a few goodies, no doubt. Not funny and creative like last years' commercials, it seemed this years ads were mediocre at best. The game even bored me until the fourth quarter. I took a nap during the 3rd quarter, only to wake up and see the score still at 7-3 with the Patriots still leading.But, let's go over the commercials.I loved the Doritos ad when the guy set the mouse trap using a piece of a cheese Dorito only to have a huge mouse bust through the wall and beat the mouse trap setting man down! After trouble-shooting for magnets and heat failed to diagnose the problem, it was found that the customer labeled the diskettes then rolled them into his typewriter to type the labels.- A customer was asked to send a copy of her defective diskettes to the technician. 2008-01-31 05:31:00 Highway crews spreading salt on interstates in eastern Pennsylvania made a grisly discovery Tuesday -- eight trash bags of body parts.The bags were discovered at eight places along Interstate 80 and Interstate 380 in the Pocono Mountains, the Pocono Record reported. The first was discovered at about 9 a.m.Lt. Robert Bartal said the bags were found along a five-mile stretch of I-80 and a 15-mile stretch of I-380. They appear to want to sue us.I say us, because yes I upload every CD I buy to my hard drive. It's mine and I should be able to do whatever I want with it.No judge in America should be able to say anything about what I do with my music. However, Jeffrey Howell of Scottsdale, Arizona must have had too many songs on his computer (2,000) because he is accused of sharing his music with others.
