Before discussing the awesome weekend our Kansas State athletes had I thought it would be fun to share this video clip of Will Ferrell, proudly sporting his KSU sweatshirt. Here is the description of the clip (warning they do use the "f" word so if you are faint of heart... Don't f'n play the f'n clip!):What in the hell is Will Ferrell doing in the Little Apple (Manhattan, Kansas)? Eric Melin, co-host of Scene-Stealers.com, caught up with the comedy genius while on the first stop of his Funny Or Die College Comedy Tour. He was also promoting his new movie about the American Basketball Association, "Semi-Pro." After taking a brief tour of Manhattan's highpoints (i.e., the bars), Eric journeyed to a sold-out Bramlage Coliseum where Will f***ing Ferrell performed with Zach Galifianakas, Demetri Martin, and Nick Swardson. As Ron Burgandy, Ferrell also presented Kansas State University with an autographed Hammerhead shark. What more could you ask for? Enjoy Eric's one-on-one intervie...

Sunday Bloody Sunday
2008-02-17 21:24:00
It is Sunday afternoon and The Aging Disco Diva is out of champagne.... and I live in a state that takes the condition and care of my soul seriously, hence liquor sales are banned on Sunday. Not that it makes much of a difference...it is an f'n ice box outside right now so I am basically housebound, and my champagne budget is in the red anyway. I would love to use my time online making a million dollars (like all the come-on ads and articles promise) but a quick peek at my Adsense account shows that I have earned a whopping $6.00 in click revenue since the beginning of January so my first online million dollar payday appears to be oh...five or six centuries away.I could do my daily online sweepstakes entries (I plan on winning $350,000 this year) but I will probably hold off doing that until this evening. Actually I am a dedicated "sweeper" and have amassed a nice list of goodies over the years, but no more dinking around for me---this year I will win the BIG one (Positive Thinkin...

Today's gossip mini-bite:TMFI...one of those acronyms you see floating about the internet and in email... TMFI...Too Much F'n Information....ever ponder exactly what that means? Ponder no more, here is a perfect example:Gary Coleman, aged 40, the former "Different Strokes" child star, secretly married Shannon Price, aged 22 last August. In an interview with The Insider, Coleman admits that he was a virgin before meeting Miss Price, and even after more than a year together, he remains a virgin.?It?ll happen when it will happen. And it will happen for all the right reasons.?OK.... totally "Too Much F'n Information" Who in the hell would even WANT to ask Gary if he was doing the horizontal mambo with his bride? And of greater import...who in the hell would want to know the answer??Usually marriage is the right reason to have sex (or in the case of Paris Hilton....being able to remember to breath without a cue card is evidently the right reason to have sex) but different strokes for...

Today's gossip morselsBai Ling is in the news for something OTHER than dressing like a tarty bag lady. I had honestly never heard of her until I started seeing her appear as a staple in the various "WTF are they wearing?" pages of gossip magazines (strike one) Then I discovered that she was good friends with celebutard Kimberly Stewart (strike two) and starred in the movie "Dumplings" about a woman who stays young by eating dumplings made from aborted fetuses. Yes, you read that correctly (strike three, game over)Bai Ling was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport yesterday for allegedly shoplifting two tabloids and a package of AAA batteries. The Chinese-born actress, who appeared in ?The Crow? and episodes of ?Lost? and ?Entourage,? was bagged by an airport gift store employee for lifting $16 worth of merchandise. Ling, who reportedly was weeping as she was led away by the police, allegedly stole two Star magazines and the batteries. She was booked on suspicion of shoplif...

Ed in actionThough I was so disappointed with the outcome of the game, I am woman enough to tip my hat to the game's MVP. Ed Hightower played a hell of a game against Kansas State this evening. He was quite the play maker and definitely controlled the tempo of the game. Though he did not score a single basket, nor get a single rebound he was an invaluable sixth man on the court for Texas Tech. Mozel tov to you Ed and your seeing eye dog. The Writers' Strike is officially over
2008-02-13 18:57:00
The Writers ' Strike is officially over....good, now they all need to get their arses back into the office and create new episodes of Ugly Betty and Pushing Daisies. If it were not for Eli Stone the Aging Disco Diva would be mired in mediocre reality TV limbo (except for The Biggest Loser of course) A friend, who knows I love dark, twisted comedy, recommended Breaking Bad so I am going to have to check it out. One good thing has come out of the strike: it looks like the Cavemen has gone on to that giant tar pit in the sky. Damn, that was such a stinker of a show that you had to wonder what the hell they were smoking when they decided to turn a one-note commercial concept into a TV series.....Writers' Strike Over - What Happens Now?By Walt Belcher of The Tampa TribunePublished: February 13, 2008The 3-month-old writers' strike is over, so what's the status of your favorite TV shows? It's all kind of iffy right now. Bob Knight can actually crack a smile...
2008-02-12 17:35:00
"Bobby Knight is funny" seems like the quintessential oxymoron. Sour puss, one card short of a full deck, Type A Personality Poster Child and royal P.I.A. are what comes to the the Aging Disco Diva's mind when I think of Coach Knight. In 1979, Knight was arrested for assaulting a police officer during the Pan American Games in Puerto Rico . Knight was angry that a practice gymnasium was not opened to his team, which went on to a 9-0 record in the tournament. Knight was later convicted in absentia in a Puerto Rican court. However, the charges were later dropped when Indiana Governor Otis R. Bowen refused to cooperate in extraditing Knight to the island commonwealth. In 1985, Knight threw a chair across the court to protest a referee's call during a game against the rival Purdue Boilermakers. Knight was suspended for one game and received two years' probation from the Big Ten Conference.Women's groups nationwide were outraged by Knight's comments during an April, 1988 interview with...
