2008-10-01 22:45:00 Found this on the Know Your Money Blog, and I instantly thought this was one of those spoof/photoshop humour thingys about really bad ideas for Wii games. It seems I was wrong. This is for real! As we have recently got a Wii, I'm interested in finding out what are the worthy games, so something like this is invaluable. As long as you don't pass it by as some crazy spoof. Ramsey rip off in time for Christmas! Washed Out.
2008-10-01 17:57:00 Washing Machine Cartoon.Excitement of getting a new washing machine has spilled over into my cartoons. How close I came to contemplating turning my pants inside out, you'll never know. I also decided to colour this one in for a change. In other news. I've had to ditch my favourite browser, Flock - as it was crashing a little too often to be useful. A shame, but now I'm back with Firefox 3. ScribeFire gives me the functionality for blogging as much as Flock was able to, I do miss the drag and dropping of pictures feature though. I'm searching for a FF plugin that'll do this.

2008-09-28 18:26:00 Gas Bill Cartoon.Did I say I'd post a cartoon yesterday? I did, didn't I? Opps. Well here it is anyway. For once it wasn't a case of having to draw the cartoon first. It was sitting here on my desk, waiting to be scanned. The distraction was a trip to Staples, to browse some stationery. Didn't need any stationery, but I can pass up a trip to a stationery superstore. I bought a small draw unit, to place my cartoons in, and to avoid the near miss I had the other week, when I put some cartoon drawings on the feed tray of my printer! Luckily I didn't like the cartoons that were printed on, and it really did seem to brighten up the washing machine sales invoice I was printing. Today we had delivery of the washing machine. We have now run out of things to wash. It's so exciting. Tomorrow, it's just a washing machine. 2008-09-19 18:17:00 Laser Surgery Cartoon.Ideas don't always come easy, and sometimes the idea is there, but the drawing just won't work out. This cartoon is version 2. The first one was crap (drawing wise). I figured out that to draw something missing (like half a face) it's better to actually draw the whole thing, and THEN take away the part that's not needed. Like the technique of drawing a setting BEFORE adding the figures. It seems to work for me. More About: Laser

2008-09-04 12:53:00 Dead Cartoon. Lately I've started listening to BBC Radio 4 on my digital radio. It's like television, but unlike television it's still possible to draw and doodle ideas down at the same time. My eyes cannot multitask, but my ears can. I guess I'm admitting that my ears are not used in the process of drawing. They are not important to the drawing process, but if they were to fall off, I'd have nowhere to hang my glasses, so then I wouldn't be able to draw. Ears are more important than you think! It's a Gas!
2008-07-02 18:34:00 Fuel Crisis Cartoon. The way the cost of fuel is going, I predict they'll be many more cartoons appearing on this theme. When recently looking for a replacement car (don't ask) I was told by several people in the trade that many are trading in their gas guzzlers and looking for the economic 'shopping trolleys'. I've now got a replacement Skoda (stop laughing) that has a bigger engine, higher fuel consumption, and higher road tax - but I'm lucky in that I don't need to do that many miles most of the time. At least now I can overtake other vehicles without holding my breath. Overtook a tractor last week. That felt very good, to power past without breaking into a sweat.

Painful Suggestions.
2008-04-09 12:48:00 Thanks for all the suggestions for the new tag line. I'm really inspired by all of them. As a test, I've changed it to one of Anita's excellent suggestions, but I might change this in the future. I'm even thinking of having several different ones that I could use in rotation, so please keep the ideas coming. Who knows, I might include them all in some way. I quite like 100% unicorn free cartoons as well (thanks Zoomar) but might change this to horse free as that it the one thing I have most difficulty drawing. There was a slight glitch in the system yesterday, as for some reason I wasn't getting any email alerts to the comments. Sorry about that. All sorted now.

2008-04-08 12:34:00 The re-design of the blog is just about complete, but I'm stuck on one small detail. I need a decent tag line below the "clangnuts.com" part of the header. For now I have the totally un-inspirational "Cartoons" which is very boring and dull. I'm hoping that one of my lovely readers will come up with some suggestions, in the comments below - but it often seems that people don't bother to comment these days. Here's a few of the also rans, which I've rejected: Funny Cartoons. Bad CartoonsThink.Draw.Scan.Publish.Scroll down there's more cartoons!Unloved and Unpublished.Cartoons, not tag lines.I've posted them, not to ask which is your favourite, but to hopefully inspire someone out there to come up with much better suggestions.
