2007-08-29 22:10:00 I've been looking at the list on Blog Top List, mainly to see how my blog is performing, but also to view the competition I'm up against (well, at least as far as BTL is concerned). . I'm languishing at number 88 in the Humour section at the moment, disappointing as I was briefly at the number 1 position last year. 2007-08-29 19:09:00 PCWORLD cartoon. Well what do you know. After making a big song and dance about the likely lack of gag cartoons, here's one anyway. The reason I've posted this, is that I can't see it being very publishable. Most Newspapers/Magazines wouldn't want to upset a company who might be a current or future advertiser. Having had a (what I consider) a gentle pop at the 'experts' of PCWORLD, I'll be off there tomorrow to buy a new printer. They're OK as long as: You don't ask for advice.You are in a hurry, and can't wait to buy it cheaper online.They have a special offer on. More About: Advice , Expert , Pert

2007-08-29 18:23:00 So here's the first post, after the last one which announced the lack of gag cartoons on here. So there's no cartoon here. I'm going to tell you about the two cartoons I've just drawn, and where I've sent them. One is about Prison officers. The other is about ball scratching. Fascinating stuff eh? I've sent them both to possibly the only Magazine in the UK that accepts email submissions. It's all too easy. So they are going to get most of my cartoons, as they come of the production line, so to speak. I will keep you all posted on what response I may get. There is another idea in the pot - which I think is probably unpublishable, so maybe I'll draw that now, before my tea. The sun is still shining. More About: Well

No more Gag Cartoons (maybe)
2007-08-29 11:12:00 I've been thinking of where this Blog is heading, and after discussion with some people who know far more about cartoons then I do - I have decided to wind down Clangnuts Cartoon Blog, into something which is less about every single cartoon that I draw, and more about sharing with you, the readers about my cartooning life. ...That's not to say that Clangnuts Cartoon Blog will disappear from the web. I appreciate all the visitors who have shown support for my work, and encouraged me to keep updating. The problem I have is that I cannot publish unsold cartoons on here, and at the same time offer them to editors on a first rights basis. As they have already appeared on here, I am limiting the potential to sell them elsewhere. As I need to develop an income from my cartoons, I have to take this hard decision and limit what I post on here. ...Once something has already sold, or done the rounds and not sold at all - then I'll be free to publish them on here. It means the teenagers could be given powers to guard crime scenes, issue penalty notices or detain suspects until police officers arrive. They will also be allowed to confiscate alcohol consumed in public despite being too young to drink and can direct traffic even though they cannot drive. 2007-08-11 01:43:00 Pub Cartoon Unlike many of the cartoons I draw, this one was envisaged as a straight black and white line drawing. At no point did I even consider this cartoon for Photoshop colouring in tomfoolery. I think it works very well as a drawing. I can't see that colour would add anything to the cartoon - so there isn't any. More About: Busy

2007-03-15 12:44:00 Sorry for all those who were disappointed with no cartoons posted in the last two days. I'm back, and will hopefully continue updating every day, as much as possible. I've just got hold of a Pentel Brush pen, which is what I used to draw (or should that be paint?) this cartoon. 2007-02-27 21:19:00 Apparently, if an 8 year child demands nothing but greasy junk food, then that's what you should give them. Every 20 minutes, if that's what they demand.
