The man was obviously having a difficult time, stopping every so often as if unsure of his destination and then continuing on in a completely different direction. The sun watched the man as he systematically went absolutely nowhere with an air of disinterest. This was, of course, simply because it is not the suns job to watch lost little men. It preferred to leave that to lower entities like the moon. Its job was most important, (however boring it may be), so it determined to stop watching and go back to its task of boring down on the desert, and, for that matter, much of the rest of the earth. It is so peaceful here. The palms that tower above me provide the shade I so desperately crave. The husks of a hundred coconuts litter the floor beside my feet, caked in the sun as if just fresh out of the oven. Their mournful carcasses stripped of their tender white meat. My own breathing is the only sound to be heard for hundreds of miles across the rolling blue of the sea, It is so peaceful here, below the palms, listening to the gentle sound of the waves as they break like playful children upon the rocks.
