Rhona Mitra Finds Her Way Into "Box"

Former "Boston Legal" actress Rhona Mitra will star in "The Boy in the Box", a thriller about the remains of a mummified boy discovered that shocks a small town. Mitra will play the wife of the town's police chief (to be played by Jon Hamm). The discovery of the mysterious boy, murdered more than half a century before, brings back the wife's long buried emotions about losing her own son eight years previously.  Josh Lucas ("Poseidon") will play the father of the slain tot. Also appearing in the film will be James Van Der Beek ("Dawson's Creek"), Jimmy Bennett ("Hostage"), Marcus Thomas ("You Kill Me") and Jessica Chastain ("Jolene"). Before Mitra starts work on her new project she will fly away to New Zealand where she will star in "Underworld 3: Rise of the Lycans" playing the love interest of the first werewolf. Phoenix Denies Mendes Romance Reports

Actor Joaquin Phoenix has dismissed reports he and his "We Own the Night" co-star EVA MENDES were romantically involved during filming. The "Gladiator" star was amazed by the paparazzi attention Mendes attracted, which became so frantic, the pair found it impossible to socialize away from the set. Phoenix says, "They had us dating before I even met her. That was f**king hilarious. We went out the first night to get some food, and there were photographers everywhere. I'm going, 'Who is this f**king chick?' Because I swear to God, I don't know who anyone is unless I've already worked with them. Feeling like you're being scrutinized is bad when you're working. It got to point where we couldn't even hang out, because it became a thing. I'm always amazed at the gossip that is created out of nothing." (GES/PL/LR)
