Deep Freeze: Keep all malicious viruses/worms at bay
2007-10-30 09:06:00 I reformatted my PC few days ago, get the new installation and all other softwares needed onboard. Anyway I chose not to install any antivirus for the first few days, let it run for few days and here where the problem started. I was not entirely sure whether it’s related to virus or not but it took ages before the windows was fully loaded. So, I tried to open System Configuration Utility (Run.. > msconfig) to learn what programs hook up to the startup but it simply disappeared after a brief popup. Dang! It must be a worm/virus of some sort. It doesn’t cause any detrimental effect on the PC except the loading part, but I hate being denied access on my very own PC. Looking for the fixes is time consuming and annoying, pretty much the same experience in these bad days. Scrutinizing and sometimes pruning ruthlessly on the unrelated articles, I finally stumbled upon something that can do all the magic to completely eliminate threats posed by viruses and worms.
