Oasis Hangup
2008-05-09 18:22:00 Sorry, folks, some personal issues came up and it doesn’t look like I’ll get an Oasis Chapter up this week. I’ll make sure next week’s chapter is at least twice as awesome, though. spoiler (kind of): I think the word “zombie” may actually appear for the first time in the Oasis text.
Plinking With The New Guns
2008-05-07 15:46:00 Please excuse my poor video editing (and marksmanship). We went shooting last weekend, here’s some “highlights.” Aurora shot her brand new Kel-Tec PF9 for the first time. She wasn’t quite ready for the recoil, but by the end of the day, she was shooting much better (I probably should have gotten video of ... More About: Guns

Confessions Of A Print-On-Demand Zombie
2008-04-14 16:18:00 I came across an author who has recently self-published a zombie novel. As many of you know, I’ve been planning to self-publish Oasis once I’ve got it done. Gun Porn? (Naked Firearm )
2008-04-06 19:26:00 I’ve been shooting many times throughout my life. I grew up with guns in the house, and every year at the family reunion, we’d gather up a group of cousins and uncles and go a’ blasting. I finally decided it was time to start bringing my own piece. So here’s the new gun. It’s a Smith & ...
Oasis: Chapter 49
2008-04-04 17:27:00 [note: This week’s been hectic. I’ve got a whole bunch of stuff to write about, including the purchase of my first gun, when I get a minute. Anyway, if this is your first experience with Oasis , you should start with Chapter 1.] Best Laid Plans The food and drink had done me a world of good. Neither my arms nor my legs shook as I pushed myself onto my feet. I followed Samson and Kevin into the trophy room. The trophy room wasn’t as wide as the other conference rooms I had seen, but it was just as deep, and the far wall was made of windows looking toward the desert outside of Oasis. It matched Samson’s rugged exterior better than any room I had seen in the rest of the hotel. It was like a museum. Several plaques and animal heads hung on the walls. Toward the middle of the room was a stuffed bear, a stuffed bison, and a stuffed lion. There were photos of Samson holding up large fish, climbing mountains, and leading a camel through some desert. Apparently, ...
Oasis: Chapter 48
2008-03-28 16:54:00 [note: If you have never read Oasis before, it’s better to start at the beginning. Also, It looks like everything is just swell here on my new host. Let me know if you come across any problems.] Exhaustion I was breathing heavily by the time I made it to the third floor. My legs were shaking, and I felt wobbly all over. I had made a mistake. I had overestimated my condition. I had barely made it up the stairs that morning. And that was with help. What made me think I could just sprint up them now? I was too tired, too tired, too tired. People might die if I don’t make it. I pushed onward and upward. The stairway seemed to push me back. Down below I heard the door open. They’re delivering the next load of ammo. A flicker of hope sparked somewhere inside me. I opened my mouth to (more…) More About: Chapter
Emergency Server Move
2008-03-26 07:32:00 OK, so my bungling web host is doing some major changes on Friday. I just know they’re going to mess something up horribly (They have already done so in so many ways…), so I’m preempting their incompetence and I’ll be starting the switch to another host tomorrow. Hopefully, all will be good by Friday. The next time you read a post from me, you’ll know it’s on the new server. Comments made between now and then may be lost (hopefully not many), so don’t say anything you need for posterity until you see Oasis Chapter 48. Cheers. -Bryce More About: Server , Move , Emergency
