I joined Social Spark a few days back. Now what is Social Spark could be the obvious question right? In one line the answer would be that, "Social Spark is an exciting place where I monetize my blog, make friends, enjoy and all this with complete honesty". Social Spark is another effort from Izea to help bloggers who are interested in making money from their blogs. I had received an invitation to join when they were in the beta stage. Today is the "World Environment Day". Fliers, posters, banners, mailers and many more such things are on the internet and everywhere. A handful of people are working hard to generate a bit of awareness in people towards our environment. Our environment is deteriorating with every passing day. But we just do not want to bother about it. Mother Nature keeps pinching us every now and then with a slight shake of the earth or, a sudden downpour, but we are not bothered to care about these hints. We are busy destroying everything around us, the balance in nature, the flora and fauna and everything. The Trip to Naini Tal

The summers in Delhi was at its peak and the temperature was the highest in a few years. the heat was unbearable. That weekend for a long one for me as I was fortunate enough to get three weekly-offs together. This made it the perfect moment to plan for a weekend getaway to Naini Tal. Naini Tal was about 320 Km from Delhi and the drive was joyous. We crossed villages in Moradabad and Hapur and saw some beautiful fields on the way before we reached Naini tal at around 0325hrs on 10th May 2008. We had started off for the trip at around 0620hrs the same day. We reached late by almost an hour because our car had a flat tyre twice on the way. The Story of a new blast

In one of my earlier post I had discussed about the blast at Mumbai. Its is been more than a year since then, and here we have the latest blast at Jaipur. In this long one year our government is yet to start their initiatives against these terrorists. Condolences, political visits to the site and everything else is still on, but ask them what is the action they have taken to prevent these things from happening again and you would not find an answer. At times I wonder what could be the reason to this? When I first started to blog, my feeling was that my blog would be read by a thousand visitors from the first day itself. Though the reason why I started blogging was because I wanted a medium to express myself, I still yearned for people to visit my blog and read what I wrote. I had never wanted to blog for money and that was not my objective when I started to blog. But as I matured as a blogger, I learnt about paid-blogging and accepted a few projects from a few paid-blogging companies. That is when I received a mail from a "Skylar Sinclaire" from an email address 'bigbucks@blog-for-bucks.com' requesting for a few posts in my blog for some money. I had no reasons to doubt their integrity and agreed to the project. They agreed to pay me on a date after about 15 days from the date I made the posts. My ancestral home was a pleasure to visit. The memories of the days I spent in that few days that we would visit our native is worth cherishing for a lifetime. Everything about the house was special. I was browsing through the internet the other day and was surprised to find one of my poems published in a website. I had never published it in any websites or, had given it to anyone to publish. It was then that I remembered that I had written the poem while I was sitting at the airport a month back. There were people sitting around me, but I hardly noticed them because I was busy with my laptop. "Privacy " is a noun, less found these days. Forget about celebrities, whose lifes are a feed for daily news, even a common man like me have lost privacy. We do not have the right to blame it on anyone except ourselves because it is we who are responsible for this invasion into our privacy. So, what is a solution to it? The available solutions would all, not be that comfortable, but do we have a choice? Probably, not. I have been a tax payer from the 3rd year that I started to work. I used to pay 20% of what i earned in the first 2 years and then 30% of my earnings since the 3rd year of my career. Appraisals would not make much of a change to my salary because a more that proportionate amount would be deducted as TDS (tax deducted at source) and when I get my salary, the amount would be much like what I was getting normally. Every financial year end would see a harakiri - a hasteful run to invest in whatever options possible and as much as possible so that I save something at least. A visit to Qutab Minar
