Mute Math , the electro-alt-rock, the funny name and the hot voices. I like these guys, they have lots of energy. Some tracks sound post-U2, there are hints of Coldplay, a dash of The Mars Volta energy, all upheld by often very DJ Shadow influenced grooves. Vocally, Paul Meany has moments reminiscent of Police-era Sting and has the knack of speaking truth and honesty without ever sounding preachy or cliché. “I blame it [our style] on the past forty years of music,” explains Meany. And he means it. Their repertoire of live instruments include a Fender Rhodes, a Keytar (what you get when you cross a keyboard with a guitar) and even some weird homemade instrument called The Atari. Do you think the Oscars can go on far to long? Do you get lost in what happens.. do you think actual show goes on far to long. Eh well I get over it real quick.. lets move on.New Zealand's Hero party that was on previous weekend gone, included in that has been month long of other things happening, one of them was the art show at Morganst Gallery. Recently a friend of mine told me that he is gay. He didn’t say that he struggles with being gay. He didn't say that he was trying to fight it. He told me that he has a boyfriend and that he hadn't told anyone that he had these feelings, until recently.Up to that point, the issue was black and white for me.
