And judging from the reactions of our young book reviewers, they are books that touch their realities in sometimes profound ways. Witness the quote from the summary ? Within this book lies an intricate and winding plot which Pico ult guides the reader through smoothly. Once started, this book is almost impossible to put down because it is absolutely captivating. Never is there a dull moment, and although it may appear to be long, it is quite a fast read. Picoult manages to tell this story of a controversial topic without going overboard and to add in a plot twist or two that produce countless emotions.

The Secret Life of Bees is a delightful book it has great character development, and is also very descriptive, and powerful. There is nothing about this book to dislike. I recommend this book for people who enjoy a deep plot with mystery intertwined.
