This is a blog which I created because I wanted to dig into the ancient Greeks thoughts and ideas about astrology and astronomy. This is not a blog which is intended to read ones horoscope information, like we do in modern time. This is rather an int

Constellations of ancient Egypt
2009-01-26 01:54:00
In the last post I talked about the border line between two very old empires, I probably left you a bit ‘hanging’ in regards, to… so much more... *heh* well this is because it is not possible for anyone to explain something in short, especially not at the levels of how the ancient Egypt ian worked. There is even clear evidence that the constellations changed in ancient Egypt.Let me present you with a picture from Sety I tomb:Sety the First belongs to the 19 Dynasty, which were around 1200 B.C. He was not a king by blood (royal blood),but he indeed was a true king of his time. This image portrays some of the constellation of ancient Egypt, and how they choose to see them. The harmony which one can see everywhere in their writing and images, seem to be less preferred when it comes to this part of the tomb. Their placement seems as important as the images themselves. I completely understand why some descendants thought this to be a devils work, especially considering how the creat...

Ancient Egyptian Astrology
2009-01-25 01:54:00
I started this blog out by describing each constellation, somewhat through the Macedonian’s (Greeks) point of view. Their legends and myths change through each century and their rulers, and other factors.- Now why did I go about it in this way, if I wanted to describe the ancient Egyptian s point of view?Simply because between these two Empires lies a truth, a distinct border between the ‘old ways’ and the new so-called ‘modernized people’, which we all descend from, as we also descend from the older ones of the ‘older ways.’Ancient Egypt could probably be called the last great civilization from the more ancient world. And through this great society, we have their surviving documents and monuments, which teach us much from a ‘lost past.’ One thing which depicts the ‘border-line’ between the very ancient ones and the new world was the most basic to our nature, namely the writing systems, which became more like the Greeks. But surely it must be the zodiac represent...

Astrology in Religion
2009-01-09 00:37:00
The question is what is the view of astrology from a religious point of view?- First off, very different, individual. But it is truly a mistake to think that ‘The Lord’ strikes down upon astrologers for their passion of this field. Actually most religions mentions the stars in some sort of way, they are guides, givers, and takers, they can strike down, or be like a miracle. Many religions have it termed as a devils’ work (one article I am writing is actually about this, and how one version of these religions go). But it has never been the devils work, rather you should see the term astrology in a completely new way; It is a substance to our humane race, a place where thoughts/creativity and the scientific mind can meet, either through the planets existence or through the symbols we write. The best way to understand religious thoughts and astrology if you ask me would be through the ancient Egyptians. One statement, which have existed even to this day, but is originally from Anc...

Native American Astrology
2008-11-25 17:34:00
The Native American s are the people that have always lived in what is now known as America, both the North and the South. They a like the Berber’s that I descend from a tribal people, that still practice the ancient ways of thinking.Actually their ‘Astrological symbol’ is their Totem (look into totem polls), it was also an identification mark for each clan (each tribal group). In these astrological charts, I would be classified as being a Crow, an animal of the Wind/air. Look up your own birthday, and see what Zodiac sign you are in Native American astrology:http://www.xtraastrology.com/na tive_american_astrology.htmlhttp://www.wh ats-your-sign.com/native-american-animal- symbols.html

November; Pluto enters The sign of CapricornJanuary 2008 until 2024Pluto is the most outer planet of our solar system. The planet is around 248 years to circular the Sun one time. The last time that Pluto stood in the sign Capricorn is over 200 years ago, to be more specific in the year 1760 until 1778 (some say 1762). Actually 1760 was a leap year, but also a year of many events. The King of Great Britain and Ireland, George II, Duke of Brunswick-Luneburg(Hanover) and Archtreasurer and Prince-Elector of the Holy Roman Empire, had a hard century. His relationship with his father had been filled with hardship and unhappiness, and it was replaced with his own sons’ resentment towards him.Towards his later life something rather interesting happened. In the year 1752 George II suddenly wanted to change ...

The Astrolabe
2008-11-09 14:11:00
Is an astronomical device that was used in ancient days. It is of Arabic nature, they were great sailors, and with this device and others, they could navigate night and day. Who is the person that invented such a device, seems as unknown as the uses of device in itself. We are now in the age of copper lines of information being pumped into us from each direction. Small wire thingies mixed with satellites, and here we go. Most people use the computer for calculating a horoscope chart in our time, but there are still people that make them by hand – the good old way.But the astrolabe is truly a fascinating object, embedded with such lovely math, numbers floating in circles. The earliest mentioning of the astrolabe is said to be in the 12 century. It is not obvious that this device just came into being in the 12 century, merely because the Arabic people had been sailing much before the 12 century. It is of such complex nature, that it must be much older than that. We probably just have...
'Oldest star chart' Found
2008-10-27 00:19:00
Where does the knowledge of astronomy and astrology descend from? How is it that no one ever forgot about Orion and His belt, yet we forgot how? Still I can pin point his belt, and the satellites give us even more information about this great place. But who taught us? How did we suddenly know and understand the conception of space and time?In 1979 Dr Michael Rappenglueck was in a project in the Ach Valley in the Alb-Danube region of Germany, where they found an Ivory tablet with something upon it. There was also found bone ashes and other deposits next to the Ivory tablet, which was taken samples of.From http://newsimg.bbc.co.ukThe samples revealed a huge surprise, they were dated to be between 32.500 and 38.000 years old!One side clearly represented a man, both of his arms are lifted, and one of his legs was also lifted a little bit. This would mean that this was the oldest representation of a man, ever found. The other side was filled with small dots, it is thought that these ‘do...

The Astrological Ages
2008-09-22 11:45:00
The Twelve ages of the ZodiacThe modern thoughts and theories behind the concept of an astrological age, probably comes directly from the conceptions about Jesus, from his birth until his death (maybe even the three days after) and then the ancient Egyptians offer some extra evidence for these theories. What age… Aquarius? Huh-ah! Time to get going! Many experts on the topic of astrology agree that we about to entered the Age of Aquarius, or that it is in the near future. And then there are others that have other theories, such as, that this age was more than four centuries ago.The ages of the zodiac is based upon the phenomenon known as the precession of the equinoxes. The precession of the equinoxes is the rotations of the earth, but also its rotation in its orbit space.Let’s see if we can break it down even more:It is said that the earths ‘wobbling’ (and more) are following a cycle of around 25,765 years (others say 25,920 years), said in other words, it takes the equinox a...

Apollo 11The Eagle that once flew
2008-08-27 00:44:00
I choose to believe. This article contains some well known public information about NASA' Apollo space missions, but also my own thoughts besides this. I have also taken other thoughts into account, to keep things as neutral as one who already has chosen, can be ;)[NOTE: I know how there are many people that believe that it was/is a big Hoax. To this I can only say; I do not know, if or if not. I will let this be to the experts who had and have control over the projects. If everything indeed is a hoax, then mankind has punched itself in the face, which we seem to be doing more often… I can only say this; I choose to believe. In the end, everything becomes a choice, and so do I choose. I could not go on writing this, without giving the other side some credibility to their beliefs and thoughts, and I do find them interesting, others I find a bit obscure. No matter what, the whole earth should be coming together in a total humane way, for us to survive our own needs and lusts. I am i...

The StarDust Mission

MISSION: To collect dust and carbon-based samples during its closest encounter with Comet Wild 2.In 1999 NASA launched a Discovery Mission called ‘Stardust ’, the main purpose of this mission was to come into contact with the coma of a comet [Wild 2], which it did in January 2004. The spacecraft returned to Earth/Utah United states on January 15, 2006.MISSION Overview - http://stardust.jpl.nasa.gov/mission/inde x.html WHO:NASA, Discovery mission - http://discovery.nasa.gov/ THE PLANETARY SOCIETY - http://www.planetary.org/about/“Phase 1” BeginsBack in the beginning of 2006 I was watching CNN one night, and what a ‘right’ night to be watching. There was a man speaking about a new NASA project, which would be open to everyone who had an internet connection, in the world. The project would start some time after, so I noted the start-da...

The Tarocchi Of Mantegna Cards
2007-05-15 01:01:00
These cards are dated to 1465 A.D.There is only very little known about this deck of cards; Some attributes this deck of cards to a Andreas Mantegna (1431-1506);Andrea Mantegna was a Renaissance artist living in Italy. He was a serious student of Roman archaeology, which some of his sketches show. Since Andrea were a child, he was fortunate to be thought by some of his century great artists. At the age of eleven he was an apprentice of Francesco Squarcione (A Padovan-Italy, artist 1397 – 1468). It is probably through Francesco that Andrea became so fascinated by ancient Rome, Francesco was almost in love with ancient Rome. Andrea was only around 17 years old when he was called together with Nicoló Pizolo to work with a large artist group on decorating the Ovetari Chapel, Andrea Mantegna finished most of the work alone.Kenneth Clark attributes the cards to a Parrasio Michele (Micheli);I personally wonder why Kenneth Clark thinks the cards are attributed to Parrasio?.. The T...

Tarot for Beginners
2007-05-07 00:35:00
Starting Point:I recommend taking you're time in these first steps, because they will be very important. The first step in the practice of Tarot (tarot-reading) is the choice of cards, which deck will fit your personality the best? There is many thousands of tarot deck, everything from angle cards to the Indians totem animals. This part should be taken very seriously, as these will be the messenger to you.Personal account:I will here give you my personal account, so you have something to compare to; Back in 1995-96 I bought ‘the standard tarot deck’, which is Aleister Crowley’s tarot deck. I call this deck standard, because it is standard here in Denmark where I live, and actually it is mostly this deck of cards that the shops carry. Then I started out in the small way, making reading for myself. But personally I found it harder to do a reading over myself, I tend to think the very worst about myself. The very best way – is non-existing – like everything else ‘perfect’...

DEATHCard XIII in the Tarot Deck
2007-05-02 03:21:00
This Card could probably also be called ‘Osiris’, whom was the ancient Egyptian god for the underworld. (The underworld is much like the Northern mythology of Valhalla, which was an afterlife kingdom among the skies.)Speaking about Death, when it comes to either a tarot reading or an Astrology reading, is such a sensitive case, which most people still to this day misunderstand. The image above is the ’death card’ in the Marseilles tarot deck, some refer to this card as ‘devil, trader, the loss card’ etc. Actually the Marseilles cards are not old at all, they are collected and named around 1930 by the French cartomancer Paul Marteau, the word Cartomancer means ‘the art of reading through cards’.     Th e oldest set of cards is probably the Cary-Yale Visconti deck (Image above) which is a hand painted deck of cards coming from Italy. It was the high noble family called Visconti, this family line dominated northern Italy between the 14th and 15th ...
