Creating effective banner ads for dating sites by Shimrit Elisar
2007-06-28 07:08:00
If you own a dating site and want to run an ad campaign that will get you actual, immediate results (i.e. people signing up to your site) as opposed to branding, you’re far better off running an ad campaign online rather than offline. Online, the people you are trying to sell your services to are only a few clicks away from your site and everything is trackable, allowing you to see exactly how your campaign is performing. Online banners are interactive, giving you more options to play with compared to , say, a newspaper ad. This is not always good, though, as it seems to make some advertisers and designers lose their heads and forget the whole purpose of this exercise (i.e. getting people to sign up to the site). Manyof the world’s biggest dating sites got big not because of branding but because of direct marketing campaigns designed to bring in as many customers as possible. Direct marketing is everything branding isn’t and people who come from one discipline often find it ve...

7 JVs You Might Not Have Thought About by Terry
2007-06-28 07:06:00
The cheapest and easiest way to promote your product is through joint ventures. Make use of other people’s lists, other people’s relationship with their customers, and other people’s traffic. When you want to promote your product, the easiest way to get out there is to set up 50/50 deals with list owners that sell to your target market (this method is so powerful it’s often in your benefit to even do the deal even if you have to give up 70% or 80% of the money to the list owner). That’s a basic joint venture. Today I want to share you a few other ways you can profit from other people’s traffic and lists without using the “normal” joint venture (these 7 come from the 21 shared in the Email Marketing Mastery course). < Continue > Enjoy Your Read? The Manifest Advantages of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder by Zenofeller
2007-06-28 07:05:00
A crippling mental condition is a great thing to have. Well, maybe not for the actual sufferer. It’s certainly a great thing to have around. Or at least I enjoy it. It keeps me happy, amused and quite frankly, if the world ran out of OCD there’d be not enough Zoloft for my depression. The most fun ones however, aren’t the clinical cases, so far gone the weird chute you can barely make them out. No. The best laugh comes from people that are just marginally under the water, shifting in and out of it, the subclinical, unaware of their problem, thinking they’re you know, just normal, and wondering how come things never turn out normal for them. < Continue > Enjoy Your Read? Using Brute Force to Find Profits in Affiliate Marketing by Derek Beauchemi
2007-06-28 07:04:00
Finding winning PPC affiliate marketing campaigns can be tough. It is especially difficult when you spend a lot of time researching a market, setting up a landing page or website, and creating a nice PPC campaign only to find out that, for one reason or another, the promotion isn’t a success. There are so many variables when promoting products and services through PPC search engines that it is very difficult to consistently choose markets and develop them into profitable campaigns. Among other things, the market could be full of tire kickers, the competition could be too fierce for you to handle, or the merchant you are promoting just doesn’t convert. < Continue > Enjoy Your Read? Lets StumbleUpon a Project by Ian Fernando
2007-06-28 07:02:00
I am very excited that since joining StumbleUpon. I have been getting good traffic from the network. Since joining I was thinking of ways to optimize and use SU (StumbleUpon) to my advantage. I have been searching Google, to see if anyone has a good idea to use SU to generate traffic. Well in similarity, I was just browsing Dosh Dosh blog and I remember reading a Technorati Favorite Exchange. I thought to myself, thinking creatively, like I usually do. Can I take the same concept as Dosh Dosh did for Technorati and use it with StumbleUpon? < Continue > Enjoy Your Read? Great! Buy Me A Drink?

How to Make a Screenshot by Barbra Sundquist
2007-06-28 07:00:00
A “screenshot” is a snapshot of what’s on your computer’s screen. For instance, here is a screenshot of what I see when I go to Google. You can see that the screenshot includes everything that I normally see on my computer screen, including the titles, menus and stuff at the bottom of the screen. The reason it looks kind of fuzzy is because I have made the screenshot smaller to fit here. If I had left it the original size it would be just as clear as any page on my computer. < Continue > Enjoy Your Read? Great! Buy Me A Drink?

More Optimization - Meta Tags, Titles, Common Mistakes
2007-06-15 16:32:00
The meta keywords tag allows you to provide additional text for crawler-based search engines to index along with your body copy. How does this help you? Well, for most major crawlers, it doesn’t.
