Get Your Blog Approved - Remind ReviewMe
2008-02-28 00:00:00 Today, I received an email from the ReviewMe Support Team confirming that Blog ging Mix has been accepted to their list of eligible reviewers. It took me almost 7 months before the ReviewMe admin finally gave their approval for Blogging Mix. I first signed up with ReviewMe 7 months ago. Back then, Blogging Mix was just new so it did not meet the minimum requirements prescribed by ReviewMe. Blogging Mix was denied. It was the first time Blogging Mix was denied by a Review Site but I didn’t feel discouraged. On the contrary, I took it as a challenge, which motivated me to improve my blog statistics. After 7 months of waiting and Blogging Mix wasn’t still approved, I decided to email the ReviewMe Support Team to inquire about the problem. I have seen several blogs that have been accepted at ReviewMe, which I believe are no better than Blogging Mix. In my email to the ReviewMe Support Team, I’ve requested them to check back and reconsider Blogging Mix. They...
The Sponsored Post Phobia - Are You SP-Phobic?
2008-02-27 00:00:00 When Google started to hunt down bloggers selling their page rank to advertisers, a huge number of bloggers turned their backs on paid reviews and all forms of text link ads. Suddenly, links to advertisers now include a ‘nofollow’ attribute. Most bloggers who have been monetizing their blogs from sponsored posts deleted their accounts in all the review sites they’ve joined. Advertisers on the other hand, slowed down with sponsored posts because the Google police force has also decided to go after them. Opportunities available at PPP and Sponsored Reviews apparently went down, which affected bloggers using these services to monetize their blogs. Most of the advertisers who decided to stick with sponsored review as their marketing strategy now require their publishers non disclosure of the sponsored review. photo credit: circulating Interestingly, the decision of Google to penalize both publishers and advertisers engaged in the buying and selling of ... Netizens - Immune To Advertisements
2008-02-21 00:00:00 Recent research shows that the netizens are becoming more and more immune to advertisements. They seem to have been trained and programmed to ignore, if not abhor it. As a result, the number of disgruntled advertisers continue to grow, which tremendously decreased opportunities for publishers. During the early days of its introduction, Adsense was thought to be an effective method to monetize blogs. Almost everyone with a website has Adsense displayed on it. Today, the once considered lucrative blog monetization method now only works to a few heavily trafficked websites. One by one, publishers started to strip off Adsense on their blogs and embrace the new face of advertisement… the 125X125 banner. Suddenly, sidebars started to become crowded with different 125X125 advertisements. At the same time, Entrecard was born giving more reasons to go with the trend. As soon as the netizens became aware that 125X125 banners are usually advertisements, they started to... More About: Advertisements

2008-02-20 21:10:00 In June 2000, the U.S. government passed the E-sign bill, which gives electronic signatures the same legality as hand-written ones. The passing of this law has made doing business online a lot more efficient and convenient. Online entrepreneurs, like bloggers, are often times engaged in contract negotiation with parties from the other side of the world. Sometimes, when both parties cannot agree on the terms of the contract, a lot of time and resources are wasted. Instead of using your time to do more productive things, you’re caught up with a lot of tasks to do including printing, editing, faxing document etc. These inconveniences can be avoided through the help of MiddlePost. What is MiddlePost? MiddlePost.com offers a service for people to send documents out for signatures. The recipient receives the document, he/she can comment, add a revision and when the document is readly, he/she can sign it online. No printing or faxing required. Entrecard Traffic - Disliked By Advertisers
2008-02-15 00:00:00 Since Monday, I’ve been exchanging emails with an advertiser interested to replace the space that Google Adsense occupies on my blog. The offer was really tempting so I decided to accept their offer. Before the agreement can be finalized, they need me to send copies of my traffic statistics, which I gladly complied with. They specifically requested for the screen shots of my daily unique traffic, daily page view, traffic source overview, traffic from referring websites and bounce rate. Here’s how my traffic source overview, traffic from referring websites and bounce rate looks like. I thought things are going to be okay after I sent all they requested until I receive their email this morning. Dear Rocky, Thank you very much for accepting our offer. It was a difficult decision to make, but, we have decided to decline from our offer because of the following reasons: The quality of traffic of your website does not meet our company’s standards. The 3 Benefits Of Knowing Your Blog Readers
2008-02-12 00:00:00 As a researcher, part of my job is spent on getting more information about our client’s customers. Most of our clients are multi-national corporations and they are willing to pay thousands of dollars just to obtain more information about their customers. Why do these companies pay such a huge amount of money for these information? How valuable are these information and how do they help these companies achieve their corporate objectives? The answer is simple. Customers are the lifeblood of these companies and by having a thorough knowledge about them, these companies are able to identify the products and services that will sell and make them profit. The same concept applies to a blog. Although this time, we are talking about blog readers. Do You Know Your Blog Readers ? Did you ever try to learn more about your blog readers? Do you know what kind of posts are they interested in? What part of the world do they come from? What time of the day do they usually visit your blog?... More About: Benefits , Knowing

11 Blogging Tips On Writing For Non Native English Speakers
2008-02-06 09:00:00 English is the most widely spoken language so I won’t be surprised if you choose to use it on your blog even if you’re not a native English speaker. Being a non native English speaker myself, I have decided to use English because of the huge potential readership. SEOmeter.com - How Often Does Google Crawl Your Website?
2008-02-04 08:00:00 Does it matter? Yes. Google crawls millions of websites roughly once a month in what is known as the “Deep Crawl ”. Deep Crawling enables Google to update its index and the search result it gives back to its users. If, however, Google relies entirely on the deep crawl, its index would quickly become outdated in the rapidly changing web. To stay updated, Google launches various supplemental fresh crawls that skim the web more shallowly and frequently than the deep crawl. These supplementary crawls freshens the index by updating the content of some sites. Getting fresh crawls from Google, therefore, improves your website’s traffic from Google. Moreover, websites frequently crawled are much more credible and trusted by search engines. The higher the frequency search engines crawl your website, the more trusted it is. Also, a website frequently crawled by search engines has a better ranking in the Search Engine Result Page. The problem is, we can’t see... More About: Website
