Hi everyone! I spent my weekend in a far flung area doing an outreach program to some unfortunate Chinese orphans. It was fun but I didn’t have access to the internet, which explains why I haven’t been able to post new articles. John Cow who made his last drop of Entrecard, Becky who also dropped her Entrecard and Ritu who bid goodbye to Entrecard and is giving away all his credits are among the few Blog gers who gave up on Entrecard. I frequently come across blogging tips on writing as if writing a post is all that matters in a blog. While writing is an important element of blogging, there’s more to Blogging than writing. One of my mistakes when I was new to blogging was to spend so much time writing my next post. I was worried that if my next post wasn’t interesting enough or wasn’t well written enough that somehow it might alienate my blog readers.  When writing my post, a usual problem that keeps recurring is the lack or absence of an idea for me to work with. To solve this problem, I resort to ‘Blog Scanning’ hopeful that I’ll be able to pick a topic or get ideas from other blogs. This method wasn’t always effective and helpful. In fact, the posts I wrote resulting from blog scanning were mediocre. Publishers outside North America, Latin America and Japan can no longer participate in the Adsense Referral Program (referral promoting the use of Adsense). First, Adsense is going to change their payout for Adsense Referral Program. Currently, Adsense pays their publisher $5 if a person they refer earns $5. Moreover, if a publisher refers someone to AdSense who makes $100 within 180 days, the publisher gets $250. Unexpectedly, my previous post on why it is better to network with NON Problogger got picked by Darren Rowse. To my surprise, he made a post about it and acknowledge my points. He also linked to my post, which spiked my blog traffic and comment. For months, I’ve been trying to get the attention of some Probloggers but had no luck. My post about why John Chow is the Paris Hilton of the Blogosphere is one my attempts to seduce John Chow into linking to my blog. Unfortunately, none of my attempts worked. Yesterday however was different because I wasn’t trying to seduce Darren Rowse, John Chow or Jeremy Schoemaker to link to my blog but Darren did. Thanks Darren! Today’s post is suppose to be a ‘Thank You Post’ to Darren but I’d like to make a twist into it.
