How To Use This Secret To Grow Profits
2008-02-22 20:43:00 It was the late Napoleon Hill with his ?Think And Grow Rich? to introduce this secret that introduced this concept to the masses. Unfortunately for entrepreneurs, still many haven?t read his book or after reading it, applied this secret. This secret is a mastermind group. Unlike you hear from so-called internet marketers who form joint ventures and a close group of friends, a mastermind is pure business and not meant to be ?fun?. It?s aimed at producing results for the participants and that?s the only reason people should come together at such a meeting. After applying the secret of masterminding I?ve found great successes, hidden money in my business and utilized strategies unheard of in my industry to instantly crash the competition. The true power lays in how the group is build and how meetings are done. Building a group isn?t like bringing a group of internet marketers together and have them talk about marketing on the internet. It?s about bringing successful entrepreneurs, cons... How To Make 500% More Sales From Your Articles And Blogs Starting Today
2008-02-20 15:36:00 Today I want to reveal my best conversion tactic, to immediately boost your sales from articles and blog postings. Actually I really want to share it, since it also helps your readers and the overall online community. This is a tactic based on honesty and helpful information. The moment I started using this tactic I?ve seen my sales raise from 3 or 4 to up to 20 sales per blogpost. That?s an average, from a blog that receives just 2,000 visitors per month. It has also grown my reputation amongst readers, which immediately resulted in more activity on the forum and blog commenting. The Good, Bad And Ugly Model Every product I review, and even my own use this model. I try to highlight the positive and negative points of my own and other people?s products, giving the reader a good overview of what the product can and can?t do. By being honest about this they rarely request a refund and buyers are more responsive to future offers. Start by showing the positive sides of the product, in t... Top Four Online Conversion Boosters - A Lesson In Looking Good
2008-02-19 14:43:00 People always want to see what they expect to see. The moment they don?t see what they expect, some are turned off, others can even become angry at you. All the while it?s so easy to give people what they expect to see and get from you. Here are some examples that I?ve successfully implemented on my website, to give the people what they?d like to see. And it immediately boosted conversions too. 1. Authorization by Creditcard Processors These small buttons from VeriSign, PayPal and many others show the visitor that their credit card details are in safe hands. Not only is their data protected, but they also know that they can easily get their money back if there?s a problem or if the items aren?t to their satisfaction. 2. Secure Transactions And Data Submission Signs like that of ?Hacker Safe? let the visitor know that you?re protecting his information from hackers, thieves and other third parties. A privacy statement or button from a privacy protection company also helps. That way v... More About: Internet Marketing , Promotion , Online , Good , Lesson
Review: SEOInc.com
2008-02-18 16:19:00 With Google as the leading search engine on the internet, many business rely on visitors finding them by using Google to search for their product or services. If you have Google as your friend you can make your visitor counter go thru the roof, together with your profits. To have Google as your friend you need to focus on your relationship with them and invest in it. You can do this by researching the right keywords, optimizing your website for those and then gaining links for other ?friends of Google? sites. This process is called Search Engine Optimization, or in short SEO. SEOInc.com is one of the many companies offering Search Engine Optimization for your website. And like many others, they offer a full range of services. But what many people don?t know is that SEO is still in its infancy. Many ?witchdoctors? are selling solutions to your problems, but don?t even know how to build a website. They claim to be successful, though can never back up their claims. What really sets th... Using This Blog Scorecard To Achieve Better Results From Blogging
2008-02-17 13:31:00 Many businesses have an enormous load of paperwork and bureaucracy going on. Outsiders always question the purpose and need for this. But recently I found out why sometimes using paperwork can help you achieve your goals faster and easier. I?ve modeled my system to a post by Darren Rowse from ProBlog ger, tested it and kept extensive notes. After my tests I?ve found that it?s hard to use this Scorecard if you don?t make it a daily routine. That?s why I want to encourage you to use this system for thirty days, a full month. Don?t skip a single day. And if you do, use your spare time to get back on track. So what?s this Blog Scorecard all about? A scorecard is a piece of paper where you give yourself points for what you?ve done or accomplished. It helps you monitor your activities, keep up your motivation and allows an easy review to see if you?re still working towards your goals. My own Blog Scorecard looks like this: -15 Points for a long blogpost, of at least 600 words. -15 Points ... More About: Blogging , Results
What?s Your Business Model?
2008-02-16 12:32:00 What’s your business model? This post was guest blogged by Alan Johnson, the author of The Online Business Handbook. So you’re ready to spend a fortune on advertising your website? Can you just picture those profits rolling in? But wait a second, is the foundation upon which you plan on building solid to begin with? A lot of webmasters make the mistake of concentrating on all sorts of aspects related to their future website promotion or monetization efforts and end up neglecting the most important part of any project:the business model. No matter how hard you try, a structure built on a shaky foundation has no chances of lasting. Without a sound business model, every online entrepreneur will be in for a serious reality check. Let’s take blogging as an example andanalyze things for a moment. What is your business model as a blogger? What exactly makes you stand out compared to the millions of similar resources out there? Why would a person want to visit your website... More About: Advertising , Promotion , Model , Startups
Kick-Starting Your Networking With Blog Commenting
2008-02-15 13:28:00 Amongst all kinds of traffic generation methods, blog commenting is still one of the very best. It not only drives immediate traffic that?s already interested in your blog, but can also help you network with others in your market. That is of course if you do it right. In this article I?ll reveal my formula for getting the most out of your blog commenting efforts. First let me tell you that I use a daily routine. At the beginning of each day, to get my writing juices flowing, I comment on at least ten different blogs. This helps me get in the mood of writing and gets my creativity going, since I?m commenting on articles of various subjects. At the end of the day I do the same. Just like running, you have a warm-up and cool-down. The latter is essential to mentally put an end to the day, so that your mind is empty the moment you leave your computer. Plus it can bring you some ideas to write about on your blog the next day. Now I?ve found that there are good blogs to comment on for dif... Review: BuyTemplates.net
2008-02-14 10:52:00 Most of today?s websites are build using a Content Management System (CMS) and a template put around it. Therefore templates have become really hot. You can easily find thousands if not millions online, however just a few websites out there really provide templates that are worth their money. Other sites often offer the same templates or some that are of such a low quality that no visitor would ever stay on your site. The design of your website is just one part of the game. You also need to have a good navigation and make the coding clear and concise so that the search engines don?t have a hard time going thru it - resulting in lower rankings. Those are the two most common pitfalls when buying a new ?skin? for your site. BuyTemplates.net offers great and unique templates, but goes much further. Next to their standard service you can also have your design customized for you. Have them customize the look and feel of your site, put the content in place and put it on the web for you. B... Creating a Growth Agenda For Your Blog
2008-02-13 18:12:00 Sun Tzu?s book ?The Art Of War? has often been referred to in business and marketing, since business is actually war. You?re in business because you have a competitive edge over your competition, and you want to do everything to keep it. For that reason, many blogs have a clear strategy in place. This strategy is all about what the blog Is about and what it?s going to be and look like over time. To support the use of the strategy, many people set goals and milestones to track their efforts. That way you can easily see if you?re still working on your strategy and getting closer to your goals. To keep myself on track with my strategy I?ve setup a timeline for my business. A sort of agenda with To Do lists to grow my blog in terms of traffic, readership and content. This brings me closer to the goal of reaching more readers, breaking into the Technorati Top 1000 and making more money from the blog. Here?s how you can create a Growth Agenda for your blog: First write down where you want... More About: Blogging , Blog , Creating
How To Make More Money From Your Community
2008-02-12 15:24:00 In my previous article you could read how you can build a community from your blog, and why it?s essential you start creating a cooperation between your customers and staff. Once you have your community up and running, normally the members supply a lot of content and value to each other. Next to that you can add more value, and also earn more from it. This article will show you exactly how to make more money from the community you already built. It was Jay Abraham why once taught me there are three ways to make more money: gain more customers, sell more products to your customers, sell your products more often. By focusing on all three at one time you can achieve exponential growth. Following are my tips for all three paths to grow your business. 1. Expanding Membership Thru Trials A good way to get any prospect over the line is to offer a free or cheap trial. A trial that exceeds 1 month is even better, since the member has enough time to evaluate the value he?s getting for his mon... More About: Money , Community , Blogging , Make
Building a Community From Your Blog
2008-02-11 17:51:00 The top bloggers are doing it right at their own blog, others are using social networking - but still many companies and marketers haven?t created a community around their business. If your business relies on other sites linking to you or good search engine rankings, they can pull the plug and your business can be dead instantly. Working around this problem is simply, and many marketers have already found that the average retention ratio and Lifetime Customer Value has increased enormously. Involving your customers into a community makes them feel special, ?in charge? and more appreciated, which leads to customers buying more and more often. Following step-by-step tips on how to set this kind of community up have been made after studying Dan Kennedy, who has over 5,000 paying newsletter receivers at all time. Recently he sold a big chunk of his business for an 8-figure amount. Dan Kennedy based his whole business around a paid newsletter. His customers are referred to as Inner Circ... Analyzing Page Views per Visitor by Source
2008-02-10 18:19:00 I was doing my daily Analytics check this morning when I noticed something that reminded me of this post from about a month back. It analyzes the differences between getting Digg frontpaged and getting noticed by an A-list blogger. I decided to take a closer look at this idea using my own site as a reference for a sort of case study. Amit makes a lot of good points in this article. Some of which are links from A-list bloggers generate more active and friendly users (check). Digg generates more overall traffic but results in a ton of Dig and leave visitors (check). Digg users click less ads (check, although they still click, just less). Taking a Closer Look - Page Views by Source I think one of the best ways to compare the quality of Digg traffic vs A-list blogging links (as well as other sources) would be to compare the Page Views per Visitor of each of my top 10 referrals. This list is sorted from top to bottom by the number of overall referrals. Digg is my main referrer wit... More About: Internet Marketing , Promotion
Review: SubmitEdge.com
2008-02-08 14:26:00 I have spoken about SubmitEdge in my Case Studies so it was nice they contacted me to give a full overview of the services they offer. Having used them I can whole heartedly say they were very pleasent to deal with, concise and did exactly what I paid for. I cannot ask for anything more really. I will always outsource my off page Search Engine Optimisation roles so I’m sure to be using SubmiteEgde a lot more in the future. The first thing you see when hitting SubmitEgde’s main page is SubmitEdge is Ethical Search Engine Optimisation. Straight away I like the sound of that from a business point of view, and It sets me at ease and tells me something of how they treat their customers from the outstart. They started out in 2007 and already have completed work for over 4700+ websites/online businesses. Promote Your Site As Though Google Didn’t Exist
2008-02-07 13:17:00 Brian Clark has an excellent post about relying too much on Google for traffic. Believe it or not, my strategy since the beginning of Copyblogger has been to pretty much forget search engines exist. Don’t get me wrong… I’m not doing anything to annoy them, and I certainly don’t turn away visitors from search engines. I just don’t depend on them for traffic. This is a timely post because of the Google has been dropping the PageRank on some sites that sell links. Danny Sullivan, a premier search journalist, contacted Google about this and this is what they said: [Google] confirmed that PageRank scores are being lowered for some sites that sell links. In addition, Google said that some sites that are selling links may indeed end up being dropped from its search engine or have penalties attached to prevent them from ranking well. Maybe Google even targeted this site because we’ve gone down from PR5 to PR4. How to Stop Relying on Google Traffic Brian’s post giv... More About: Promote , Site , Exist
AWeber Integrates with FeedBurner!
2008-02-06 01:16:00 AWeber Communications, a leading provider of email marketing software for small businesses and bloggers have just announced that their Blog Broadcast RSS-to-email tool will now integrate into FeedBurner’s RSS tracking and publishing service. I’m a big fan of AWeber and this news makes me happy as I already know how important it is to track and monitor my email subscribers (something I haven’t been doing with Feedburner ) this positive step foward will make things easy for me to track my email subscribers and have far better control on how I contact them. The basis of this, is that it will enable more options and tools to track, trace and contact your blog subscribers. Offering far more tools than Feedburner currently did with their email subscription set-up. This has opened up another idea for me as I’m going to start offering mini business case studies just for my email subscribers. I can write these mini courses in advance using the AWeber queing tool which ... More About: News , Blogging
The Secret to Utilizing All Social Media Sites
2008-02-04 20:55:00 I’m a huge fan of SMM (Social Media Marketing), and I think it’s an amazing way to get yourself noticed if you have the right content. One thing that does sort of get under my skin though is that there are so many people out there trying to game social media and social networking services in order to promote themselves or their product. I’m not going to directly call anyone out, but there’s a good chance that if you go to just about any SEO blog you’re going to find posts giving you “tips & tricks” on how to game social media. Fortunately for you, you don’t have to read all of these other posts because I have the one (and only) secret to utilizing social media properly. The Problem The problem with SMM articles is that very few of them argue the value of social media and instead focus only on what you can get out of it. This is also the typical SEO mindset, but it is much more damaging in the social media world. They supply yo... More About: Promotion , Sites , The Secret
A Page From the John Chow Playbook
2008-02-04 10:00:00 When you do something that works, other people follow. Last year when John announced that he was trading reviews from his readers for linkbacks, he was met with a ton of reviews. This worked great for him as well as a lot of other people around the community that I’ve seen using this method. So now I’m doing it. I’m offering a free backlink (in the same style John does) for anyone who reviews my blog on theirs whether positive or negative. I’ll be doing one better, however, and selecting one of the reviewing bloggers per week and do a review on my blog as well. So not only do you get a free backlink, but depending on the quality of your review you may also get a review on my blog also. Simply write the review on your blog (containing at least 1 link back to my site) with whatever length of content you want and then contact me with the URL. That’s it. Here are a couple people who already reviewed my blog: Young Go Getter Bryan Le John Chow More About: Internet Marketing , Blogging , Page
5 Blogging Methods That Work
2008-02-02 10:00:00 I haven’t been in the blogging world all that long, but I’ve already noticed a few blogging methods that get rinsed and repeated by almost everyone (including me) whether intentionally or unintentionally. None of them are ground-breaking, and you’ve probably already been exposed to every one at one point in your life. However, using these methods properly can turn a seemingly uninteresting blog post into linkbait gold. 1. Breaking a Post Down into a List In case you don’t remember, I wrote a post not too long ago about why the masses enjoy lists so much. That was obviously a sarcastic article, but the basic principle that people like lists is true. Lists are concise, they keep the writer on point which in turn helps readers follow along much more easily, and they can be skimmed and dissected. If you doubt the power of lists even for a second, you should head over to the king of lists’ blog and check out how effective they are. Darren is a great bl... More About: Blogging , Work , Methods

MySpace to Open Doors to Developers
2008-01-31 12:59:00 Facebook Developers , Internet Marketers, Online Entrepreneurs get ready for some more traffic as MySpace is opening its doors to software developers allowing them to create games and media-sharing applications. MySpace are going to formally launch their “Developer Platform” next week, but are already allowing Developers to sign up now. The tools have been developed with Google and will allow programmers to create programs similar to those used by millions on rival site Facebook. The success of Facebook Apps has obviously got MySpace guys thinking its time to let Developers in, with nearly 15,000 applications already written for the site its got to be a positive move. Despite FaceBooks popularity it still lags behind MySpace in terms of overall users. MySpace has around 200 million registered users, compared to 63 million who use Facebook. Revealed: “Build Sites that Make Money” eCommerce Store - Part 3
2008-01-30 18:45:00 Finding a Wholesaler/Distributor is a fairly simple process although many find this part most difficult. Nine times out of ten you are going to need to call the wholesaler as many of the decent suppliers of a product you’re interested in will not accept emails etc… With “WebKinz” I decided to use trusty Google and managed to find a distributor in 10 seconds, I then phoned them to be given my area manager. I did the following: “product keyword” + wholesaler “product keyword” + distributor That’s it. Another very good but it is the longer, harder route (this is what people hate doing) Trade Shows. These shows are a place where you can find the vendors/suppliers you need to work with. Just search on Google again for Trade Shows that match your business idea. There will, more then likely be a yearly trade show for your product/idea within your area. Some you have to pay for and others are free, you can turn up and speak to so many su... Become a Great Copywriter in 5 Hours or Less
2008-01-28 22:49:00 One of the best business/motivation books I’ve probably read is “How to Think and Grow Rich” I mention this because it focuses around the premise of Modelling the Success of others. When I started reading it that didn’t sink in at first. I do believe in that if you want to be successfull a good place to start at least at first, is to model the strategies of those whom are already successful. This way, you can soak every piece of information up and use it to your advantage quicker than it might take you if you were to start from scratch. In Web copywriting the best way to become a Successful Copywriter is to select a website or sales page that you like and you know is producing sales. Simple really…well yes and no. I’m no expert in this, but I have studied sales pages and written a few myself. I would use this technique myself mainly to help get the job done quickly as I really do hate writing. Top Secret Spy Tool for Bloggers
2008-01-27 12:59:00 I first started using Google Alerts when I was heavily involved in my own online eCommerce Business. Now that I’m not, I use it for ideas and to spy on competitors. You can select from any category, key-term you want then you can set by the type which is - News, Blogs, Web, Video, Groups and comprehensive (never used the last one). You can also filter it by as-it-happens, daily or weekly. All that happens now is, you will receive email results based on the market you’re interested in. This will save you time looking for information on your market and for bloggers it will also help with writers block for the days when you struggle to come up with an idea for a good article. At the moment I’m finding it very useful to see what businesses are doing online and to get good ideas and general information on a wide variety of subjects. I’ve purposely blanked out what I subscribe too (cannot give you too much information). Google email me on a daily basis and someti... The Prospect Analysis is my favourite as I have been trapped by this before. Buying my fair share of eBooks, although honestly for knowledge rather than to get rich over night. The only nightmare again, is you’ll be tricked into visiting their Nightmare sales page to sell you another nightmare product. You have been warned. What Goes into a Logo
2008-01-25 15:33:00 NetBusinessBlog is getting a new logo - the old was, to put it bluntly, knocked together fast from the guys who designed the site. It was on my list of things to change and as of now it is being designed. I am getting rid of the money images, cash etc as I feel they’re very cheesy and not what I was actually looking for when I had a vision for the new site. Online Branding is the cornerstone of your business identity. Your logo appears on your signs, business cards, adverts and lots of other promotional material. It?s critical to your business to have a professional, impressionable and memorable logo that accurately reflects and conveys the essence of your company and business. My Web Development company recently built an eCommerce Store. The following is our normal procedure before we even start to build the structure for an eCommerce store. We asked our client to think about a brand which would be easy to remember when thinking about their products. They ended up with 5 or ... More About: Logo
Mini (Niche) Affiliate Site using a Forum - Part 9
2008-01-24 18:08:00 Ok, another update in the quest to build a Niche Forum that will eventually make money. Sumbit2Please seem to have finally got started and it looks good as they are slowly adding OapInsure to directories (500 of them in total). I get the confirmation emails sent to me, so I can see what directories the site is going in which is great. SumbitEdge have also completed my 500 word Article and are about to start adding that Article to 100 Article Directories. I am fairly happy with the quality of the Article and the density of the keywords used within it. It’s not 100% (because I’m quite fussy) but it is enough to bring traffic in the long run I feel. This is something I will pay for Monthly as It’s well worth the money I spent. I’m pleased, as its all positive marketing that I could not have done without outsourcing these jobs as I am too busy running my web development company (and updating this blog) to even think about doing these important tasks. Review: Mass Mail Software
2008-01-22 22:58:00 Email Marketing, is it still a useful tool? - Mass Mail Software who produce tools for online entrepreneurs obviously think it still is. Email marketing is almost as old as Email itself, still this form of marketing can be your most powerful and should not be underestimated. Just a few years ago SPAM messages were reaching more than 90% of all email! It was feared that email marketing would have died out by now but Email marketing actually grew by 40% last year and remains almost the number one tool for marketing for most online businesses. What makes or breaks an Email campaign is whether or not your mail is considered SPAM or not, so getting past an ISP is now harder than ever in 2008. There are two main types of email Marketing - “spamvertising” and the very similiar but sounds consumer friendly “customer relationship cummunication” If you’re not opted in to receive emails from a sender or not and if the mail in question has nothing to do with your ... 2008-01-21 23:43:00 So to recap from yesterdays Post - Revealed: ?Build Sites that Make Money ? eCommerce Store - I now need to find out more about the products people are buying from the categories and keywords I selected. First off “star wars” this is a no brainer in this category but very saturated as like DVDs its just simple, everyone loves it, so why not sell it? Not to say we couldn’t go into this market as we could easily. Keep your options open for now. Very quickly I see something interesting after having a quick search about. I took a big liking to “WebKinz” now I have no idea what they are or how popular they are as a product, but after about three minutes I can see why they sell. WebKinz are very collectable it seems (remember beanie babies?) I was suprised to see they’ve been around since 2005 (you can tell I don’t have kids yet) as I would have said they were a fad and fads are good for so long - this may or may not be a long term eCommerce Store... Revealed: ?Build Sites that Make Money? eCommerce Store
More articles from this author:2008-01-20 20:41:00 In this three of four part series (not sure yet) I am going to reveal how to build a Successful eCommerce Store. I was involved in setting up a very successful eCommerce store in 2003 to 2006 and now that store turns over more than $10 Million per year and is only four years old. (I am no longer a part of the company) The positive thing about creating your own eCommerce store is that the oportunity to make lots of money is still very much there. In all markets most Stores are ignorant to their oportunity to make lots of money. In terms of their effectiveness, most eCommerce Stores are a complete waste of time. Seriously, there are so many badly designed, badly structured, badly coded, badly optimised (if at all) eCommerce Stores that this means there is so much room for improvement.
