I had covered bux.to in a post yesterday and another one called Hits4Pay a while back. While browsing through the bux.to forums, I came across some other similar programs: DailyClicks DailyClicks offers payouts that are not as competitive as bux.to. Free members are paid $0.01 for every ad they view. Free members also get $0.0050 for every referral click while upgraded members get $0.01 for every referral click. Paid Bux PaidBux has payouts similar to bux.to free member accounts. I’m sure there are tons of other similar sites. If you can manage to take out about 30 minutes from your daily schedule, sign up for bux.to, DailyClicks, and PaidBux and earn some easy money. Don’t expect miracles please. And bloggers can evaluate this service if they want to get paid blogging! The interface is simple and easy to use. BuyBlogReviews keeps 30% as commission. A 70% earnings on the bid amount is quite good compared to other sites. Just not this, they have an affiliate program as well. Experimenting with AdEngage

I’ve just signed up for AdEngage and will be experimenting with it on this blog. The site is simple to use and it took me only 5 minutes to have the first ad up and running on this blog. This is what it looks like for a horizontal 600 pixel ad showing 2 ads: There are several options available to tweak, to ensure that it fits well within your website theme. In fact, you can see an advertisement just below the first post on the main page. While reading their FAQ section for publishers, I came across this nice graphic which talks about good ad placement. I for one need to improve some of the ad placements on this blog based on this graphic. NOTE: For only $5/week you can have your own advertisement campaign on this blog. WordPress pingbacks finally work!

For the last few months, there were no pingbacks/trackbacks being displayed for posts on Online Presence. I never got the time to dig into it till today. It turned out that my hosting provider had disabled access to xml-rpc for security purposes. Luckily, they provided a mechanism using the .htaccess file to enable it, if required. I tried it out and viola!, pingbacks and trackbacks work again. That just brings a smile back on my face. Of course, I’ll be moderating them to ensure there is no spam coming through. Does anyone know of a way to generate missed pingbacks/trackbacks, possibly by using Technorati as the intermediary? Entrecard: Advertise on Online Presence for FREE

This is the 2nd article that I’m writing about Entrecard. The first one titled, Entrecard: Does it work? tried to capture the traffic quality from Entrecard. Well…as the title mentions, this one is more about promoting Entrecard and promoting your own blog. So, if you want to Advertise on Online Presence for free, try the Entrecard route. It will only cost you a few Entrecard Credits. The amount of credits required to advertise for a day varies, but at present it stands at around 28 credits/day. That’s a small amount of credits that you need to spend to advertise here. Give it a try. PS: This promotion is also being done to get an understanding of the Entrecard system. Over the next few weeks, I’ll cover various aspects of Entrecard to determine if the real estate space it occupies on the blog is really worth giving to the widget.
