Pageviews are old thing and Unique visitors are countable. I think it is good idea to count visitors and unique visitors because simply counting page views could not impact much on the performance of the web in the online marketing world.

Juxt Consult?s study is based on a survey of 10,000 households across 31 cities while most other estimates are based on extrapolations that include assumptions regarding the number of people who share an Internet connection at work and home. The workplace is where most users still access the Internet (up 16% over the last year to 78%). Despite the growth in users, Internet penetration in India is a relatively low 9%.
