Creating Your Own Digital Product is Simple
2008-02-08 17:31:00
Throughout the prior months I have made several reports, ebooks, and even digital product scripts. These are all products that I made or outsourced. When I first started on the internet and started to make some money I started making my own products. I read that we are in the information world and everyone seeks information. I think this is true because we always want to be better than everyone else. So many forms of digital information are put out to help someone learn faster and better. On the internet I found digital products do very well, this was before I started getting into affiliate marketing. I started making my own product because it was cheap, free, with the exception of time. I made a simple ebook and sold it on Myspace, using the paypal shopping cart. It became popular on Myspace everyone wanted one! The ebook was ‘MySpace HTML Designer,’ this was a basic understanding of DIV tables and HTML. I was kind of surprise that it sold really well on the internet es...

More You Make, The More You Waste!
2008-02-06 17:22:00
Last month in January, I wasted my December earnings. Believe me I was pissed, luckily it was not everything but still I wanted to come out even at least. January was all about trying to duplicate what I did in December, PPC marketing via various means. January I tested out several PPC networks other than Adwords. I played around with Yahoo Search Marketing, Adsonar, and Clickriver. I do not just want to limit myself to Adwords since there are other popular means of PPC marketing out there. So last month while everyone is posting their last months earnings I am saying I lost money! Now I need to either read more or find out what my mistakes were and how I can improve or duplicate my December work with more tactics and strategies. It seems that the more money you make the more you spend it and you spend it much faster then when you do not have money. Finally, you have started to earn some decent income from the internet, now how do you manage that earnings and turn it into more money...

What Am I Doing to Win the RSS Competition?
2008-02-06 00:25:00
As my competitors are creating their future tactics I think I might just put mine out in the open. This is a great way for my readers to know what I am providing first hand and if they want to participate if needed. Well, I posted the competition post late last night, exactly at 12:05 am the day when this RSS competition started. This gave me a heads up prior to my competitors or my fellow bloggers. I didn’t have time to think on what prizes to span out for the month of February because I will be out on the 23-27th for Affiliate Summit West 2008, this may give my other fellow bloggers an advantage. So what am I doing that is unique from everyone’s prizes? Well I know some are providing hard cash to get ahead of the game while others are offering ad space. So far I have offered a chance to win one of the premium templates, of course anyone who wrote a post about it will have a far better chance at winning one. Blog Affiliate System One unique thing about my blog is sharin...

Re-Inventing the Chow and Shoe RSS Contest
2008-02-05 06:05:00
If you read Jeremy’s blog at Shoe money.com or John Chow at JohnChow.com, you know they had a contest with each other. The contest was about who would have the most RSS at the end of 1 month, a RSS subscription challenge. It started on October 1st and ended on the 31st, Jeremy was the one to initiate the contest with Chow. Well, today as of right now, I am participating in a similar contest with 4 other bloggers and entrepreneurs. The goal of this contest is to obviously gain more readership, but as well get our skills up on trying to gain more readers. Our reader counts are fairly in the same ball game, which makes this contest more fun and exciting. I am going against: Thomas Sinfield, SlyVisions, Internet Babel, and the University Kid. Below is a snapshot of all our reader count at February 4th, 2008. I think I need to turn myself in a cartoon soon. The main rules are a little different from John Chow and Shoemoney. This contest will be base on the amount of new readership ...

ViralURL is Virally Filling Up my Inbox!
2008-02-04 17:47:00
The other day Simon pointed me out to a website called ViralUrl. I was interested and curious on the concept on how this will work. The system is a url/link cloaking concept but with a twist, there is a bar either at the top or on the bottom with the ViralUrl button. The unique thing about this is the affiliate URL is cloaked (as if it is in a frame) but if the buyer decides not to buy the desired affiliate product they may be looking at the ViralUrl button or an advertiser in the middle. A person earns credit by either clicking on the an advertisers link, earning credits can get you more visibility and maybe even access to a bigger lists, not really sure. The really neat thing about this system is if someone clicks on ViraUrl via the toolbar and signs up, that person becomes a prospect or lead to you. This allows you to easily build your list with ease. Now if that person promotes ViralUrl or uses it cloak one of their affiliate links and someone signs up for ViralUrl, that person ...

PPC Rockstar Status: Still Learning the Strings
2008-02-02 16:37:00
The results of my PPC campaign Aero Garden for week of January 26th to February 1st. So this week was horrible I spent money for nothing. I was kind of pissed and I actually did a lot of work with this specific campaign. The payout for this is 36.00 per lead, meaning at the landing page if a user ends up entering their information and hitting submit I get paid. Too bad no one did that. There were several things that I did which is basically research and split testing ads. I tested 3 ads with 3 different headings and with the same context. But first, I emailed Mark saying how he has done so far on Saturday, when I announced I will be doing PPC Pockstar along side with him. We exchange keyword/s and said good luck to each other. Keyword Variations: Mark and I had two totally different lists. His were really geared towards Aero Garden while I used the meta tags of FreeAeroGarden.com keywords and I expanded them. The next day I also added some aero garden keywords as well, to target aer...

Small Changes Can Mean Big Things
2008-02-01 17:14:00
If you are reading this from the front page, please look at the above image. Yesterday it was a default image and now it changes on a per post. This means you will not be staring at that boring image saying “What’s New.” I became bored of that and I wanted to do something with it, rotate 10 images on what is new. I then decided what if that image changes on per post and base on topic if not use the default image. Well I decided to use the power of Wordpress to do such thing. But before we discuss how I did that I want to talk about another adjustment I did. I separated my track backs and real comments from the comment section. So you will notice track backs as full links prior to the real comments. The reason why I am doing this is because I want to keep the conversation flowing and not be interrupted by links that link to this particular post. I found a great tutorial on this on DailyBlogTips, it was very simple and easy, step by step. I am curious as to why no th...

ShowYourAdHere on OIOPublisher Direct Pro
2008-01-31 17:18:00
Like the title right! Well recently Simon was explaining to me on how he wants more users to benefit from such a powerful plugin. I have been speaking about OIOPublisher for quite sometime and I myself use it and enjoyed it. I even change some of the code a little, very little. But Simon proposed a nice idea on trying to get more people to purchase OIOpublisher, tease them. Simon created a nice little plugin for users who want to grab OIO for free but of course with some limitations. OIOPublisher’s free version only allows you to sell links and not banners or inline ads. This gives the opportunity for the skeptics out there about what OIOpublisher is about. They can easily try it and start selling links if needed, but can not sell banner ads or inline ads, video ads, etc. The pro version, which I have, automates almost everything. OIOPublisher even allows users to sell digital products, securely! This was a new feature added on which he did for JohnCow and it proves to be wort...

Trying to Network Before Affiliate Summit West 08
2008-01-31 02:10:00
I am trying to network with some people before Affiliate Summit West 2008! I have been visiting the networking section of Affiliate Summit West website, trying to talk to a couple people before the summit begins. The only problem I have is there is really no interaction. I send notes, no response - I think I must have put up an ugly picture of myself. Well again I will be there a day early, I may be attending a Saturday dinner and might bump into Paul from Uber Affiliate and Andrew Wee. This is good I get to talk to great affiliate marketers and entrepreneurs. I also asked about the pricing of the dinner, 85$ DAMN - for an affiliate marketer that is really nothing I guess. I will be there early Saturday and I already have some plans with some past friends I have not see in like 10 years! So anyways, back to trying to network. So I log in and I see no one with pictures. I try to leave messages with no replies, I am not sure if the community is alive or no one really pays attention to...

Nintendo WII Plus Glass = Accident!
2008-01-30 01:10:00
LOL - I just found this video and I want to go ahead and share it. This is a very funny video for the Nintendo WII. If you are looking to buy your kids Nintendo WII, make sure your kids are away from things that are breakable such as: glass! If you are playing baseball make sure you are out in the open, baseball is a field sport which means it is an outdoor sports. Nintendo WII, this is a valuable lesson on why not to get your kids the Nintentdo WII. But the sad part is I want a Nintendo WII it looks so entertaining. Ok enough here is the video I found - again Nintendo WII plus Glass equals CRAACK! Want to get a better chance at winning a Premium Wordpress Magazine/Newspaper style template? Affiliate of eBay through CJ.com? What Did You Sell?
2008-01-29 17:12:00
My Build a Niche Store has been doing okay this slow month. There are several sales but not at the commission or ROI that I expect, these are sad times. But I wanted to see what users were buying from my store, so I can put it in front of my viewers for faster transactions and earnings. The reporting from CJ.com does not provide what each user has bought from your BANS site. So I Googled and Googled until I found this really great tool! This tool shows you what items are being bought within your Build a Niche Store. Another great thing about this is if the user is still cookied for 7 days, the report will show you items that may not even relate to your store. Best way to determine what your users want is to study what they are buying and what they are looking for. If you do not have stats you are literally blind when it comes to your customers and yourr traffic. Just because you are earning money through your BANS does not mean to just accept it, make more money by studying your tra...

Couch Classroom Part 4: 40 Minutes in 2 Hours
2008-01-29 00:40:00
The continuation of the Couch Classroom episode 4 with Kristopher Jones! Kristopher Jones is part of PepperJam and PepperJam Network. I joined PepperJam Network and I am already making some money with it, nothing big but it is a start. But about the Couch Classroom, I was kinda of disappointed in the fact I have a 2 hour DVD but got 40 minutes of information. Kristopher Jones is a well respected person in the search marketing arena. I really like the information he provided in such a short amount of time. He was totally a different speaker than the rest. By this I mean Kristopher Jones speaks his mind and says it the way it is. He spoke in small sections that were understandable and with tough seriousness. For example “thinking positive is a prerequisite!” That is true. In order to reach your goal you want to be positive, saying it and not doing are two totally different things and mindsets as well. I was kind of disappointed though that Kristopher Jones just talked for ...

Win a Free Premium News Template
2008-01-28 15:43:00
Awhile ago I wrote about magazine/newspaper template that bloggers can use. I have great news! I have got in contact with 3 authors and they agree to give out 1 template each. This means I am giving out 3 prizes again! I would like to thank Nathan Rice/ Charity Ondriezek/ Brad Mahaffey to help make this contest available to my readers. News paper/Magazine templates are getting popular and I think 2008 might be a change in the blogging templates, asking for more intricate web designs such as newspaper styles or magazine look a likes. Again these types of templates are all about interaction with the end user. Providing more information in one section, giving them choices. Today is a great day for my readers and others who may find their blog is in need of a new template. The 3 web designers will provide 1 template a winner who really wants their exclusive premium template. Here are the templates that are up for grabs: NewsPixel Design:   CornetStone Template :   Art Cultur...

Banging Heads to become a PPC Rockstar
2008-01-26 19:46:00
Guess what I will be banging heads with Mark from 45n5 to become a PPC Rockstar ! Mark has been doing PPC marketing as a beginner and learner and he is sharing his experience with us on how he is doing, failures and success. I decided I will tag and ride side with him to become the next PPC Rockstar as well. I guess a dual band you know a Guitar Hero type thing? <- I am clueless I too will be joining him on his campaigns he chooses and see at the end of the week what my results are and what his results are. I will even share my strategies as he is doing it as well. So this week I will be promoting Aero Garden via PepperJam Networks. I will be direct linking to the landing page as Mark is doing the same. This is just like a science project I want to be as much control as there is to this PPC Rockstar because I want to track his results and my results and compare. Simply what I am doing is similar to split testing. He explains what he is spending on what networks and I explain what ...

Rich Dad Education Seminar
2008-01-25 03:10:00
Whew, just got out of a seminar, video below. It was 3 hours and it consisted of Real Estate Investing. I liked it I actually, usually I hate these seminars that try to sell you something at the end at such a huge price! But this was a reasonable price tag on the offer for the Rich Dad Academy and it was for 3 days. The classes would teach and educate a person on real estate investing and how these classes is an investment for your future. The speaker was Rodney Huffman, this would be the first time that I have heard of him. But he proved to be a really good speaker and actor. He would act out ’stupid’ situations. For example: “I don’t have money,” he would act like an “ergh heh yerp, so how much does it cost, yawn hiip” type of person. Do I make sense? He was also giving out DVDs and books by Robert Kiyosaki. Most of the evening consisted of teaser training, where the speaker would teach you great advantages on why to real estate investing ...

A Rapid Flow of Clicks from Clickriver!
2008-01-23 19:21:00
So I have been playing around with a lot of different types of advertising besides Google. I have been playing around with Yahoo! Search Marketing and I have also played around with Adsonar. Well today I am releasing a report on a service that I have been using and currently still using, which brings me good CTR and conversions. I use most of my affiliate links here as well and this program gave me the best results in December of 2007! Introducing Clickriver, a PPC marketing structure by Amazon.com. I have been using this program I think end of November or early December. I was introduced to this program by Ms. Danielle and she enjoys this system very much. After some thought and advertising on Adwords I went a head and joined the Clickriver network. Literally to my surprise I was getting high click through rates (CTR). I went to my affiliate networks and saw money, immediately. Already I was easily making money with this system. I kept this to myself because I was kind of cautious ...

Using Wordpress to Create a Niche Empire
2008-01-23 17:45:00
As you know most of my websites are powered by Wordpress . I look at Wordpress as a content management system and not a blog platform. A lot of readers tend to view Wordpress as a blog platform and not a CMS platform. I have written several topics on Wordpress, like choosing CMS platforms and a list of plugins I use for my blog. Wordpress has help me create several niche websites which most run on automatic and they are not scrapers! The sites I create with Wordpress are merely several page websites. The reason I use Wordpress over others is because its simplicity and versatile plugins. Recently, Caroline Middlebrook has contacted me on her new ebook titled “How to Develop Money-Making Niche Sites with WordPress.” I had the chance to go and look over this free ebook and found it to be really informative! There are multiple blog ebooks out there that are being sold for $27 to $97! Caroline decided to beat the market by providing a really informative ebook about Wordpress a...

Cleaning Up My Context Link - Dead Links
2008-01-22 17:10:00
Today, I was just going through one of my DB queries and I decided to clean up one of my DBs which takes specific keywords and turns them into a link of my choice. The plugin I use to do this is aLink s , which converts specific keywords into a link of my choosing. I like this specific plugin because I can insert affiliate links within my text for specific keywords, I do not have to insert URL for these repeated words. The problem that I was having is some links were dead and some reader question the multiple links within the context. I look again at my website and literally just stared at a random post, trying to find an annoyance and errors. I did not find anything annoying with the exception of the amount of links that are distributed among the post. One reader stated the link properties were not showing on the bottom bar of their browser, I purposely hid it - cloaking. I left the cloaking a lone and I then decided to filter out specific keywords and remove dead links. First, the r...

Couch Classroom Part 3: First Set Done!
2008-01-21 20:28:00
Finally the first 6 DVDs of the Secret Classroom are finally done! Wow that was a lot of information that I took in. There was only one flaw in the first DVD set and it was the audio and stage issues. Overall the first DVD set provided me a lot of information. There was so many things that I have a more better understanding, such has long tail keywords and placements of navigation. I just watched Mike Koenigs and Brad Fallon and Brad’s DVD was really informative and provide lots of lots of information on SEO, SEM, and e commerce success. His information was really well played for the 2 hour seminar Mike Koenigs, has really good information for video people. I was really not that into it as much as maybe Charles Trippy would be. Mike Koenigs gave great information on what kind of camera to buy and how to set up lighting with budget in mind. One quote that I wrote down which does make sense is “If Your Audio is Bad, the Video is Automatically Bad,” something of that ...

Say Hello to my Scarface Sponge!
2008-01-18 01:33:00
So I got an email the other day asking about my Scarface picture frame and I decided to talk about it and write something about it, why not. A reader asked me about when I got the Scarface picture that I was hanging in the back of my office, he noticed it in one of my videos and even left a comment on YouTube. So to answer the question I always had the Scarface picture but I was super lazy to hang it up. I recently hung it up sometime maybe; I want to say a month ago? Well not it is hung up and I like it right in my home office, it fits my environment. Besides just having a Scarface picture frame I also had a custom air brush shirt done. This shirt was made by one of my friends who owns an air brush shop. He does my shoes, shirts, button ups, fitted hats, etc. Anything you can write on he can design anything on it. He is a great artist who is really good with the air paint. He designed it with Sponge bob, because Spongebob is straight gangster. He designed the world and Spongebob wit...

Suck At Your Job, So You Can Be Replaced!
2008-01-17 21:05:00
If you have read my about page or about me section you know I still have a job. I work in the telecom industries routing calls and inputting data. I have a big responsibility on my shoulders, making sure the company I work for saves money but have a great call quality for our customers. The problem with my job I just have become so good at what I do, my team members are unable to find a replacement. We know that when you are put in a role and you surpass your expectations and your managers you set a new limit to whom ever tries to enter the group, well this has become so true in my situation. As you know I am trying to leave my job and start my own internet business, I have already registered another domain for my official brand and ‘company’. I have mentioned multiple times to my manager I am soon to be leaving and I can be gone any minute and anytime. I literally do not enjoy what I do, I use to enjoy what I did because it was a challenge to me, I was in a new environm...

PPC Marketing with Adsonar: Intro
2008-01-16 19:07:00
After experimenting with Yahoo Search Marketing , I went ahead and tried another system called Adsonar. I started this about the same time I started with Y!SM. I found Adsonar by simply reading CNN.com and Forbes.com. I saw these advertisements spots within articles and on main pages. I thought to myself, I wonder if I would be able to advertise on Forbes.com or CNN.com. The reason for this is because the users are all targeted. For example, if you go to the Health section of CNN.com you may see health related ads, Forbes.com with business related ads. I did notice some ads were out of placed, but that may be the marketer themselves. So what I did was just click on the advertisement link within the ads and it re-directed me to Adsonar. Below is where the ads are located on Forbes.com. As you can see these ads are targeted to the readers of Forbes.com, some ads you will notice are not even relevant to the current content or Forbes.com. The point I am getting is CNN.com, USAToday.com,...

Monetize Your Build a Niche Store
2008-01-15 16:46:00
Build a Niche Store is becoming more popular over the internet and I have seen several so far on the net. Guess what they all look a like and I just go away since I know what it is. Templates for the BANS network are very shallow and there really is no template out there dedicated for BANS. Users change color and add different logos, but the layout is still the same. Also, it is all eBay feed nothing else. I think users get the Build a Niche Store and just let it be, hoping to get a sale or commission. But there are other ways to earn from your BANS website. I notice a lot have been adding Adsense and I know there are specific issues with Adsense lately, a lot of updates on their end - which I will not discuss in this post. But Adsense is just one way of monetizing a BANS store. Build a Niche Store is just an eBay feed slapped on to a webpage. It redirects the user to ebay - so can we say your build a niche store is a landing page? I think we can. At the same time why just leave it ...

The Couch Classroom Part 2: Technical Issues
2008-01-14 17:46:00
So I really didn’t get a lot done with my projects and websites. The reason is I have been watching the DVDs from The Secret Classroom by Joel Comm. I have watched a total of 4 DVDs so far and there was a lot of information from one and one was just rushed information, which I was kind of mad. Let me tell you everyone likes to tell stories and Joel’s camera and audio team has technical difficulties. The second and third DVD had crazy audio issues, since my TV is hooked up to a nice entertainment system and I have speakers on my walls, the acoustics were just bad. For example The main audio should be coming from my front speakers, for the most part it did until about 45 minutes in it switched to my side speakers. WTF! I thought it was my entertainment system and I checked and rechecked until it switched back to the front speakers, I came to the conclusion it was not my entertainment system and it was the audio of the DVD. Also, one speaker, Jeff Walker of Product Launch F...

Have You Seen These Newspaper/Magazine Themes
2008-01-11 19:22:00
Upon writing up and introducing why I think newspaper and magazine styles will be the year for blogs is because Wordpress is so versatile. It is not just a blog platform, which for some reason everyone thinks it is. Wordpress is a great CMS platform; you can read on how I chose the best CMS platform here. The stereotype of Wordpress for blogging is absurd; I started to use an article directory cms for my first blog. All a CMS is add content and generates the page with a default template. All we are doing is adding content. Most users are so accustomed to Wordpress as a blog platform and do not understand the power it can hold. Multiple users and programmers are testing the strength of Wordpress on a day to day basis. New plugins are created on a day to day basis as well as powerful more interactive templates. With that said I have found some great new newspaper/magazine style templates. These templates are rarely used and seen, but these specific templates shows the potential of wha...

Yahoo Search Marketing: First Time Experience
2008-01-10 17:38:00
So Google Adwords seemed to be a little slow for me and I decided to open my mind to other PPC Marketing engines. Yesterday, I decided to go ahead and try Yahoo ! SM, Search Marketing. The process was fairly easy, with the exception of the deposit I had to put in. I had a coupon too and which did not go towards my deposit, WTF! The coupon was an additional ‘bank’ or fund into my account. So anyways before I signed up I did a lot of reading first, I read all the FAQs at the pre sign up section of Y!SM. It provides great information about Y!SM and answered most of my questions. Without any hesitation I decided to go ahead and try it out, I signed up. Within the first couple hours of signing up and getting familiarized with the dashboard I can tell you the dashboard and the way it is set up is very powerful and interesting, it is all Ajax (for the most part). Here is a snapshot of the main dashboard that greets you when you are logged in. The dashboard has 3 sections which ...

Web 2.0.0.8 - NewsPaper Blogs, Why?
2008-01-09 16:00:00
This year I believe web 2.0 will be strong this year. The reason is because a lot of things has happened near or towards the end of 2007. One popular theme I have realized or picked up was interactive templates or web 2.0 web designs. My template which was create by Brian Gardner is a newspaper themed template, which I added some interaction at the top and front page of my blog. Interaction with a blog is important as we slowly evolve into web 2.0 and socializing. We as users are getting lazier by the day and year. I think 2008 is that year. But websites are also evolving and even blogs. There is some controversy on blogs looking like newspapers and not the traditional ’scroll’ blog. But I personally like being organized, I’m a Virgo - can’t help it =P! We just entered a new year and we need to be better organized. The issue around organizing a blog is the ‘moving away’ of content scroll. If you go to any blog a traditional blog will have their co...

The Couch Classroom Part 1
2008-01-08 17:21:00
The other day I posted images of the Secret Classroom Dvd Set. What I will or maybe do from time to time is just generate some video about the DVD set and add my opinion about it. The set came with 12 DVDs and a workbook, also included was the Next Internet Millionaire DVD Box set. I think I may give that away as a gift or sell it on ebay, it is still in its’ original wrapping. I know I won’t finish this set in 12 days so don’t expect me to be the Next Internet Millionaire in under a month. =P So today I went ahead and created a simple video, you can hear Armond Morin in the background talking about branding. The DVD is about 2 hours long and the information is like ‘rushed’ information.
