Improve SEO - Create Robots.txt file
2007-12-05 07:53:00
How can you improve your website's crawlability and Search Engine Optimization? There are many other ways by optimizing your pages and templates to make easier for spiders to crawl and understand your website like using Robots Meta Tags but one easy and effective way is to tell bots what to index and what they should not by adding a Robots.txt file to your root folder. The robots.txt file will instruct search engine robots what pages on your blog or website should be crawled and indexed. Most websites (CMS, Wordpress, etc.) will have files and folders that are not relevant for search engines (like images or admin files) and you really don't want them to crawl them because there is no relevant content on them so creating a simple robots.txt file can actually improve your website crawlability.

2007-12-05 06:03:00
Having more comments on your blog gives your post's more unique content and thus more "love" from Search Engines. But how do you encourage readers to post more comments on your blog? One good way is to use DoFollow plugin on your blog and join ?U Comment - I Follow? campaign. U Comment I follow SEO for comments?U Comment - I Follow? campaign was created to encourage more blog comments by letting readers know that you don't use "Nofollow" tags in posted comments (which is default setting in WordPress Blog ) so your readers comments will count towards their blog, links and ultimately Google Page Rank.

2007-11-16 06:31:00
Join the forum discussion on this post How will new changes to Adsense Ads affect webmasters? Internet is buzzing about latest changes by Google AdSense in their text ads so now instead of getting paid when people click anywhere on an ad unit it will only work  when there is a click on an actual title or URL in the ad.  Smaller area of the ad is now clickable thus making clicks more targeted and most likely we’ll see lower CTR and definitely significant drop on some webmasters adsense earnings . Here’s explanation by Google from their Inside Adsense Blog: “We’re rolling out a change to our text ad formats to help reduce accidental clicks and increase value for advertisers…..This new format will match the changes we’ve implemented on Google.com to help decrease the number of accidental clicks and increase the number of ad conversions.
