Cloak Affiliate Links with this Simple Tip

Almost all online marketers use a link cloaker of some sort, whether this is a bought one (which normally requires installing a database) or through a service such as tiny URL. I have messed with a ton of them and sometimes have lazily thrown up the regular affiliate link up there when pressed for time. Link Cloaking?DIY style The “HTML” link cloaking style is by far the most popular. This is how it works. You create a page and name it whatever you want. Let’s say you are selling Nike’s. Your link could be something like “yoursite.com/Nikeshoes.html” . Then you would create a page for /Nikeshoes.html that would redirect to the site with your affiliate link attached. However, this becomes a problem as you start to accrue a ton of affiliate links (remember, each affiliate link means another separate redirect page). Well, if you are looking for a way to monetize those *Free* reports that you keep making to draw in subscribers and traffic, the chance is soon to be yours. No, it isn’t Google (although this could change in the near future as well) but Yahoo. Yahoo has apparently teamed up with Adobe to give publishers the ability to add contextual ads to PDF reports. Now, depending on what side of the fence you are sitting, this could be a good thing or a bad thing. From the side of the reader, it is just more stuff to deal with. I am going to keep this tip short and to the point. If your site is not so…”niche-e” and is more of a general type site in which you cover all sorts of topics. Like I have said before, I am not really an “adsense” guy but this tip could make me reconsider. Think about this for a second. Let’s say that you are trying to rank for a high paying keyword. You have two options….you could take your chances to get those relevant ads by keyword density of your WHOLE article and hopefully the google bot will decide that indeed the keyword you are hoping for is indeed what ad you are going to get. OR….. You could guarantee that your keyword is going to be the keyword you want…. I am just going to give you a snippet of code that you can add that could give you far more control over what ads will be shown. I have read tons and tons of ad copy that constantly proclaim to the reader that the reason they aren’t making money online is not their fault. I am amazed that most people that want to make money on the internet don’t ever really investigate Private Label Rights or Master Reseller Rights as an option. The reality is that if you are jumping from one “clickbank” product to the next trying to secure a few extra dollars, chances are you are just spinning your wheels….especially if you don’t have a list. But with MRR products, you can take a product and make 100% of the profits by selling it (which in most cases, will pay for itself in just 2-4 sales).

I actually “stumble upon” this site and was astounded that I hadn’t known about this one from the beginning. The site is NorthxEast and has an impressive PR of 5 but once again, how this didn’t fall into my cross hairs earlier amazes me. The site is run by two guys, Collis T’eed and Leo Babauta. These guys both have an impressive resume, not only running a successful internet start-up but also maintaining another blog that can be considered popular by almost anyone (both of these things are no small feat).
