How'd you get into the game?I got into hip-hop initially as a graffiti writer/breaker in Queens NYC. As time went by I got more into mc-ing listening to Kool DJ Red Alert on the radio buggin out on the music he rocked. BREAKING NEWS : No Xbox Live Spring Update

In an exclusive interview with Next Generation, Xbox Live general manager Marc Whitten announced the rather disappointing news that they will not be releasing a Spring update this year. This of course means that the rumored Spring update feature set that was leaked last week was complete bologna. Whitten says that instead of putting their resources into a Spring update, they decided to focus their energy into "building the proper infrastructure and scale for the service" (ahem, more reliability). But all is not lost in the land of updates, as Whitten confirmed Microsoft will be rolling out a change to their DRM policy in June that'll allow content owners to re-license XBLA and XBLM content to a single console. This move will make said content available when disconnected from Xbox Live .Finally, we learn that the Xbox Live Arcade will get a metaphorical Spring cleaning as Microsoft plans to remove under-performing Arcade titles. Battlefield : Bad Company Coming June 5

After all the issues that surrounded the game's closed beta, all online players will be able to try it for themselves come the beginning of June . For those who pre-ordered the game though, the demo will be available May 29, presumably via a download code. Some of the major issues in the beta were of course the much discussed purchasable weapons, as well as a few graphical issues. With the demo being seen by far more eyes than the beta, EA needs to make sure that they can show something that won't disappoint those who try it. Battlefield: Bad Company 's combined single and multiplayer demo will be live for public download on June 5.

XBLA Proves Bigger Is Badder

Talking with GamesIndustry.biz, Microsoft's Worldwide Games Portfolio Planner for Xbox Live Arcade, David Edery just confirmed that the XBLA 's file size restriction has just been increased as Microsoft does away with the old 100MB limit.As part of the "steady progress", Edery confirmed word that they've raised the XBLA's size limit to a hefty 350MB after they've been "listening to our partners, listening to our customers to try and get a feel for what's right." The raise in file size limit is, what we think overall to be a good thing for the market that will probably allow richer, deeper and more involved XBLA games. We agree with Edery, it's just "good for the ecosystem."
