Gay Men's Chorus Announces Benefit Gala To Be Held 4/14
2008-03-18 11:51:00 The New York City Gay Men's Chorus (NYCGMC) today announced their 2008 benefit gala, "With a Song in Our Heart," to be held on Monday, April 14 from 6-9:30PM at the elegant Warwick Hotel. The award-winning Host, TV/Radio Personality, Comedian and Interviewer Scott Nevins will lead the evening with his signature humor and flare. We are somewhere between San Diego and Cabo San Lucas at the moment, there are people on the Lido Deck dancing to “We R Family” and Cyndi Lauper is gearing up to show us her true colors!My first r Family Vacations Cruise was July 2006, to Alaska, and the second, last summer, to the Caribbean. Rosie and I (and subsequently her family and r family) became friends while we were on Broadway together in FIDDLER ON THE ROOF. I actually met Rosie when I was a little girl, working on the film “Now and Then,” before her talk show had started. She and Kelli invited me to perform on board after FIDDLER closed, and again last summer. They worked with Cyndi on a song called "Grab A Hold" that should be on the new album.Dragonette has released two albums and are currently touring North America & Europe. Their second album "Galore" is one of my all time favorite albums so I was very excited when they were gracious enough to give me some of their time. You can order the album here.CS: When did Dragonette form?D: Martina and I started writing songs together in 2005, after we had worked together on songs for Martina's solo record.CS: What inspired you to write the song "Grab A Hold"?
