2007-08-23 23:34:00 Although I am one of the many who think their new cd is rather disappointing, I do like their 2 previous albums, Fingers Crossed & In Case We Die; they are really energetic, party pop albums. Just what I want.(Places Like This just sounds too easy, it sounds like they recorded it the White Stripes kind of way, but without having the same abilities/talent the White Stripes have.. (I must say I like Heart It Races though))Perhaps my expectations for the new one were a bit too high, and perhaps if I give it a few more listens, the term "rubbish" might change into "complicated/experimental" and later on into "rather nice" and maybe "even better than the previous two".
