Pieter Nooten’s musical career starts as early as the late 70s. Starting out as the drummer in a local symphonic rock band, Nooten quickly changes to bass guitar and later keyboards, playing in different bands all over the place. At the height of house squatting culture and New Wave, Nooten meets Anka Wolbert and Ronny Moorings who just formed ‘Xymox’ together. During the mid-eighties Xymox records two highly acclaimed albums on 4AD. Nooten teams up with Michael Brook to record ‘Sleeps with the fishes’, also released on 4AD. Welcome the Night is The Atari s' fifth studio album and long delayed follow-up to the previous release So Long, Astoria. It was originally scheduled to be released in 2005 but the release date had been pushed back to 2007 due to the inner dissipation of the band's now former label Columbia records. BM LINX just recently released their debut album, "The Port able Geni us" consisting eleven electrifying new wave and three different remixes of "Orange" song."Understanding Orange" got my attention after listening for a while. It's some kind of deep sythesis like The Cure and as the song progresses my ears can sense a full throttle of electro popping vocals of Tony. The song as a whole is actually aggresive while the bass is supporting, the guitar riffs elevates the level that will let your feet stamp until it ends. Yours Truly, Angry Mob is the second album by English rock band Kaiser Chief s. Once again produced by Stephen Street, producer of the band's debut album Employment, Yours Truly, Angry Mob is lyrically darker and more socially aware than its precedessor, with tracks dealing with street crime, violence, fame, and the inaccuracy of tabloid articles.Kaiser Chiefs were formed by school friends Nick Hodgson, Simon Rix and Nick Baines. They were later joined by Andrew White and art school graduate and Ricky Wilson, who they spotted singing with a Rolling Stones tribute band. Originally they were named Parva. Review:Tala-arawan is the third album from the three-piece Filipino band, "Sugar free" featuring their new drummer, Kaka Quisimbing. The album consists 12 decent tracks with "Batang Bata Ka Pa" as a bonus track from the "Kami nAPO Muna - Tribute to APO Hiking Society" album.Some of us have families overseas where family sickness is natural. "Dear Kuya" is the first track from the album with straight to the point definition of how Filipinos connect with their love ones. It's a kind of song that most of Pinoys can relate to.
