Sunset Rubdown - Random Spirit Lover
2007-08-02 18:48:00
I couldn't post any music that makes you smile yesterday. No need to be in a hury, so this is the new Sunset Rubdown. As you know, the previous Shut Up I Am Dreaming (2006) was great, if you love listening one of a kind indie rock records. Believe or not this is really better than the previous record . Yep I love indie rock if they record it like in this way. But i like the music that makes your

Soft Cell - The Twelve Inch Singles
2007-07-30 20:53:00
Do you ever dream that you are dancing like a professional dancer on a dance floor? Then, you'll fall in love with Soft Cell The Twelve Inch Singles . Oh! What a fun! I'd like to wear a mask that always looks eccentric. My favorite Soft Cell cut is So which is the closing track of Non-Stop Erotic Cabaret. I know i love this song at heart, because its harmony means a lot to me, it reminds to me the
The Go! Team - Proof of Youth
2007-07-28 21:22:00
'They’ve been playing this one live for a few years now, and it's become an exuberant anthem, one that evokes feelings of bliss a la The Polyphonic Spree and mixes hi-fi music with lo-fi vocals. Plus, it got people in our office moving.' Filter says about the song. I'll call this song as summer happiness or sunrise. There are other definite cuts like amazing Titanic Vandalism, first single Grip

Calexico - Tool Box
2007-07-26 19:06:00
Calexico have certainly not been idle in the days since they have last been on the road. Aside from keeping busy with a number of collaborative projects and working on a very exciting film project, Joey and John found time to drop into Big Block studio above Wavelab to record 14 brand new instrumental tracks just in time for the upcoming European tour! It’s called Tool Box, and some tracks are

Alphaville Singles
2007-07-25 19:52:00
Named after Godard's 1959 science-fiction masterpiece and heavily influenced by '80s synth bands like Depeche Mode, Alphaville was the Munich-based trio of Marian Gold, Bernhard Lloyd and Frank Mertens. Following their all-keyboards approach longer after synth-pop was fashionable but unfortunately disbanding before artists such as Mouse On Mars made Germanic synthesizer music hip again in the

Múm - Go Go Smear The Poison Ivy
2007-07-23 18:26:00
Iceland pop experimentalists Múm are ready to release another great record Go Go Smear The Poison Ivy on the Fat Cat label on September 24, 2007. But it was leaked on the internet. The album is a change from normal múm as it uses more live instruments than electronics, and there is a different lyrical style. I really do like instumental sections which are so harmonious, musically electronic.

90's Rock Songs
2007-07-21 10:06:00
Part I Popular Rock Hits From 90s I won't give up listening to these songs even if everyone knows them. Why you have to be someone else? Why do you give up listening to songs that made commercial success? Does it make you special? I asked these questions to myself, and I only listen what i like. Everything is pop. Pop is everything. 1. R.E.M. - Losing My Religion Much was made of the meaning of

Hungarian Suicide Song: Gloomy Sunday
2007-07-20 06:12:00
"Gloomy Sunday " (from Hungaria n "Szomoru Vasarnap", is a song written by the Hungarian self-taught pianist and composer Rezso Seress in 1933. According to urban legend, it inspired hundreds of suicides. When the song was first marketed in the United States, it became known as the "Hungarian suicide song".There is no systematic substantiation for such claims, as it is not documented where any such

Live Free Or Die Hard
2007-07-17 19:58:00
This ain't the best Die Hard Serie for sure, but it's one of the best action movies of the summer. If you don't like the term 'the best', it's a nice movie you can eat popcorn with. Despite John McClane's funny jokes, it still includes the most overdone action scenes that i saw in a long time. For example, McClane learns to walk on a F-16! He also learns jumping to a long distance from the F-16.

The Best New Music
2007-07-16 20:53:00
Singles 1. Thrills - Nothing Changes Around Here I always like broken voices which show how people are different from any other living creature in the world. We're sensible! It’s a pity that some of us really don't have any emotions, even soul. They kill each other for only oil, for more land and for more money! Now that really makes us different from any animal in this world. We can also be very

A man who specializes in debunking paranormal occurrences checks into the fabled room 1408 in the Dolphin Hotel. Soon after settling in, he confronts genuine terror. With John Cusack and Samuel L. Jackson. I saw the film two days ago. Despite John Cusack's very small lips that i hate, 1408 was imaginative and something worth watching. When a The Carpenters song kept playing, i remembered

Al Green - Call Me
2007-07-12 16:59:00
An absolute best al green record. I don’t know much about soul or r&b. Believe me if subject is listening to music, you don't have to be well-educated to say what sounds good or not. For God's sake, you've ears! Green 's vocals are one of a kind on this marvellous production that released on July1973. Horns, fusions of country and soul, "You Ought to Be With Me," "Here I Am (Come and Take Me),

Boris & Merzbow - Walrus & Groon (EP)
2007-07-11 17:45:00
Walrus/Groon is a collaborative 12" EP between Merzbow (Japanese noise musician Masami Akita) and Japanese experimental doom band Boris . And The A side is a cover of "I Am the Walrus" by The Beatles, yeah baby it's the real and noisy Lennon and McCartney devotion. I always like these kind of original ideas, like covering a rock classic with great and stylish noise rock. Not only noise rock

Singles1. The Electric Soft Parade - MisunderstandingThe song has a comfy playing, hooks are almost exploding at the end of it. Alex White moves one step forward with enormous emotional range of his vocals. Endings are important and they're more memorable than the startings, this song proves this.2. The New Pornographers - Myriad HarbourYou sometimes want to listen conservative guitar pop songs. New Pornographers offer this, if you want a taste of simple beauty.3. Brett Anderson ? Back To You (EP)Brett Anderson ain't a crap record, it was nice to hear Brett's trembling voice once again. But, the artists should give their best to make a record, especially if it's a new record. Because they spend the most important thing, time! So do we. I know Brett could do better than this.4. Bright Eyes ? If The Brakeman Turns My Way5. The National - Lucky You6. Kristin Hersh - Hips And Makers
2007-07-05 19:25:00
Hersh dug into her backlog of compositions for material of an intensely personal nature that she felt wouldn't be suitable for her band on her solo debut. In stark contrast to her work with Throwing Muses, Hips and Makers (1994) is almost entirely acoustic. The album opener "Your Ghost" offers a magical acustic taste with R.E.M.'s Michael Stipe and it's the best song. And also i love the title song Hips And Makers. I love this record, what should i say more about it?Kris tin Hersh - Your Ghost (beautiful song!)Kristin Hersh - Hips And MakersYou can buy this record from 4adyou may also like:Kristin Hersh - Learn To Sing Like A Star

Ash - Twilight Of The Innocents
2007-07-03 19:36:00
I listened the new Ash record today, and so i liked it, not very much. Don't get me wrong, i always try to do my best while listening to a record. The whole record is merely okay, some nice guitar hooks, college rock, pop punk, or maybe falling of a good band! A song from this brand new record named Dark And Stormy reminds an unforgatable hit song Under the Milky Way by The Church, and i first asked myself why i liked this song? The reason is simple, it's because of that beautiful Under the Milky Way. Watch The Church -Under the Milky Way on YoutubeAsh - Dark And Stormy

Simple Minds - Don't You Forget About Me
2007-07-03 19:28:00
Propelled by the success of The Breakfast Club, the song became the band's only number-one U.S. hit (though, by all accounts, Simple Minds did not much care for it). And it still can be heard on music channels, radio stations. Don't You Forge t About Me is not that kind of hit singles, it's not one of those. Its soft play, nice lyrics, beautiful sound are absolutely memorable!Simple Minds - Don't You Forget About Me
New Music on July

Singles1. The Clash - London Calling (flashback!)Don't be surprised, unfortunately they're not coming back. But i'm not satisfied enough with the new songs below. Honestly, they are crap. Yes, you heard it right, it's very hard to find some music worth writing for these days. Not only is this hard, there is also nothing that sounds like the amazing song The Clash did before 28 years ago. Where are you hardworking artists? Or we all became the money worshippers?2. Go! Team ? Grip Like ViceWhatever you call it dance punk, electroclash or indie electronic, this song is nice!3. Feist - Somewhere Down the RoadJoining the likes of Bright Eyes and Cat Power, Leslie Feist took a break from being everywhere to cover a song by singer/songwriter Jesse Harris for the soundtrack to upcoming film The Hottest State. Nice song! Listen up the song at Pitchfork4. Natasha Bedingfield ? Soulmate5. Wombats - Backfire At The Disco6. Concretes ? Oh Boy7. Robin Thicke - Lost Without U8. Badly Drawn Boy...

Thurston Moore - Trees Outside The Academy
2007-06-30 19:17:00
Wow! Listen up Sonic Youth and Thurston Moore fans, i'm loving Trees Outside The Academy ,his first solo album since 1995 in September. Get ready for amazing guitar and violin combinations. In addition, Sonic Youth's Rather Ripped mixer John Agnello came aboard for the 12-track affair, which also features collaborations with Mascis and Charalambides' Christina Carter, who duets with Moore on "Honest James." Andrew Macgregor and noise rocker Leslie Keffer also perform on Trees Outside the Academy. This is mostly an acoustic and lyrically driven work, you'll hear nice guitar solos and instrumental noisy music from time to time, but it really is a distinctive record. I love luxury music.Thurston Moore - Frozen GtrYou may also like:Final Fantasy - He Poos CloudsPatrick Wolf - The Magic Position

Low - I Could Live in Hope
2007-06-29 17:55:00
This record reminds you beautiful view of sundown. The most people i know love sundown, because of that romantic air, orange sky, peaceful atmosphere. Not only orange sky theme makes I Could Live in Hope a great record, it's also fulfilled with stunning songwriting, magical guitar passages. It's is perfect for rainy days, sundays, late night, moreover it's one of that records that i want to mention about it to my best friends. Quite simply, no category can truly reveal the beauty and glory of Low's debut record I Could Live in Hope. You've got to let it go, you've got to listen to this angelic vocals by Alan Sparhawk and Mimi Parker.Low - Lazydon't miss out:Low - Drums and Guns 2007

Super Furry Animals - Hey Venus!
2007-06-28 18:38:00
Super Furry Animals were one of the first post-alternative bands, fusing together a number of disparate musical genres, but, i don't understand why they are trying to hide the best songs on new records. Why "Show Your Hand" should be first single, it's a boring one when there are other standout songs to make strong return! Despite its radio-friendly, repetitive lyrics, it's not a terrible single. Hey Venus ! will make it good, as you know Super Furry Animals don't have any bad records, pretty songs again shine through the whole record. Hey Venus! may seem too simple upon first listen but it seems better and deeper with each spin. The eleven-track disc, out August 27 on Rough Trade, will be trotted out with a single for the track ?Show Your Hand? arriving August 13.Super Furry Animals - Show Your Handsimilar taste:The Polyphonic Spree - Get Up And GoThirdimensionBlur - Parklife

They Might Be Giants - The Else
2007-06-27 18:51:00
With bizarre sense of humor, borrowing from the New York post-punk underground, maybe They Might Be Giants (a.k.a. John Linnell and John Flansburgh) don't invent something new in music, but, God knows that you once listen to their whole albums you won't forget their sweet music. On The Else , they're same !Giants! who play their nice music, and they're always one of the sweetest bands that i've ever listened. This record offers something very friendly like Ween, Weezer, Robyn Hitchcock or any name makes you confused with their melodies and lyrics. Yes!, friendly music reminds you that life is not easy and it's still good to live. Love The Else!Girl! Why not take out the trash? And once you get him out, tell him not to come back again! They Might Be Giants - Take Out the Trash (nice song, isn't it?;)Also Listen:Ween - Friends EPWeezer - The Blue Album
Arcade Fire & David Bowie Live EP (Live At Fashino Rocks)
2007-06-23 20:15:00
This version of Life on Mars? is absolutely worth a listen - gloomy piano melodies , Bowie's one of a kind vocal performance - Arcade Fire and David Bowie, they are both great artists. These songs are from a live performance from Radio City Music Hall, during a taping for the Fashion Rocks TV Special back in September of this year. There is no electronic remixing, no mash-ups, and no updates to these two classics and one future classic.Arcade Fire & David Bowie - Life On Mars?Other live music artists:Marianne Faithfull Live

The two new Smash ing Pump kins songs Doomsday Clock, Tarantula, and i've got a bad feeling of Zeitgeist. I haven't had problem of previous Billy Corgan and Smashing Pumpkins record. Anyway it's great to see them back (Billy Corgan, Jimmy Chamberlin). Doomsday Clock sounds better than Tarantula, hooks are great, but, isn't it so simple to be a Smashing Pumpkins song?Doomsday Clock...also check out:The Smashing Pumpkins - Mellon Collie
