With the release of their new album "The Reckoning" only two months away, Pillar has already starting gearing up. The band has completely re-vamped their MySpace, and they are also launching a contest with prizes awesome enough to singe your face off. The Showdown Take Over

Relient K Recording New Album

  Relient K have been busy recording their new album with Howard Benson. You might remeber Howard spent some time with My Chemical Romance and All American Rejects. After they wrap up the album, they will be sent out on the Nintendo Fusion Tour with Hawthorne Heights and Emery. The bands last three previous releases have all gone gold.

Anberlin frontman Steven Christian?s side project, Anchor & Braille, has posted a new demo on their MySpace.  Their much anticipated full-length album is set for release in 2007.  For those of you out there who haven?t heard Anchor & Braille yet, they have a very unique ambient/acoustic sound, not to be compared.  ?When I formed Anchor & Braille, I wanted to create music that was more along the lines of what I listen to, as opposed to the music Anberlin creates,? Blindside Fall Tour

I know you have all been on the edge of your seats in anticipation as to the fall touring plans of Swedish rockers Blind side, but it looks like you will need to save all that pent up excitement for a little while longer. Due to the overwhelming success of the band?s European tours this year, Blinds ide has decided to stay close to home for the remainder of 2006. Frontman Christian Lindskog commented that it was a hard decision to make, but felt they needed to play for the home crowd after being in America every summer since 1997. Stay on the lookout for updates later in the year.

The Age of Misprints

As we all know, Showbread?s new album ?Age of Reptiles? is out and about. What some of you may have not noticed is that there are a few errors in the layout of the album artwork. Track number seven should be listed as ?The Jesus Lizard? and track number eight should be listed as ?Centipede Sisters.? In addition, the lyrics to ?George Romero Will Be At Our Wedding? are incorrect. The second printing of the album will be corrected, but in the words of Showbread, ?Consider your copy a never to be seen again rarity.? Remember, if you buy ?Age of Reptiles? within the first week and show the receipt to the band at the show, you will be rewarded. If you can?t make it out to a show, e-mail them a picture of your receipt at showbreadmail@yahoo.com. Head on out and pick up your copy today!

It has been over a year, but Haste the Day is suiting up for their last headlining tour before heading into the studio. Tickets are currently on sale for The Purevolume Silver Bull et Tour , which kicks off August 15th. The tour will start out in Des Moines, Iowa, and end in Haste the Day?s hometown of Indianapolis, Indiana after appearing in twenty-seven states. This band not only is fortunate enough to be produced by the wonderful Aaron Sprinkle they also have him as the lead singer.  They are very talented guys from Seattle Washington,  although they are nothing like the grundge scene that rocked that area a decade ago.  With more of an inspriational indie rock style they are definately a band that needs to be heard.  Give them a listen at their Myspace , and also check out some of their tour dates there which kicks off on August 5th.

As Cites Burn no longer saying Goodbye

Weeks ago, it was reported that As Cities Burn were planning to go their separate ways. Well, plans has changed... "Thank you all so much for the emails, and conversations you have shared with us throughout the past month," the band announced late last week on their MySpace. "It is because of the overwhelmingly positive response we have received from each of you, that As Cities Burn has decided to stay together, and record another record. None of us are joining any other projects, TJ will remain in the band, and well be writing a new record this fall. To clear up any confusion, here is whats going on: We decided at the beginning of March while we were on tour with The Bled that As Cities Burn would be over at the end of August. T.J. was getting married and had decided to move on with his new life and settle down.
