2008-06-07 04:39:00 Not two days since I posted about the last free music from Creation Fest ival, the catchy song "Captives Come Home" by Run Kid Run, Creation has officially topped themselves 10 times over. As in a 10 song free sampler featuring Run Kid Run, Thousand Foot Krutch, Pillar, Fireflight, Dizmas, The Afters, Leeland, Mike Farris, and more. There are at least 3, if not 4 or 5, number one hits inside this sampler. Totally, absolutely sweet.These aren't no-name songs either. "Unbreakable", by Fireflight, "Falls Apart" by Thousand Foot Krutch, "For The Love of The Game", Pillar. Seriously cool stuff.I could probably wax eloquent about how incredible it is all night, but I really need to get to bed. If your a hip-hop or rap fan, you should certainly check Pro out. 2008-06-03 21:06:00 Free music today from I AM TERRIFIED. Yes, they spell it in all-caps. They are a post-hardcore / rock / hardcore band who just signed to Mono Vs. Stereo Records.The band has their song "May Kills The Calender" as a free download on their Purevolume profile. I actually came across the song years ago during a "Random Profile Jump" on Purevolume. It was back when the band went by Fixed Till Tuesday, way back before I was into hardcore. So, I eventually forgot about it.Then I AM TERRIFIED debuted their debut music video on TVU, which was awesome. I looked them up, and found that they were Fixed Till Tuesday, only with a new name. I AM TERRIFIED. A couple of days ago, CCMSingles featured them, so I decided it was time I featured them too. Nicol Sponberg's Infant Son Dies

2008-06-01 22:03:00 Big news today! Downhere is giving away their entire CD Wide-Eyed And Mystified for free on Musichristian.com. That's 13 tracks of great music, for free. The download will be available for the entire month of June.Don't think that just because Wide-Eyed And Mystified is free, it isn't very good. On the contrary, Jesusfreakhideout gave it 5/5. A perfect score. I haven't heard the entire thing yet, but the small part I have heard is enough to tell me that you do not want to miss it. Hey, it's worth getting just for super-catchy song "The More".Speaking of the band Downhere, I was looking them up on Wikipedia, and found a like to a collection of fan-made web games featuring the guys from Downhere. It's quite fun, in a low-budget kind of way. New Superchick Song!
2008-05-30 18:15:00 Superchick's new album Rock What You Got is coming June 24, and to celebrate Superchick is giving away the first song "Alive", on a special mini-site titled "Superchick Loves You". Fitting huh? I've updated the Superchick Spotlight to include the new song.In many ways this song is a lot like the free song Kutless released not long ago. Both songs are pretty short, and both are different from anything the band's ever done. This song in particular has a lot more electronic sounds, and sounds like Superchick has updated their own sound some. It's still a good song, just different. Including sweet songs by: Ever Stays Red. Alli Rogers. Hello Kelly (!). Sleeping At Last. And more.My favorite song on the site Hello Kelly's catchy "10 Good Reasons", in case you missed my hint. It's awesome. Quite similar musically to Eleventyseven, but unique enough to be interesting. IMHO.It looks a little like Soul-Audio went through and picked some of the best songs from smaller artists and featured them. Not only that, but they also add music occasionally. I'm not ready to give a link yet, but I can hopefully do that soon. The new version of TFCMB will have a new look, and will make it easier to find the music you want.2. The fifth and final video in the Destroying Illegal CD's series is now on YouTube! This time, I used a BB gun and blasted a CD. ShareSong .org is a website that allows anyone to upload original or public domain mp3s, chords, sheets, and lyrics, so that they can be found and enjoyed by Christians everywhere. New Videos Series
2008-05-21 03:56:00 I've begun work on a new video series, inspired by myself. Remember back in To P2P Or Not To P2P Part 2, I said if you had illegal music on CDs, you should take a blow torch to it. I also said you should film the burning and post it to YouTube.After I wrote that, I decided that that sounded like a lot of fun. So I hunted up some illegal CDs, brainstormed different ways to destroy them, and did it. The first video is now online on YouTube. It should be available on GodTube sometime tomorrow. The video features The Mutant Chickens, of "The Mutant Chickens Attack" fame. They try and eat the CD.I know, that sounds pretty silly. But there's a serious part too. You can get 52 songs absolutely free! You don't even need to give a email address.In the 52 songs, there are tracks by MxPx, Project 86, Cool Hand Luke, Esterlyn, I Am Terrified, Stavesacre, The Glorious Unseen, Means, The Echoing Green, and many talented independent artists. Since that's kind of a big deal, I'm going to spotlight them, even though I only have three songs.The story of The Myriad is one full of danger, excitement, and a rise to fame.
