Trumpdisco are two local kids from Melbourne, who came straight outta left field with this one!It's their first "real" production and it's an ace of spades (hahahahahahah)."Supermassive" starts off with some king filtering and an ethereal vocal break to get peoples attention, then flips into a heavy, fidget rave tipper. Nice cuts, cool sound, and an awesome track.These guys have taken a year off their studies and real life duties to focus on producing this year, and i'm all for it! Clubs waken up and get their 2xDJ show on tap (they've been doin it for together for 5 yrs, although they only 19), and for any label and remixer peeps, they're unsigned and ready for more.Grab the track, it's real cool, i think the sound fits in with the times really well, but still stands out as being different. This is actually a post to talk about the latest album from Flamin Hotz. PANCADÃO DO MORRO is an attempt to amend previous wrongs from the label, which was the Sou Funk EP that gave the world Baile Funk during a very dry spell. No need to dwell in the past, investigate further if you want, but their new project is helping the baile's of Sao Paolo. Im not going to post a track from the CD, but from one of the artists called Mc Gringo, who is German, living with wifey in the baile 'burbs. The Cd and Wax are available on Mad Recordings, and I am pretty sure he bites a common Funk riddem called Berimbao, which I first heard by Dj Sandrinho. So who's exploiting copyrights here??? We all got sent this track from CANYOUBARRETT (I take it you pronounce it Bare It) from Santa Barbara in California. I nearly got mugged in Santa Barbara, so I was used my street wise discretion upon listening. On the commencement of listening I realised it enforces all the comparison of a Santa Barbara mugger: Fat, based out, and ready to roll. In reading Barrett states he is new to the Dj/ remixing game, and this track has been remixed before. Ok, so due to a grindin tip, worked out how to update all my colours properly and change over to the new version of blogger.The layout and colour is slightly different than what it used to be but not that much.I've added a couple of features in the form of fun Widgets (anyone know a good place to find some more, or know of some good ones?)a: the poll - i figure i might make the odd poll for people to vote for. the current one is if anyone will be bothered doing it. Man, this remix has changed my life. I know that's a big and dramatic statement, but this is a big and dramatic song, so shut up, i just wanna trip.Don't let your A.D.D get the better of you, and skip thru this track like i know you do on the first listen of most tracks. Download this shit, close the doors, turn off the lights, turn off the screen, and just trip. I did like 4 different versions of this remix b4 i came to one that worked and i liked, and when i got going on it i completed most of the thing in like a day or 2 (which is good for me, i linger). Got the parts for "Just Can't Hold Back " and "Hold Up" (hence the vocal sample in there) from detboi ages ago, so i could do a remix for a bit of fun.Fun Fact is that the bassline was made by chopping up his original bass, then when it changes about half way thru, that's from me freakin around with Auto Tune, trying to do that T-Pain voice thing for a bit of fun. So i thought i'd see what it sounded like over the bass, then i fucked with some settings, and wella! Well kinda, i still had to bounce some sections and do some more editing to get it sounding like it did (i phased it with itself in a weird way too). Ok, i might not be able to upload any tracks, but i can hype this dude. I have no idea about who he/she/they are, but know that i'm in such desperation to get my hands on some tracks. I first came across "Bad Ding" which is my favorite track of his (i love "I'll Be Around" too) in Bones' "Inside The Barnyard" mixtape.So i searched him out on myspace, and found his page with 4 dope tracks. Only thing is that he's only been logged in once, when he joined, and that's all that can be seen.The producer if you haven't caught on yet is Sharkslayer, and he has some seriously heavy sounds. It took me a few hints to actually get onto Danish group Fagget Fairys, and i'm def glad i finally came around.They're debut EP has been released on the Palms Out Sounds imprint... You should of course know these guys through there ever fucken sick blog, which has paved the way for many others, and is always an inspiration. I'm so glad i came across these two producers. They're young (20 and 17 respectively), they're from Holland, they're into fidget, they got fresh ideas, and they've got some tracks free for signing, they be Man Eat DJ and Jizm. I found Man Eat DJ thru myspace and was well impressed with something that stood out so well among the friend requests. The dude has talent, and has produced a few slammin tracks now (check his player).
