Tine Thing Helseth (Norway)
2006-08-06 19:15:01 Friday evening, 12th of May 2006, outside Vienna Rathaus, more than 40000 people could watch and hear Tine Thing Helseth, a 18 year old girl from Norway , perform the first movement of the Haydn Tumpet Concerto. Tine was one of the finalists in the "Eurovision Young Musicians" Competition Contest. 18 young musicians from all over Europa participated, but only seven were chosen by the jury for the Final. For the first time, the Final of the competition was organized as the outdoor grand Opening Event of the prestigious Wiener Festwochen with a live audience. The event was also broacasted to most countries in Europe.The winners were:Winner - Andreas Brantelid (Sweden, cello)First runner-up - Tine Thing Helseth (Norway, trumpet)Second runner-up - Dmitry Mayboroda (Russia, piano) Tine has also participated in other competitions, both in Norway and abroad and done very well.
