Aloha!While setting up the 2005 gallery, I found this picture from Christmas time 05/06? when I had the pleasure of working with the very funny Gary Gobstopper, check him out if you see his posters out and about! He does a hillarious Club singer! and much more, but he is BLUE!If I remember correctly Gary was very lazy at rehearsing the songs we were supposed to sing as the encores to make the Christmas show that little bit extra special, the songs by the way were "Merry Christmas Everybody" by Slade, "Ant Music" Adam Ant, I know not very Xmassy!! it was more a comedy version, the Band Aid song.."Feed the world" ..I want to call it something else.. "Its Christmas Time" sounds good..and Im sure there was another but oldtimers disease is cusing a blank! Anyway I dont see old Gazza too often these days but I do know he's changed in his appearance since the photo was taken, and Im sure one or two of you will know him anyway....will have to get an after shot to add to this somehow...anyw...

Welcome to the latest blog, all for me is getting back to normal again vocal wise and there are a good few return visitors to Tenerife this past week, more on that next blog. Sat night shows at the Drop Inn and Park Paz Hotel, were both rammed and excellent, I have a big smile on my face just thinking about them, which is how it should be!!! Monday night guest spot @ Garys bar

HiMonday night, my usual night off, I made a guest spot at a new bar in the Vista Sur building, not too far from Zaras, called "Gary 's Bar" (its probably 2r's) the host and compere is the very talented and all round nice guy Gary Mac, as shows go, it was fine, but it was a very hot evening (my jacket was wringing wet inside with artistic glow) and 98% of the audience stayed on the terrace, so I took the 2% inside, outside with me, but that meant running in and out between songs to change tracks, which causes gaps if your changing songs to suit the audience before you.They need to look at the performance area, build a bit of a stage etc, maybe run a speaker outside too to cover the occasions when you need to be outside, a nearby bar drowned out my swing material, otherwise no major disasters occurred.Everything is brand spanking new in the bar, lovely and clean and should be a great success, check it out next time you are in the area, Gary is great at dealing with song requests ac...

Hello and welcome,It?s about time I made my usual Sunday blog, as you know I haven?t been to good recently, but I?m hoping finally that I?m back, I don?t want to be saying that again for another couple of years! So please keep everything crossed for me!So its all been happening! Robbie being threatened with another court case or two, if you believe the U.K press anyway, Old devil NMS wants Rob to remove the song ?The 90?s? from his forthcoming album and some relative of Rod Stewart wants credit for helping write the song ?She?s Madonna?. Plus fears over Robs health means axing the Asia leg of his tour...what?s up Rob? Try doing it six nights a week for three years?at least you always have 80,000 people who would just scream if you just shat on the stage! Hola AmigosBack for your Sunday update, well after the cameras upNdown nose and throat I have told you all I had a nasal infection. At which the ENT doc prescribed shed loads of stuff to cure it and all the don?t do?s?well thinking all is well one day and then not the next over this past week i.e great vocals one day and fcuk?n aweful the next, I decided to have a second opinion and find that my throat has a nasty infection too! Add ANTIBIOTICS to the prescribed mixture! along with some tasty powder to add to drinks. Jeeze can it get any better for a guy who makes his living singing for his supper!Ahh don?t worry I didn?t stay too depressed for long, with positive and sensible suggestions from Mag?s, Chantelle and Paul, (thanks guy?s) I decided to work out how many shows I need to do to survive and rest to get back on track?so that?s what I?m doing. I might even get some singing lessons to expand my range when the infections gone.I took Friday off, the Drop Inn isn?t putting acts on...

So you kept everything crossed, (see Sunday, September 17, 2006 Really Vocally Inspired)The gigs are back on track and in fact some songs are better than ever now, I?m enjoying the show again, now that the worry that my voice will let me down has gone, its consistent and all the work getting it back has paid off.The most enjoyable gigs at the moment are Garfield?s, Park De La Paz Hotel and the Drop Inn.
