Tarja Turunen, ex voz de Nightwish, ha comenzado a promocionar su primer album solista lanzando en un primer lugar el track "I Walk Alone", que posteamos en su oportunidad. Creo que todos estabamos un poco atemorizados de cómo sonaría, luego de haber escuchado su album navideño, Henkäys Ikuisuudesta (2006), tan alejado del sonido al que nos tenía acostumbrados. Ahora les dejo su nuevo EP I Walk Alone, que incluye 3 versiones de dicho track y 2 temas nuevos: un thrash operístico sorprendente, "Ciaran's Well" , y la bella balada "The Reign".No me esperaba demasiado, pero por ahora el album va por muy buen camino. Agua de Annique es el nuevo proyecto de Anneke van Giersbergen, luego de abandonar The Gathering. El nuevo proyecto fue anunciado el 5 de junio de 2007, el mismo día en que tanto Anneke como su ex banda anunciaban la escición y que ella permanecería hasta agosto.Y bueno, aquí está Air, el primer trabajo de esta nueva etapa de Anneke. Texturas cálidas y melodías intimistas, letras personales y melancólicas, sonidos tristes y semi acústicos, conforman los 13 tracks del album, con la sutileza vocal de Anneke y la belleza de sus melodías. Tal vez las melodías vocales tienen demasiada importancia y el disco transmite una monotonía angustiante. Tiene mucho de The Gathering, pero es algo diferente; The Gathering comenzó siendo una banda de metal, no sé si entienden a lo que me refiero. Falkenbach cobra vida en 1989. En ese año lanza su primer demo. Visiblemente se podía adivinar el camino que iban a seguir. Elementos folk, himnos y cánticos. La banda editó 7 demos hasta que Vratyas Vakyas finalmente decidió producir el primer disco oficial. La ideología plasmada en sus letras es íntegramente pagana y basada en los mitos vikingos y su cosmovisión demostrando un marcado rechazo a las creencias cristianas. Musicalmente Falkenbach es una fusión interesante de Black Metal calmado con toques Folk y ritmos que tienen más de 2000 años de antigüedad, que cobran vida en estos tiempos.El primer disco oficial de la banda se llamaría Fireblade, pero la grabación del mismo se vería dificultada por problemas de estudio y de sonido. Exodus es un grupo de thrash metal formado en 1982 en San Francisco, California, por Kirk Hammett, Tom Hunting, Paul Baloff y Gary Holt.
