Lupe Fiasco - Fighters I believe Lupe Fiasco to be a true hip hop artist. After hearing "Superstar," off his album The Cool, I knew the rest would be just as good. With Timbaland 's beats, its pretty standand dance pop music, many say similar to that of Justin Timberlake, but I would have to say its pretty catchy. It's worth a listen. Well, I took a long departure as I was trying to get some things in order, but have come to realize that however unpopular my blog may be, it is still somewhat therapeutic. So on that note, not sure how many people are checking this out, but if you like what you hear or don't, leave a comment. It's nice to hear what you all have to say. I know that Soundboy Rock came out awhile ago, but I overlooked this song. It's sort of like a modern 80s disco dance sort of song. I love it; not sure how well it will do in the States, but I think that Mutya Buena's new song, Real Girl will do. I haven't posted in awhile but people are still coming so I thought I would update. Amerie is releasing her new album and I've been listening to it over and over. I'm not really sure what it is about this album. I don't usually care too much for the Pop-py RnB, but her voice is so sultry and sweet, you just want to fall in love with her. I've always wondered why Amerie was more of a superstar and I've accredited most of it to a lack of marketing from her label. I'm posting a few songs so that you can get a feel for the album. Coming off an amazing debut album, Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not, the Arctic Monkeys follow up with another amazing album, Favourite Worst Nightmare. I've had the chance to listen to most of the songs and this album will definitely not disappoint. In fact, I might say that it is even better than their first. Currently, the AMs are touring in the UK and will make their way to the States starting with Coachella, then will return to Europe and also have dates set for Japan. Brianstorm Homepage

"Sirens" is the first single off Dizzee Rascal 's new album Maths & English, which is scheduled to be released June 4. If you have not heard of Dizzee Rascal, make sure you check out his first album, Boy In Da Corner, which had some amazing hits on it including: "Fix Up Look Sharp", "Jus' A Rascal" and "I Luv U," just to name a few. His second album, Showtime, I didn't get into as much, but still had its share of hits. Also check him out on the Basement Jaxx's "Lucky Star" from Kish Kash. Dizzee is definitely not for everyone, but if you give him a chance, you'll love what you hear. His sound is UK rap/grime/garage and even though you may think he is hard to understand, the beats are worth a listen.SirensHomepage

I love Maroon 5 and have been waiting 5 years, like the rest of us, to hear what they have in store. Their first album, Songs About Jane, had some killer songs on it, which became a bit commercialized, which is one reason that I feel 5 years may have done them some good. Their new album, It Won't Be Soon Before Long, is self-claimed to be more danceable, but still with mellow tracks. Their first single "Makes Me Wonder" fits the danceable-rock style that is making waves in America, much like Euro music has been for many years. From São Paulo, CSS, the acronym of their self-title debut album Cansei der Ser Sexy (Portuguese for Tired of Being So Sexy) have an edgy, 80s, electro-rock, don't-give-a-fuck attitude. Alejandro Sanz y Shakira - Te Lo Agradezco Pero No

Probably two of the most popular Latin artists in the world team up for this hot spanish duet. I've always liked Alejandro Sanz , but a lot of his music is too commercial and a bit too sappy for me. I think Shakira has always been underestimated in the States, some of that due to quality of her latin music far surpasses that of her English language songs. However, I am a huge fan of this song. It starts a bit slow, but when Shakira enters, the two of them together are something not to be missed. This song is a bit more down tempo than their smash hit "La Tortura," but it still has the same magic. Check it on his album El Tren De Los Momentos and check out the video below.
