Politics & Music
2007-04-26 20:09:00
It?s a timeless debate, what influence can music have on politics. Can Music ians make politicians see the error of their ways when it comes to big world changing events? Can they cure aids? Can the light shining out of Bono?s arse provide enough light to power the entire world with clean, renewable solar powered energy? Or are the more cynical amongst us right, are musicians actually using poverty and protests to make themselves bigger on the world stage?

The Shins
2007-04-23 16:23:00
After discovering this band over a year ago, I?ve sat patiently waiting and wondering how they?ve yet to take the UK by storm. A lot of bands get constantly overhyped by NME and various other music magazines and websites, and although the Shin s have been featured in most, they?ve just not made the impact I?d expect for a band of this quality. It?s really frustrating seeing the Mika?s of this world take the charts by storm with complete rubbish, when we have an absolutely brilliant band hovering around getting basically no airplay and no attention.

Kele Vs Oasis
2007-04-14 11:36:00
If you want to be noticed in today?s music scene, one sure fire way of doing so is by slagging off British super group Oasis , and Bloc Party?s lead singer Kele Okereke?s done just that!
Won't Get Fooled Again

The summer of 1985 Saw the first (and what was supposed to be the only) Full scale Charity one day musical Festival which was ?Live Aid?. It was held across multiple time zones with countless Superstar acts such as David Bowie, Led Zeppelin and Status Quo. The show was put together by one hit wonder front man Bob Geldof of ?The Boomtown Rats? who flew to fame with their iconic song ? I don?t like Mondays? and have lived off that piece of music now for over 20 years.

Klaxons - Just a Craze?
2007-04-07 10:16:00
The Klaxons have been one of 2007?s biggest success stories to date, bringing ?Nu Rave? to the masses with their 90?s Electronica influenced anthems such as Magick, Golden Skans and Atlantis To Interzone from their debut album Myths Of The Near Future.

Album Charts
2007-04-05 20:47:00
Haven?t done a review of the album charts in the last few weeks so there?s plenty of changes this time round. Unfortunately, Take That are still going strong with their absolutely rubbish, talentless album, Beautiful World which is number one this week, followed by Ray Quinn?s ?Doing It My Way? at number 2.

Bad Boys Of Rock
2007-04-05 20:47:00
For every generation there?s a rock star that lives life so dangerously we sit in awe and wonder how he?s yet to die. The drugs, the run ins with the law, the completely obscene benders, not to mention the trail of destruction they leave behind. Ozzy Osborne and Tommy Lee were infamous in the 80?s and 90?s, so who?s this decades contenders?

Kaiser Chiefs - Employment
2007-04-05 20:46:00
Well, I really don't know how to start this one off, so I'll just start with the tracks and what I think of them and how you may or may not enjoy them. Then again this will probably only be read by people addicted to the said album so I'll stay accurate.
