I stumbeled across a couple of pictures (taken after the show) and a little pre tour info from Questlove. Read Below. [Edited] ...The format of the show was similar to what Jay and I talked about last year in Vegas (I told him to do a ramped up okayplayer tour style review with him, Rell, Ush, T.I., Kanye and Mary---and just make it one big ass mixtape on tour). I guess this is baby steps towards that direction.Night one (which the first night is never the best night of a new tour) was not bad at all---for starters there were multiple dress rehearsals done at the University of Miami. How this massive ass production managed to sneak on campus under the radar without one hottie gone wild knowing is beyond me.We did 2 weeks of rehearsals---one week in LA then in true Jay style he gets rid of his band... with under a week to go.... and its up to all the kings horses and kings men to put humpty back together again. So the call was made to use the og "American Gangster" band who Puff uses...

Jay-Z and Mary J. Blige will tour this spring in what will be one of the most potent urban music bills in recent memory. The "Heart of the City " outing begins March 22 in Miami. And while a full itinerary is still coming together, the artists are confirmed to hit markets such as New Orleans, Houston, Las Vegas, Boston, Philadelphia and Los Angeles. What was your favorite Jay moment of 2007? Mines are:The release of "American Gangster", (one of the best, if not the best album of 2007) his 10th #1 album, that put him at the top of list with Elvis and The Beatles. Who else is doing that shit? *thinking...thinking...still thinking* Got Nothing. LOLSuprise appearance on 106 & Park with Kanye: The crowd went CRAZY. It was pretty much a wrap for 50 Cent that day. The Classic Albums: Reasonable Doubt special was a treat.Charlie Rose Interview: It was a really good conversation. Charlie Rose really did his research (I'm sure he always does), and I know somebody was watching thinking "that Jay-Z guy speaks very well". haha VH1 Storytellers: Life of An American GangsterInterview with Angie Martinez (August 3).
