THANKFUL THURSDAY

Last night I was in bed reflecting on how God has truly been good to me. I couldn't utter any other words but "thank you, Lord". For many months and even years that I have been suffering, I've asked God many times if He had forgotten me already. I felt more like it was hell on earth and by that I meant "hellest" of hell if there's such a word. Yes, it was that bad. I even remembered telling God that death was such a welcome breeze, please come and take me now.And now, I'm experiencing such favor and blessing I've never had any taste of before. And in spite of the mountains still in front of me, I have an unspeakable joy that I know came from God. I'm still waiting for my breakthrough to come. For some of you who have been with me in my life's journey know what I'm waiting for. I know in my heart, by faith, that my miracle is on its way. In the mean time, I'd like to savor the joy and peace God has given me. I'm really grateful. Thank you, Jesus.Delight yourself...

POST MOTHER'S DAY CELEBRATION

My family had a post Mother's Day celebration last Saturday. I was with my mom and dad, my sister, my nephews and the two nannies. We all went to the Manila Ocean Park in the morning.Part of it was still under construction and my favorite - the shark - wasn't as big as I expected it to be... yet. Oh, and I was able to touch a live starfish. It was a first. When MOP is completed, this will house the first and largest aquarium facility in the Philippines and is the most advanced ocean parks in Asia ? with an area larger than the famous Sentosa oceanarium in Singapore.After lunch, we checked in at the Diamond Hotel Philippines and spent the night at one of its Executive Suites. I have my boss to thank for that, he gave me a Gift Certificate and promised to give me 10 more once my husband comes home. Wow! The room we occupied has a breathtaking view of Manila Bay and the complimentary buffet breakfast at its Palm Cafe Restaurant was superb.On our way home, my mom asked me to go...

Walk In Tubs

I love bathing in tubs once in a while with my favorite lavender scent bubble bath and bath salt, but I only stay in it a few minutes to relax and not until my fingers are all pruned up. For some, bathing in tubs is a lifestyle, it's good news that there is now what you call walk in tubs with safety features like a door and a built in chair for those who suffer from limited mobility. Now, bathing can be fun and a therapeutic session all together.

Herbal Acne Treatment

While I was accomplishing the form I was told to fill up in my new office, one of the HR staff approached me and I guess he was trying to strike a conversation with me. He said that I have such nice flawless skin. I said thank you and smiled. He continued by saying that he used to have acne all over his face. He said it was so ugly then. I told him that I heard some herbal acne treatment that does well on treating this kind of problem skin, but of course it's still best to consult a professional before self medicating. Better safe than sorry.

Computer Rental

My nephew Andre and his mom left for Singapore last Saturday and they'd be staying there for a month to be with my brother. Looking back, it was a good business decision when my brother chose to go abroad instead of continuing his computer rental business back here. It was doing well then but his job offer in Singapore was better. I thank God for what my brother has accomplished.By the way, Andre loves Superman and was proud to pose having the same shirt color as his super hero.

I'm curious. There are a lot of people who are drug addicts - old and young people alike. Can they really stop this habit on their own or do they really need the help of others? What does a drug rehab facility do to help these people? I wonder how difficult is difficult life is for these drug dependent folks. I know they enjoy the high these drugs give but how about the pain, do they enjoy it too?May they find their freedom.

This week I thank God:For the joy and peace in my heart knowing that He is in control of everything that's happening in my life.For my new job assignment. Inflatable Boats

I've seen many but never rode any of those inflatable boats I've seen. Why? Didn't have the chance to and it's scary, but I'd love to try. I've also seen a lot of these on T.V. during rescue scenes because inflatable boats are more easily carried along. Oh, I remembered I did ride one when I was a kid, at the pool. =D

My brother's family has been in the states for three years now. Oh, by the way,Belated happy birthday, Gaby!It was her birthday last week.Anyway, I'm enjoying my work so far. I thank God for it. I was told this morning that the company is going to have an out of town seminar this May and they're thinking of sending me. Yay! Nothing's final yet but I'll keep y'all posted. By the way, I still haven't taken a picture of my plants. Nope, I haven't forgotten. I will, maybe next week.

Computer Memory

I'm pleased with my computer right now because it's a lot faster than what I had in my previous office. Three things - it's probably because there's not much files in it OR it has a much bigger computer memory or probably both. It doesn't really matter, what matters is I can work faster and much easier because of the speed of my computer. Thank God!

These houses are usually owned by Foreign Ambassadors and other rich, well known people. Imagine what God has... much more. Imagine where He lives... Imagine where we'll be staying when we get to heaven... I'm in awe.

Okay, I got my new phone the other day but I found out that it was defective. So I had to call the cell phone company that issued me the phone to replace it. They agreed only later they called back to inform me that they didn't have an available unit of the same model and asked if I wanted a different brand. I said no, not unless they'd replace it with an iPhone. Yeah, I know, I was being a bit difficult, but I was nice really. They promised to do eveything they can to find me a replacement for my N95 and would get back to me as soon as possible. I guess that's settled. Anyway, tomorrow would be a whole new day for me because I'd be in a new office, my own office space, my own room actually. There still has a lot of work to do but it's alright. Oh, did I tell you that I have four plants at my balcony? One pot is a horsetail bamboo and the three others are from the family of carnation. I don't know what they're called. My old computer in the office was almost always acting up everytime I have to do something really important. It causes my stress in the office most of the time. Imagine, I just need to open a file or print something or sometimes I need to look up some information at the Internet, oh gosh, it's like taking me years to finish what I'm doing. It eats up my time! My officemate said I have to buy additional ram for this thing. Grrr! Well, here's the good news! I no longer need to use that old stinking computer. I have a new office with a faster computer to do my job. God really knows what I need and gives me even more than I expect.

This week I thank God:For a wonderful friend who went with me to the grocery and paid for everything I bought. Isn't God awesome?!For giving me a chance to work in one of the government offices here and at the same time still receive an allowance monthly from my current job. That doesn't happen often from where I live. Normally you work eight hours a day for only one company. Now, I'm going to have two! That's what I call favor! Thank you, Lord!For a new phone. A Nokia N95... for free! God is so amazing! Imagine, I got a text message from one of the major cell phone company here and the lady told me that they're giving me a new phone as a reward.For the pastor friend of my brother who has been going to my mom and dad's house to share to my parents the word of God. Moving Boxes

When I was a child, every time my family would move to a different city, my mom would pack all our stuff neatly in moving boxes. She'd even label them all. My mom is good at packing things, so is my sister. I guess I am too but not as good as them. I think boxes are great, but I prefer plastic crates. I like it better when I see my stuff inside.

Yesterday's message at church spoke to my heart and I'm sure to a lot of others too. As Christians, we don't always understand everything that's happening in our lives. And we always try to find some explanations to it instead of just trusting God . I was guilty of that and I guess I still do sometimes. I'll give you one personal example. Both my husband and I are Christians and I'm sure that it was God who brought us together. If so, why then are we in this pit? Why am I experiencing such pain? Did I do something really bad that God is punishing me now? Or is my husband in some sort of a curse because of his family? The answer is NO!Pastor Rico said this... "It's not the REASON but the PURPOSE." It's not because God is mad at us that we're going through this. That's not the reason. New York Moving Company

For some of you, you probably already know how much I hate moving. It's just so stressful. I tend to lose some of my stuff along the way, some of my things get scratched, etc. After moving in, I get stressed again unpacking my stuff and arranging them. ohhh! All my life, I only once experienced moving with the help of movers. Normally here it's just with the assistance of family and friends. One thing is a must though, you should hire movers that you trust! My youngest brother, when he and his family moves to their new house, he mentioned getting the New York Moving Company . I don't know which one and I'm not familiar with that but I'm sure my brother knows better. =D

Lighting Fixtures

My broker and I had a chit chat last week. My contract is expiring next month and she wanted to show me a different unit just in case I want to move to a bigger one. I'm also considering that idea but then God specifically told me to stay put. Anyway, did I tell you that Jen moved to a new unit last week? Well, hers is bigger than where I'm staying right now but I have far better lighting fixtures and wall paint than hers. She said so herself. My unit was new when I moved in. I think with her unit she's the fourth or fifth or even sixth tenant to have lived there. It didn't matter to her much but for me it does. God knows me very well to have lead me to get this unit. Isn't He amazing?

I don't know what HDMI cables are until I heard it from my officemate who has a home theater set up in his place. My brother-in-law is also into these things. Oh, you should see his set up. I guess even if we do have one at home, I wouldn't know these things because first, I'm not really a techie person. Second, I'm not interested on tinkering any of these stuff. I'm sure my husband would dig this too because he would love to set up a home theater himself. Well, I don't see why not. *grin*

Weight Loss Pills

I have never tried taking diet pills ever in my life. Why? Well, I'm already skinny as my friends would say and if I take those pills I might look like a walking skeleton. Haha! My friend Jen has already taken what she thought were the best weight loss pills religiously, but she still battles some weight problems until now. I really think food should be taken in moderation coupled with exercise. I am now conscious on what I eat because I've realized that losing some pounds is far more difficult now than gaining some. I guess that comes with age. =(

I've been hearing this book, A New Earth : Awakening to Your Life's Purpose, being mentioned every time I watch Oprah. I haven't read the book yet but one thing is for sure, if this book will in any way contradict the Bible or exalt "self" instead of God, I think it's not going to even be on my list of must reads. I've read on one blog - Reformation Nation this - New Age guru Oprah Winfrey pushing New Age author Eckhart Tolle's book "A New Earth". Oh-oh, I think red lights are flashing and it's telling me to... dump it?

DIVINE DELAYS

I got an email last month that talks about divine delays. I used to be very impatient. I hate waiting! Patience is one of those areas in my life which is still under construction. God taught me and still is teaching me this virtue. He allowed some things to happen in my life even if He knew very well that there would be great resistance on my part. I've learned my lessons and I continue to learn because God's not finished with me yet.Are you like me waiting for God's promises to come to pass?
