DAY 1
2008-01-09 08:38:00
We're on our way to meet up a client in Baguio so we're going out of town in a few hours. It's Day 1 of our fasting and I'm pretty much aware how the enemy tries to ruin things for me since last night. Anyway, we still have an hour or so before we leave and I want to spend it with the Lord. I guess it's bye-bye for today. God bless!

Ellipticals
2008-01-09 07:43:00
One thing I never really have the discipline to do on a regular basis is exercise. So what I do is, instead of using the elevator, I use the stairs. Instead of working out, I go swimming. In the morning, I do my routine walking. At night, while watching TV, I do a bit of stretching on the bed. So basically, it's still like using treadmills or ellipticals, it's still like going to the gym! After such "workout," I love having a full body massage. *grin*(Inset photo: ProForm StrideSelect? 825 Elliptical)
PRAYER AND FASTING
2008-01-08 10:52:00
I finished the book This Present Darkness by Peretti last night. Hit the sack at around 4 a.m. I know this sounds crazy but I just couldn't stop reading until I finished the remaining pages. Anyway, I enjoyed the book a lot.Tomorrow is the start of our annual seven-day prayer and fasting. This is my first time to participate in this annual event in our church. I'm excited to what God is going to reveal to me. I'm also believing God for my breakthroughs. So last night, my friend and I made a list of our faith goals for 2008. Then we put it in a small box and tied it with a green ribbon. We prayed over it then I put it on top of my cabinet. It'll be opened on January 7, 2009 to see how many of our faith goals God answered. Sort of like a time capsule. As a spiritual family, we begin each new year with seven days of prayer and fasting. It is our way of humbling ourselves before God and consecrating to Him the upcoming year. It is also the time when we corporately come int...

Camcorder Batteries
2008-01-07 07:29:00
I remember when my sister gave birth to her and her hubby's first child, everybody's really excited because on our side of the family, Michael is my parent's first grandchild, my first nephew. On my BIL's side of the family, Michael is the first child of their youngest son. My BIL was taking video of the entire birthing procedure. Good thing he brought extra camcorder batteries with him. I don't think I like that for myself, I mean, it grosses me out! Pictures are fine, but leave out the gory details please. Hehe...

RANDOM THOUGHTS
2008-01-04 05:06:00
Happy New Year!!! I read my email real fast last December 31 just before midnight. I saw a message from Nise' and it says I won a book by Sharon Dunn, Death of a Garage Sale Newbie on her book giveaway. Yey!!! Thank you, Nise'. I'm really excited to read this next.I'm currently reading This Present Darkness by Frank E. Peritti. It offers a fascinating glimpse into the unseen world of spiritual warfare and the power of prayer.Yeah, I'm into books again.Anyway, I want to share with you a story I heard shared by Joyce Meyer that tells about what most Christians go through in life. It was like this story was written for me. I'm sure you can also relate. Very inspiring. Here goes:The Tea CupThere was a couple who took a trip to England to shop in a beautiful antique store to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary. They both liked antiques and pottery, and especially teacups. Spotting an exceptional cup, they asked ?May we see that? We?ve never seen a cup quite so beautifu...

Real Estate. Not my favorite subject if you'd ask me. Many have tried to educate me regarding this but I remained unresponsive. What I know about this subject is based on what I read and only that. No advance study or anything like that. Some say it pays good and I believe so but I couldn't really get myself to focus on this because it bores me to death. Oh boy, some things never change.
Cufflinks
2008-01-02 06:52:00
I've always wondered why on earth one would wear cufflinks. Did they lose their shirt's buttons? Silly me, cufflinks act as a fastener to replace the role of a button! And there are unlimited designs for cufflinks too which varies in shapes, sizes, metals, materials, and designs. It was the man who traditionally wore cuff links. But now, women have begun to catch on the cufflink frenzy too with the change in fashion and trends. Also, a perfect gift idea for any occasion.

Bad Credit Offers
2007-12-28 08:29:00
I remember I once messed up my credit line because of my disorganized finances. I learned my lessons since. I never asked my parents for help because I knew what I'll get from them - a big fat scolding everyday of my entire life. I was still living with my parents then. I did a financial "face lift"! It was a tremendous sacrifice on my part not to purchase a single thing for months! And I did it! Different people have different approach on how to revamp their finances. Well for some people with really bad credit, they still need to live and they need another chance to rebuild their credit rating. Bad Credit Offers provide their customers with the resources they need to help them find the best credit offer that will equip them despite a bad credit history. Everybody deserves a second chance.

A WORD FROM THE MASTER
2007-12-27 06:02:00
Hi everyone! Hope you all had a Merry Christmas. It's back to work for me. I don't really mind. I know there's a lot of things for me to look forward to. The past few days, I spent time with God at home reading His word and meditating on it. I spent my time praying and fasting. God did answer some of my questions and revealed to me an important truth that I need to pray for.I called up a friend, Baebs, which I usually do every now and then. She enthusiastically told me that God has spoken to her again about what she has been praying for (that's us) during her quiet time. She quoted a verse in the Bible."Therefore say to them, 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: None of my words will be delayed any longer; whatever I say will be fulfilled, declares the Sovereign LORD.' " Ezekiel 12:28I was so excited to get a word from God again. And also, for the past days, these words have been like a broken record, beaming in my life's "TV screen," -- DON'T GIVE UP NOW!God has a...

Hotel Reservations
2007-12-26 10:53:00
I've came across this interesting website while I was endlessly surfing the net about hotel reservations. What caught my attention in this particular site was the "save up to 70% off" promotional offer. Honestly, for discount suckers like me, hehe, this is quite an effective tool to keep me from looking any further. They have very competitive price too. I specifically like the way the website was designed because it looks inviting and doesn't look too busy. Check it out yourself.

Air Tools
2007-12-26 10:08:00
What I know about air tools is that it usually lasts longer and you can complete many projects, hobbies, crafts and a lot more using these than with traditional tools. And also, air tools have no fire hazard and no electric shock potential compared to electric tools. One of the best brand I would presume is the Ingersoll Rand air tools. What do you think?

My Green Luggage
2007-12-26 07:35:00
I have one luggage at home that has travelled to different places more than its owner. Haha! It has been borrowed from me several times that's why. I had it in 1996. I travelled quite a bit that time. It is functional but not at all elaborate. It's not really my favorite but it does exactly the reason why I bought it and I'm quite pleased with it. This luggage not only carries the stuff I pack it with but also beautiful memories. Memories that I intend to keep for life.

12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS EVE
2007-12-19 11:44:00
I was watching TV the other night, but nothing in particular though. I stopped at the Hallmark channel and it was then showing the movie 12 Days of Christmas Eve starring Steven Weber and Molly Shannon. I'm not sure if you're familiar with the movie but I did learn something from this in the end. There was a line there that goes, "It's not the destination, Calvin (played by Weber), it's the journey. God is into details." When I heard that, it just made me stop and think. God already gave me His promises about the concerns I have in life. That's my destination and whatever God said is considered done. God is never a liar. His promises to you and me will ALL come to pass. Now the journey to get to my destination is up to me. I can either trust God or be miserable until I get there, the choice is mine. In the movie, this was where Calvin failed again and again until he finally got the point.Lastly, in the movie where Calvin finally gave in to doing what is "right", it turn...

Fiber Cable
2007-12-18 05:18:00
I have been in the Telecom business for seven years now and fiber cable is not new to me. Although our line of business has always been wireless, fiber is still an essential supporting infrastructure for wireless, since the latter requires backhaul to higher tier networks in any case. There are the advantages and disadvantages whether you go for fiber of wireless. Hopefully, you can make decisions that focus on the appropriateness of a technology for what you want to accomplish since at the end of the day, that's what really matters.

External Hard Drive
2007-12-17 07:34:00
An external hard drive is an essential equipment in our office for backing up files and for storing information like sensitive documents, disk images and even a backup of the contents of our main internal hard drive. They can all be kept securely on this piece of equipment. One more thing, an external hard drive is portable and operates on a plug-and-play basis. There are limitless reasons to use an external hard drive. They are that useful not just to us but other offices as well, I'm sure.(Inset photo: Iomega 500GB Limited Edition Desktop HD, Hi Speed USB 2.0 7200 RPM)

Gold
2007-12-14 10:54:00
Do you know anyone who just loves anything gold? I have friends who do and although I'm not so much into jewelry, I do agree that these things are good investments. But a lot of people find collecting gold coins as not only a considerably interesting hobby but a fairly profitable one as well! Over time, their collection will increase in value and parts of it can be sold if you decide to. This way, you will have additional income for yourself later in life. I've always been fascinated with gold bars. For many years, it has held its value. Some say that gold bars are probably one of the best buys today. Investing in gold has been a foundation in many investment portfolios. To buy bars of gold can be a lot of fun and there is nothing quite so astonishing as holding a bar of gold in your hand.Yeah, why not, I'd love that!8986372693568548"; google_ad_width = 336; google_ad_height = 280; google_ad_format = "336x280_as"; google_ad_type = "text_image"; //2007-02-13: Buy Silver goo...

Real Estate Franchise
2007-12-13 03:50:00
I have mentioned in the past that I did try getting involved with the real estate business, but as it turned out, it didn't quite work out for me. Maybe because I really didn't put my 100% in it. I just felt like it wasn't my cup of tea. But for some folks, they even get their hands into the real estate franchise and succeed. Some people have the knack for this. And, good for them!

A POEM FOR ME...
2007-12-11 08:52:00
A dear friend of mine, Yvette, made a poem especially for me. Thanks, Yvette!Wipe away the tears in your eyes,There is hope in the deep blue skies. The eyes of God are here to see,To lead your life in victory. You cry, O God, I submit to you,Everything that I must do.In pain Your mercy for me abounds,Your love is great as I have found.Yes, wipe away those many tears,God is in control of our living years. His promises holds forevermore,A road that leads to an open door. She wrote me this poem and sent it to me last Saturday. We were together the night I walked out of our Christmas party. I was so sad...

HE DID PROVIDE!
2007-12-11 05:47:00
My weekend turned out to be a living nightmare. I completely lost my focus. Twice I walked out of a gathering on two separate occasions when it should have been two of the most joyous events this year. I was completely disoriented seeing all the mountains of problems flashed right before my eyes. I went home so discouraged and cried most of the night. I was telling God how frustrated I was.I was tired of my situation and anxious about one of my bills due for payment the following day. I still didn't have the funds to pay for it. God said I'm not going to borrow money from anyone! I was short from kicking and screaming but I was reciting over and over again, "But God, you promised!!!" "The LORD will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none." Deuteronomy 28:12I woke up at around three in the morning and I was able to read a text messag...

The Flower Exchange
2007-12-10 10:52:00
I love flowers! They're simply gorgeous. I'd normally go to Dangwa, one of the famous market of wholesale flowers in my country, to buy flowers. I prefer Ecuadorian Roses, Orchids, Tulips and White Calla Lilies. They look so pretty! I've always been fascinated with flower arrangement. I've tried before but I guess I have to rediscover my artistic side. Haha!Anyway, speaking of flowers, try to look up The Flower Exchange website. They deliver fresh flowers straight from their farms in Holland, Colombia, Ecuador, Thailand, Costa Rica and other countries.

Talkswitch
2007-12-10 06:22:00
An IP-PBX allows us to place calls using a network instead of standard telephone infrastructure. Telephones can be connected to the IP-PBX via the network and calls can be routed via the network instead of the standard public switched telephone network. Phone systems today must be able to support Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) communications as well as traditional protocols. With an IP-PBX phone system, it allows us to traffic calls between branches of our businesses, especially those with more than one location, through the Internet. This saves us money on long distance calls because it's as simple as dialing an extension to an office next door. It also reduces our infrastructure costs.TalkSwitch is an all-in-one PBX telephone system for small businesses. It helps us save money and keeps us connected everywhere. Talkswitch is easy to set up. We don't need to pay a technician to tweak our call handling. It saves us not just money but time as well. Talkswitch gives us fr...

A Home Away From Home 6
2007-12-07 08:32:00
Still in Europe, we now go to Germany! Grüß dich!My friend Shyla was married to a German guy and is now based in Germany with her kids. The last time I saw her was more than 10 years ago. I wonder how she is now. Anyway, there are several things I'd like to see in this country like the fairytale castles (the Marksburg Castle, inset photo right), their natural landscapes and of course the remaining stretch of the famous Berlin wall near Ostbahnhof in Friedrichshain. We can stay in hotels in Berlin while we explore this bewitching place.Next stop is in Vienna, Austria! No worries on where we're suppose to settle, there are a number of hotels in Vienna listed on Cheaper than Hotels that we can choose from.Vienna is famous for this Opera House (inset photo left). Take your time to explore the first district (Innere Stadt) — all of it, on foot. The number of museums in Vienna is near endless. One of it is Museum of Applied Arts (Museum für angewandte Kunst, MAK). This beaut...

ADVENTURE WITH SIS 3
2007-12-07 06:20:00
My cousin Rina, her husband Mike, their son Kian, Aunt Rosalina, my sis and I went to Tuen Mun Plaza for the grand opening of the Toys R Us and of couse they bought more toys! Outside the store I met with Baebs (inset photo, right), my friend and church mate from Manila, who happened to be in Hong Kong too that time. We just had some pictures taken and shortly after, she had to go back to Ma Wan to attend to her patients. Oh, by the way, Baebs' a dentist. My relatives and I had lunch in one of the famous street restaurants that serves one of the best goose dish in town. Yummy! Then we went back to the condo to pack our stuff for our flight back to Manila. I thank God for this wonderful blessing. I also had a chance to share God's Word to my Aunt and cousin. That's a seed I planted in them that I'm praying will grow and they too will see and experience God's glory and love in their lives. Adventure with sis 2Adventure with sis 1
