Cerebral Palsy Therapy
2008-02-13 11:19:00
I was told by my doctor that she once had a patient who was pregnant that time and had Cerebral Palsy. My doctor said her patient had Cerebral Palsy Therapy but eventually fully recovered when she gave birth. I was instructed not to dare go to crowded and constricted places to refrain from catching the illness when I was pregnant. Of course not all pregnant women do, but just a safety precaution she warned us not to. Scary.

Online Gaming
2008-02-08 08:06:00
My brother used to have a computer shop and most people that went there did so for gamings. I'm not really the type of person who'd be interested on those sort of games because I find it too loud. The graphics are really good though. But one thing I knew my brother did, which I know for sure, was that he restricted the access of his customers to online casino and the likes. Something that I commended him for. I mean, we know for a fact that one can easily have access to these sites but my brother didn't want to be an "accessory to the crime" so to speak. We grew up with the idea that the word "casino" is associated with gambling. And we were taught not to gamble because it's not right. So we sort of like added one plus one. Until now, we still have the same thinking when it comes to casino. And I guess that's also what I'm going to pass on to my children in the future.

YOUR WILL BE DONE
2008-01-28 11:54:00
Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk withoutmoney and without cost." Isaiah 55:1For the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say." Luke 12:12Two verses God gave me last Thursday during my one day fast. I was asking God for three things. He answered two. The other one I'm putting on hold until God speaks to me about it. Aside from the three things I was asking God for, God impressed in my heart about something else. I'm not quite sure how to do this yet. It's about helping young couples whose marriage are hurting. I said, "God, how am I gonna do this? I'm having problems with my own marriage." I told my small group leader about it and she got so excited. She said, "Yes! It shall come to pass!" God said that His words will not go back to Him empty but will accomplish the purpose for which they were sent. Somehow, at the back of my mind, I'm thinking that maybe He's letting me a...

Maternity Jeans
2008-01-28 08:48:00
Isn't it hip for preggys to be wearing maternity jeans? That is so cool! Pregnancy for me is so sexy. Can't wait to experience this gift from God. Gone are those days when pregnant women are limited to tent dresses only. Nowadays, moms-to-be can be as hip as when they were single. Can't wait to wear all those cute outfits soon. How lovely!

He Loves Cars
2008-01-28 07:10:00
I'm not really fond of cars. I mean as long as it serves its purpose, I'm perfectly okay with it. Not with my husband though. He loves cars and loves to accessorize it. He's very particular with details when it comes to cars. I'm not complaining because somehow I learned a lot from him. Whenever there's a car show in town, he makes it a point to be there to see what's the latest. In time, I learned to appreciate his love for cars. Dodge Charger, one of the few types that don't tickle my fancy, has always given me the impression of a villain's car. Of course, not with my hubby. He would love to tinker with it and a Dodge Charger accessory will not be far at hand... for sure.

Beer Pong Tables
2008-01-21 09:00:00
Honestly, I've never heard of beer pong tables until a few minutes ago when I came across a website that talks about it. It's actually a beer drinking game in which players throw a ping pong ball across a table with the intent of landing the ball in one of several cups of beer on the other end. When a ball lands in a cup, the defending team must consume that cup's beer. In my opinion, this game shouldn't be played at all even by adults because this promotes drinking. It's fun I'm sure but too much drinking of beer isn't a good idea. And it opens the door for temptation. Worst is if this game would be played by high school students and even younger. Well, that is just my opinion. I go for clean and healthy living... God's way.

Danze Faucets
2008-01-21 08:35:00
Last weekend I took a used toothbrush to clean our bathroom sink but was having a hard time removing water stains from the faucet. It was the most used pair of fixtures in our home. I tried hand soap and detergent soap and still the water stains wouldn't come off. I have yet to try baking soda which I heard would work. Anyway, I came across several gorgeous selection of bathroom and kitchen Danze faucets from faucet.com. They're perfect for your home and the dream house we have in mind.

Advantage Insurance
2008-01-18 07:30:00
I met a guy from our building who offers insurance to any potential client like, you guessed it right, me! His offer in a nutshell was interesting. Since I didn't have the spare time to discuss business with him that morning, I just asked him to prepare insurance quotes and fax it to me so I can review them. I told my officemates about this in passing and thought that it would be a great idea to have it included in our employee benefit package. Of course, I do know of the insurance plans pros and cons since I got one for myself several years ago and it was explained to me quite well. Maybe next week, I'll meet with Soc - the insurance guy, and discuss about his proposal in details. We'll see what happens.

Technomarine Watch
2008-01-17 08:04:00
It is usually hard to find men gifts. I mean, the choices are limited and most of which are expensive. Good thing my husband is not someone who's so hard to please. If I have the extra money to buy him a really nice gift, I know exactly what he likes. A Technomarine watch is not a bad idea since my husband loves watches. We used to talk about buying identical his and hers watches. I find it really cute. We'd still do that once everything is cleared. You know what I mean. *grin*

DAY 7 - BREAKTHROUGH FASTING
2008-01-16 08:54:00
Yesterday was our last day of fasting. We went to church to worship the Lord and prayed for our heart's desires. It felt good that we all made it! Singing worship songs was so heartfelt, it almost felt like I was singing in front of the gate of heaven. I was extremely moved during our breakthrough prayer. I guess everyone in the room were. It was so powerful.During my fast I was lead to so many promises of God, but I'll share two verses which I hope will encourage you too as much as it did me.Then the LORD said to Joshua, "See, I have delivered Jericho into your hands, along with its king and its fighting men." Joshua 6:2...For I have delivered into your hands the king of Ai, his people, his city and his land." Joshua 8:1God has said to Joshua the words "I have delivered." Past tense. Done. Even before the actual handing over of Jericho and Ai happened. When Joshua obeyed, he received what the Lord had promised him.We have to obey what the Lord's telling us to do.An...

Credit Cards
2008-01-16 07:26:00
I'm one of those people who rarely bring cash if not too little when I go shopping. It's more convenient for me to get my plastic swiped. That is why I normally go to establishments which do credit card accepting, those with Visa & Mastercard payment solutions. I have never really bought anything yet online although I tried planting seeds to different Christian ministries which were accepting credit cards on website. I think, these plastics do me more good now than bad, except when I abused it during the early years. I learned my lessons since then.

Individual Health Insurance
2008-01-14 08:20:00
The companies I have worked with have given us individual health insurance as part of our package. This has always been beneficial for all of us especially for me. I think health insurance is very important to every individual and should always be part of the benefits given by any company to its employees. It gives an individual the freedom to see a doctor for a regular check up without worrying too much about the bill one has to pay later. I personally think that for that reason alone, it's already valuable in itself.

Day 2
2008-01-11 09:37:00
I got all sorts of mocking from the pit of hell. Rude comments were thrown at me. "Are you crazy? Why do you have to fast?""What have you done that you have to fast?" "Is that a religion thing? Crazy! I'll never join your religion if that's the case" "Is that about religion? Forget it! Grab a plate and eat!" "LET'S GO EAT!!!" (All eyes were on me while they chant those words)I just smiled at them and didn't say a word. I figured that it's useless to argue with these people anyway. My heart was breaking. I just said, "Lord, help me. I don't like to take offense. They don't know what they're doing."I knew something like this was going to happen. But God kept me strong. We're back in Manila. I survived Day 2... only because of God's grace.

DAY 1
2008-01-09 08:38:00
We're on our way to meet up a client in Baguio so we're going out of town in a few hours. It's Day 1 of our fasting and I'm pretty much aware how the enemy tries to ruin things for me since last night. Anyway, we still have an hour or so before we leave and I want to spend it with the Lord. I guess it's bye-bye for today. God bless!

Ellipticals
2008-01-09 07:43:00
One thing I never really have the discipline to do on a regular basis is exercise. So what I do is, instead of using the elevator, I use the stairs. Instead of working out, I go swimming. In the morning, I do my routine walking. At night, while watching TV, I do a bit of stretching on the bed. So basically, it's still like using treadmills or ellipticals, it's still like going to the gym! After such "workout," I love having a full body massage. *grin*(Inset photo: ProForm StrideSelect? 825 Elliptical)
PRAYER AND FASTING
2008-01-08 10:52:00
I finished the book This Present Darkness by Peretti last night. Hit the sack at around 4 a.m. I know this sounds crazy but I just couldn't stop reading until I finished the remaining pages. Anyway, I enjoyed the book a lot.Tomorrow is the start of our annual seven-day prayer and fasting. This is my first time to participate in this annual event in our church. I'm excited to what God is going to reveal to me. I'm also believing God for my breakthroughs. So last night, my friend and I made a list of our faith goals for 2008. Then we put it in a small box and tied it with a green ribbon. We prayed over it then I put it on top of my cabinet. It'll be opened on January 7, 2009 to see how many of our faith goals God answered. Sort of like a time capsule. As a spiritual family, we begin each new year with seven days of prayer and fasting. It is our way of humbling ourselves before God and consecrating to Him the upcoming year. It is also the time when we corporately come int...

I remember when my sister gave birth to her and her hubby's first child, everybody's really excited because on our side of the family, Michael is my parent's first grandchild, my first nephew. On my BIL's side of the family, Michael is the first child of their youngest son. My BIL was taking video of the entire birthing procedure. Good thing he brought extra camcorder batteries with him. I don't think I like that for myself, I mean, it grosses me out! Pictures are fine, but leave out the gory details please. Hehe...

RANDOM THOUGHTS
2008-01-04 05:06:00
Happy New Year!!! I read my email real fast last December 31 just before midnight. I saw a message from Nise' and it says I won a book by Sharon Dunn, Death of a Garage Sale Newbie on her book giveaway. Yey!!! Thank you, Nise'. I'm really excited to read this next.I'm currently reading This Present Darkness by Frank E. Peritti. It offers a fascinating glimpse into the unseen world of spiritual warfare and the power of prayer.Yeah, I'm into books again.Anyway, I want to share with you a story I heard shared by Joyce Meyer that tells about what most Christians go through in life. It was like this story was written for me. I'm sure you can also relate. Very inspiring. Here goes:The Tea CupThere was a couple who took a trip to England to shop in a beautiful antique store to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary. They both liked antiques and pottery, and especially teacups. Spotting an exceptional cup, they asked ?May we see that? We?ve never seen a cup quite so beautifu...

Real Estate. Not my favorite subject if you'd ask me. Many have tried to educate me regarding this but I remained unresponsive. What I know about this subject is based on what I read and only that. No advance study or anything like that. Some say it pays good and I believe so but I couldn't really get myself to focus on this because it bores me to death. Oh boy, some things never change.
Cufflinks
2008-01-02 06:52:00
I've always wondered why on earth one would wear cufflinks. Did they lose their shirt's buttons? Silly me, cufflinks act as a fastener to replace the role of a button! And there are unlimited designs for cufflinks too which varies in shapes, sizes, metals, materials, and designs. It was the man who traditionally wore cuff links. But now, women have begun to catch on the cufflink frenzy too with the change in fashion and trends. Also, a perfect gift idea for any occasion.
