SWAMPED WITH WORK
2007-12-06 10:02:00
I'd like to apologize to all my friends in blogsphere. I'm really swamped with work after I got back from Hong Kong. We moved to a different office and we're currently setting it up. After office I'm teaching English to two kiddos ages 8 and 10 for three hours everyday. By the time I'm done, I'm already dead tired. I will try to visit a few blogs every time I get the chance to. Please forgive me. I've already sent out my gift to Barb, my Christmas Exchange partner, this afternoon. Barb, I really hope you'd like it. I'm crossing my fingers.Anyway, I gotta go. This computer I'm using is scheduled for reformatting in 10 minutes. Please know that you are in my prayers and I love y'all! God bless you! (((HUGS)))

Second Act

I'm not fund of buying refurbished televisions but for some people they do and I have a friend who did. I don't have anything against that whatsoever, it's just that I'm not confident with it probably because most of them from where I am comes with no warranty and it's scary. It'll probably be a different story if they had. But for those who do buy refurbished televisions especially HDTVs, I've seen the Second Act website and you might want to check it out too. You might be able to get a fairly good deal in different well known brands like Pioneer, Panasonic, Sony, etc. What's good is that they come with warranty! Check their deal of the day - Sharp AQUOS LC32D43U 32 inch LCD! Enjoy your shopping!

Pat some powder. A touch of light pink blush. Curl those lashes. A dab of eyeshadow followed by a stroke of mascara, wiggle the wand at the base of the lashes. Do this twice to brighten your eyes. Put on some lipstick and then apply some shimmer lip gloss for those luscious lips. A comb to brush those lovely locks.Makeup mirrors on the wall, who is the prettiest of them all?

ADVENTURE WITH SIS 2
2007-11-30 15:11:00
I just stayed home today. I wanted to rest because my legs hurt, but not my sis. She went shopping again and came home with more toys! Anyway, yesterday we were in China and went to The Venetian in Macau. The place looked amazing! But we had a funny experience on our way there. We were always in a hurry to catch the bus, the ferry and the train because unlike in the Philippines which anything goes, everything here is timed which I think is good. Now I know how it feels like to join the amazing race. We went around the place and at dinner time we ate at the Red Dragon Noodle Restaurant right in the middle of The Venetian Casino. I ordered fishball noodle broth. I almost felt embarrassed when I started eating it. The flat noodles kept falling off my chopsticks. What I could have normally eaten in 15 minutes, took me almost an hour to finish. The noodles were so slippery. Now I know what those long strands of bean sprouts were for - to catch those slippy noodles. Ha! I ate them first a...

Screensavers
2007-11-30 08:55:00
Are you fund of screensavers? Me, I used to that's why I had aquarium screensavers on my computer before. I have a lot of choices to choose from but this aquarium was what I liked best. During special occasion like Christmas, which was the only time I change it to a different picture, I choose from a variety of Christmas screensavers like a fireplace screensaver or winter screensavers. Screensavers today are primarily decorative and usually feature moving images and sometimes sound effects which makes them more appealing. I had mine on for entertainment only and not for what they usually call a "burn-in". Which screensavers do you like best?

First, I'd like to thank my brothers and sisters in Christ for praying for us. You are all so precious. Thank you for not leaving me alone in this battle. I know in my heart that I am victorious because of Jesus Christ and because of all His prayer warriors who are interceding for us. Thank you!I'm so glad I got hold of a computer so I can blog about this trip God blessed me with and share it to y'all. I still haven't gotten any decent sleep since the other night. Anyway, we arrived in Hong Kong at exactly 9:50 a.m. We're staying at my cousin's pad in the Grand Pacific View in Tuen Mun. Mom mom's wonder twin, Aunt Rosalina, welcomed us. My cousin is due to be back home on Friday from South Africa. I was feeling so sleepy when we finally got to the condo at around 11 a.m., but I didn't had time for a nap. Aunt Rosalina prepared us lunch. At around 1:30 p.m., sis and I went to Tsim Sha Tsui and the real adventure began. We went around the city and my sis shopped like crazy! My ...

Market Research
2007-11-27 08:36:00
We are planning to launch a product line in the telecommunication business and we concluded that this product will be feasible based on the market research we've done a few months back. The study helped us determine which portion of the population will purchase our product. It helped us make better business decisions. I'm not really a marketing person but I know a little of this and that of marketing. My husband is the one who's really good at this though. I'm not going to reveal anything about the product just yet, but once it's final then I will. Until then...

PRAY FOR US
2007-11-26 11:31:00
I started this blog to write things about my life that I didn't mind sharing to the whole world. An opportunity came for me to earn from blogging and I'm grateful for that but I guess things will be different from now on. I will be writing less sponsored posts although there will still be some from time to time but not as much anymore.Anyway, I will be away for a while and will be back posting on December 3. I will be with my sister in Hong Kong for a short vacation. Honestly, if I could beg out from this trip I would but it's all set and I guess God really wanted me to take this trip. I'm leaving on Wednesday. To all who reads this post, I'd like to ask you to please stand with me in prayer for myself, my husband and our marriage. I know that there are people and forces of evil that are hoping and trying all they can to destroy this God ordained marriage. I also know that the enemy will try his best to snatch us out of God's will and bombard us with lies until we succ...

THE BATTLE IS ON
2007-11-23 10:33:00
This will be quite interesting for bloggers who make a few bucks like me from paid blogging. To others this info may have little or no effect at all. Have you noticed your PageRank's status now? Well, if you were slapped with a ridiculously low PR, this was a result of Google?s campaign against paid linking and advertisement links which influence PageRank. My PR took a nosedive! How frustrating!!!If the advertisers consider Google PR a great deal then how on earth can we "small" bloggers get a decent offer from paid blogging companies? I don't get it!I really hope this issue will be resolved soon.

My Kind Of Design
2007-11-22 11:30:00
Don't you love curtains on your windows? I do. We have this simple beige drape in our bedroom although not exactly my taste. That'll do for now since we're just renting the place. But I have exactly an idea how my dream house would look like. Hubby and I have gone around the metro to look for some pieces of furniture for our new home. We were both excited because we were newly weds then. We didn't end up buying what we really wanted because of our limited budget. Nevertheless, we had bought a few functional pieces that still serves its purpose five years after. They weren't that bad.I prefer a combination of different interior design patterns but on the minimalist side. There's simply isn't much going on here, at least at first glance. I like clean lines and simple decors but still very homy. I want it to look sophisticated and serene. I like to complement a room with the timeless look of roman blinds. I do love drapes too but I prefer those with grommets instead ...

MY SWAP PARTNER

I'm so excited about our Christmas Ornament Exchange, it's my first time to join and I already got my swap partner. Yey! I'm going to go window shopping this weekend and see what I could find for Barb. Yep, that's her name. I'm going to mail my package to her first week of December, maybe after I've gotten back from Hong Kong. Hope she'll like it. I am so excited!!! I was surprised how crafty and creative this super mom is. I mean, she's really good. You should see her works. Here are some samples:Yep, she made those! Isn't she amazing?Anyway, I promised to post a picture of my Christmas wreath last time. So here it is. It's a gift from a friend. And here's a Santa and his reindeer hubby and I bought three years ago.Last Sunday at home, I was so bored and so I went out the terrace and took this picture. I wasn't really thinking of anything then, just appreciating the sunset. I just took this shot and went back inside. Haha! Excuse my amateurish shot. I kn...

Furniture From Home
2007-11-21 09:38:00
I'm fond of looking at furniture catalogs and dream about having those stuff in my house. I used to work at a European furniture store and everything around seem like they were all taken out of a magazine. They look so perfect! I got interested in these things only after I got married. Marriage did change me a lot! Anyway, I remember we used to have this leather sectional sofa at my parent's house when I was still very young. When we moved out of that house, I was around nine then, I never saw that sofa again. Mom got a new one.So, after taking some online quiz this morning, I went ahead to search for some furniture online and look what I found! Isn't it lovely (inset photo left)? That is my dream living room! If you find that gorgeous, wait till you see the rest on Furniture From Home . They have Bedroom sets, Living room sets, Dining room sets, Home office furniture and for leather fans, they also have Leather furniture. See that bedroom set (inset photo upper right...
Quiz Rocket
2007-11-21 09:37:00
I'm here in the office alone with nothing to do really so I decided to do something else today. I started off by taking a Christmas quiz and a lot more other quizzes after that just for fun. It's actually an amusing way to pass the time. I get to laugh at myself in the end because of my ridiculous scores. Haha!I took the online Bible Quiz . I got quite a good score on that. This one is interesting, the Pet Quiz - Which Pet Is Right For You?And here's why:Get a Cat You should get a cat; you definitely want a little furry friend but need your space as well. You'd be happy to have the little kitty wander around the house and show up when you put the food down. Cats are great at knowing when you want them around and when you don't.Try it out! Have fun! Remember, laughter is the best medicine. Get a dose of some...

A Home Away From Home 5
2007-11-20 11:23:00
This is getting exciting! From France, we're all going to three different destinations that are equally breathtaking... still in Europe though. Are you ready?First off - Netherlands! There's the famous Canal houses alongside the Prinsengracht (inset photo upper left). There's also the Dam Square that lies in the historical center of Amsterdam. Great view! Stay in any Amsterdam hotels while you explore the other scenic spots in this beautiful country.Next we go to one of my favorites - Greece! I really wish I could set foot on this country one of this days. By the way, there's so many places you've got to see here. Try island touring and see the historical sites and museums. See the magnificent view of the Acropolis (inset photo right). This I wouldn't miss for sure - the Parthenon remains (inset photo top) and the Temple of Olympus Zeus! Worried about where to stay? Check these out! Athens hotels or better yet Greece hotels. This feels like I'm back in the Bibl...

GOD IS IN IT WITH YOU
2007-11-20 11:15:00
Toni over at My Journey sent me this message at my multiply site this morning. I thought it would be really nice to share this with our brothers and sisters in Christ. I was so encouraged by it and I hope that you will be encouraged too. "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God , to those who are called according to His purpose." Romans 8:28 Do you feel misunderstood and forsaken by the people you love? Have you been falsely accused and stripped of everything, without a dime to your name? Is your life messed up? Maybe today is the day you hit rock-bottom and you wonder if you can ever rise again. Joseph, who was sold by his brothers into slavery (Genesis 37:28), went through all these experiences and emotions. Still, he was conscious that God was in it with him every step of the way. Though his life was a mess, he believed that it was not an accident. Though the things that were happening to him were not good, he believed that God was making...

It's For Free
2007-11-20 07:24:00
I love to play games online. I used to play Solitaire during my free time. I play all sorts of online games, but I never tried online casino. I've seen several online casino sites before because of pop ups but I never really paid any attention to them until now. This is my first time to talk about these stuff because I don't normally do this.Anyway, so I went to check this online casino site to see what's in it up close. There's a list of different online casino sites one can visit with a catch right there that says BONUS. The site also says FREE guide to help US Players find safe and fun online gambling destinations. The words Free and Bonus are used to catch attention which I think is very persuasive in this case. This brings to mind a very important observation. People flock on sites such as this probably to get satisfaction, maybe because of the bonuses and free stuff one can get, I don't know, maybe that or something else. But one thing is true - it's temporary....
WAIT UPON THE LORD
2007-11-19 07:59:00
I woke up alone in our bedroom. I looked around... prayed... picked up my Bible and read it. I was reading passages from the book of Psalm and came across Psalm 27:13-14. It says, "I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord." For the past few days I've been feeling anxious and hungry for God 's word. My heart cries to the Lord to give me direction and to help me see things the way He sees them. I prayed... and prayed... and prayed. And then this morning God lead me to Psalm 27.God is clearly telling me to wait for Him. To wait upon His timing - not my time but His. But as a "doer", I always thought I ought to do something. That's not God's instruction. He said WAIT and that's crystal. That part, when I tend to go ahead of God, is the one reason which always, always gets me into trouble. In relation to this I have tons of unanswered questions too like, "...

My mom and dad have two things in common - they both love music and they both love the recliner chair my sister bought them two years ago. It's so comfy that even my four year old nephew loves to sit on it. These recliners have some similarities with the old rocking chair. The differences are first, recliners can be reclined to any angle and second, the additional comfort it gives to the one who sits on it. It perfectly supports the back of the person whatever the reclining angle it's set to.I tried watching TV on one of these and guess what, I fell asleep! *yawn*
Travel Guide
2007-11-19 06:03:00
I always have a road map inside the car. I hate getting lost so I need to know where I am going and what road to take all the time. Remember I once told you how a control freak I was? I still am in a way but not as bad as I was before. It is wise to have a travel guide on hand when we go places. I always do. It helps you plan for your trip. It gives you an idea where to stay while you're there like hotels and inns. It also tells you what places to visit in the area where you're at. It also gives information about other important stuff like rent-a-car, flights, cruises, restaurants, etc. It's really handy and saves you a lot of time and money too.

Staying Healthy
2007-11-19 06:02:00
Since I got married almost five years ago, my doctor has advised me to take nutritional supplements to compensate the essential nutrients that food alone can't provide. I was made aware that when nutritional supplements are taken in addition to a healthy diet and exercise, this can help me reach an optimal state of health. Thanks to my health buff brother who got all sorts of these supplements he's taking everyday. Well, my doctor knows my medical history and so I trust the brands she recommends. For one, I can't just take any supplement that's readily available over the counter. I mean, that'll be so convenient. I wish I could take those but I couldn't. Why? Well, Vitamin E and I don't get along pretty well. I'm allergic to Vitamin E!Sigh... Yeah, I know, it sucks! =(

Better Caring
2007-11-16 09:13:00
Let's face it. It is not easy to care for the elderly and there are families who opt to put their trust on care homes to care for their elderly loved ones. Although this is not too popular in the Philippines because of our culture, I know it is in other parts of the world like the US and the UK, probably because of their fast pace life. Different people have different views on this regard. And so before we make any decision, it is very important to choose the right care homes for our elderly loved ones. Everyone is unique and has different needs. This is why experienced nurses and health aides who can provide skilled and non skilled services with affection and respect is very important for each family to take into account. Our elderly deserves a holistic and family-oriented care. They deserve to live in comfort in spite of their demanding needs. It is equally important to check out not just the services they offer and their caregivers but also the values in which t...
IT DOES WORK!
2007-11-15 06:29:00
Remember I wrote here before that I withdrew money from my Paypal account to my credit card last week and I wasn't sure how it'll go? Well, here's an update and a good one too! I checked my credit card status online to see if my Paypal withdrawal has already been credited to my card. And there it was! 11/07 PAYPAL *WITHDRAWAL ******** PHP 3,739.95 USD 85.00 As if I wasn't convinced yet, so I double checked it by calling the credit card company to confirm my payment for the month. And it's been settled! Yipee!I just have to see it with my own eyes to believe that this really works because I know it does in other parts of the world but I wasn't sure if it's going to be the same here. Receiving money through Paypal is relatively new here in the Philippines. But now, I'm convinced! Paid blogging does work and so does Paypal!Thank you, Lord, for this blessing!

Kill The Termites
2007-11-13 10:47:00
I hate pests in the house and I guess everybody does. I've never seen real live termites in my life but I've seen the damage they've done. I've seen how badly these pests can ruin one's home. If you suspect a drywood termite infestation in your house, a thorough examination of the entire structure should be conducted by a pest control operator or a building inspector as soon as possible. If you have these uninvited guests in your place, there are ways to get rid of them. Do it now!

SAY NO EVIL

We're about to leave in a while for another meeting, but before I do, let me just share this with you real quick. Last weekend, I got a call from my sister and she was fuming mad. Mom and dad were having problems at home. That same night, I also got a call from a long lost friend, Joyce, who shared with me some stories that really made me upset. Joyce and I met nine years ago and became friends but we lost touch and saw each other again last Friday. She saw me at the lobby getting my mail. It so happened that she also lived on the same building. She moved in last month. At my unit, Joyce and I talked about friends, life and about God . We did a lot of catching up. I've learned that she's in and out of depression because her fiancé passed away just recently. They've been together for 11 years. She was totally lost and you could tell right away. I got to share with her the Word of God and she agreed to go with me to church. Now going back to what upset me, the followi...
