A personal financers review of SubvertAndProfit.com
2008-03-28 09:01:00
I’m all for passive income and when I initially saw this website I thought it was a good idea, and I signed up. They promise decent money ($0.50 to $1.00 per SU review) for a fairly easy task. It makes sense (cents) for them and pumps up the site that is purchasing those ...

2008-03-25 09:01:00
It’s almost “D-Day” for taxes with less than 3 weeks left to file, and I’ve been giving a few gifts recently that may help out and I wanted to pass on as appreciation to my readers! The format is very similar to the last “Hank’s Handout” post with over $200 in prizes! The ...

Should the government save folks facing foreclosures?
2008-03-24 09:01:00
In January alone, more than 45,000 American families lost their homes to foreclosure. That number sounds high, right? January 2007 saw about 20,000 less foreclosures. The marketing was sliding then, but wasn’t nearly hitting 45,000 families across the country. Is it in the governments duty to help these folks out? So foreclosures are ...

Strange how that works out, Hangout #22 falls on the 22nd.  Must be a sign!  Go buy a lottery ticket, quick!   Another good week at MIB, readership via RSS increased 13% I believe due to a few new advertising structures I’m bouncing around including Entrecard and StumbleUpon Ads.  I’ll be discussing those a bit more ...

The age old question: How many credit cards should I have?
2008-03-21 09:01:00
Oh how many times have I seen or been asked this one, and I always give the same answer, it depends. I hate giving you the same old song and dance you’ve always heard, so I’ll add on some other VERY beneficial questions you should know the answer to when asking this question… 1. ...

What do you have in your wallet - cash, credit, or none of the above?
2008-03-19 09:01:00
What do you have in your wallet? I’ve always been a big fan of spending only what I had in my wallet and nothing more. Don’t buy on margin, never use layaway, (does anyone still do this?) and under NO circumstances use credit! It probably has a lot to do with how I grew ...

2008-03-18 09:02:00
This is always a hot topic, especially around this time of year. To accountant or not to accountant, that is the usual question. For some it isn’t a question, accountants cost money they don’t have, but for a LOT of people, they can get their taxes done for a lot less than they ...

I got to thinking this weekend when I saw half a tablet of the dishwasher detergent (the kind that comes in the “concentrated pacs”) left in the bucket and thought I’d toss it in and get the extra $0.04 out of the jumbo bucket of 60 I got at Costco. I had plenty more to ...

2008-03-14 09:01:00

Monthly net worth update March 2008 (+2.42%)
2008-03-11 09:01:00
Things are still on the upswing this month, up 2.42% from last month. My 401k recovered from a pretty big dump the month prior; but my wife’s is still shooting ahead MUCH faster with another 10% increase this month! REREX and TRRDX are proving to be big backers for her and her 1,2 punch. DODFX is still my big dog and he brought in about $1,000 after diving 300 the month before. Here is the latest (click to enlarge):

2008-03-08 09:01:00

Will Brett Favre?s retirement make the stock market take a dive?
2008-03-05 09:01:00
Brett Favre announced his retirement yesterday leaving several die hard Favre fans unable to deal. Emotionally, these people should be very worried, but that isn’t the half of it! Financially, the US economy should be the ones that are taken aback by this news! Below here is a VERY scientific graph I dug ...

This is how rich people think differently than poor people
2008-03-04 09:01:00
I came across Mark Shead’s 10 Signs You Will Be Poor post today and realized how true it is. Often times it is the small things that can derail your financial future. Much of the population doesn’t realize or plan properly anymore. With mortgage companies lending money how they have the past few years, and ...

Will a tankless water heater really save me money?
2008-02-29 09:06:00
I saw an ad after the Super Bowl (which is about 2.1 million less to run I’d guess than the DURING game ad) about these tankless water heaters. I thought it sounded like a good idea because by the time the wife and kids hit the shower in the morning, there’s nothing left for ...

2008-02-27 09:01:00
So I jumped on the ‘meme’ bandwagon last week to give it a whirl to see if it indeed did bump up my PageRank and Technorati score. Well, let me first of all say that my Technorati score decreased nicely (lower is better) from 124,139 to 96,541. This is a 22.23% rate of ...
