Audio Version Of An American Hedge Fund Now Available On Audible, iTunes &a
2008-05-28 21:17:00 That’s right, if you enjoyed reading my book An American Hedge Fund , you’re gonna love its audio version! It was actually quite an adventure getting it made as I solicited dozens of voice over artists, finally settling on this guy Brett Barry, who did an incredible job with my book. Have a listen to a sample from the first chapter: CLICK HERE TO LISTEN TO MY SAMPLE Clocking in at just under seven hours, the story will obviously pump you up (especially the first half…before reality sets in), but mixed in with this guy’s soothing voice, well, it’s something definitely worth checking out. There’s several ways to purchase this audiobook–you can download it on iTunes for $15.95 (I have no link…can you even link directly to something on iTunes?), Audible for $17.47 and even if you don’t have access to an mp3 player (what are you, the Unabomber?), you can even purchase this audiobook … [visit site to read more] More About: Audio , Itunes
LiveStock Returns This And All Future Fridays 1-2PM EST
2008-05-28 16:58:00 Many thanks for making the first LiveStock show a great success (use that link to watch all past and future shows…for some reason the video player doesn’t get along with my site)—now we’ve got a regular weekly live time slot: every Friday afternoon from 1-2pm EST. That’s right, have your questions and tickers ready cuz it’s gonna be live and interactive, then viewable forever (on that little on demand tab) and ever. Maybe you guys could help me out by posting some questions in the comments section so I can make sure they get answered! As you can see from the banner below, this ain’t your typical finance show—I’m just as likely to knock back a few drinks on air as I am to have some surprise guests…possibly some female models…or industry professionals…mixed in with some music videos and comedy sketches. That’s right, since it’s my name up there, I’m determined to make this sh@# fun at all costs! And, just like the market itself, it ain’t gonna be v... More About: Future , Livestock

The Latest Glowing Book Review For “An American Hedge Fund”
2008-05-28 01:08:00 It’s reviews like this that really make me proud. Forget that this guy thoroughly enjoyed my book for a second—more importantly, you’ll see he was even more pleased that somebody else in this joke of an industry shared similar experiences as him. I call this a joke of an industry only because of the ridiculous SEC regulations that divide us and prevent us from sharing our experiences openly. To cut through all the misconceptions caused by this regulatory BS—that’s the goal of my book and website…thank God it looks like I’m succeeding. Take your stinking paws off us you damn dirty SEC! (The views expressed above are solely my own and do not reflect the views of the book reviewer below) I just wanted to thank you for recommending (and writing) your book (An American Hedge Fund) I just finished it a few minutes ago. I am not a big reader, And yet I read it cover to cover in 2 sittings! It was fantastic! Honestly, I felt like the book was detailing my own life. I am a tr... More About: Book Review , Review , Book
PennyStocking Success Means New Website Features: Quotes & Chat
2008-05-27 21:30:00 Congratulations to PennyStocking! It started out late last year with me starting this blog, rambling on about how penny stocks were more predictable than regular stocks and that if I could turn thousands into millions in just a few years, everyone else can too–particularly because I’m not even that great at it! Since this was a rather remarkable concept, I pledged to repeat my feat, to prove to everybody what kinds of profits were possible. Some people believed me, but most didn’t understand what the hell I was talking about, choosing to write me off as just another snake-oil salesman. Now, just six months later, when there are daily posts from PennyStocking students like Webster making $900 per day and JeffMoates making $10,000 over the past month, I’m filled with pride. People are starting to realize this ain’t no BS marketing scheme and I ain’t no snakeoil salesman, this is real and I’m your crazy yet experienced guide. … [visit s... My Latest AOL Finance Article: True Religion Apparel, Inc. (TRLG)
2008-05-27 17:51:00 I’m a short seller so I’m lookin’ and lookin’ for stuff to short and other than KYUS, which had no shares available…anywhere…today at least, all I seem to find lately are perfect breakout plays of real companies! Charts like Third Wave Technologies, Inc. (TWTI), which I mentioned in this morning’s post, and now True Religion Apparel , Inc. (TRLG), which I just detailed in THIS AOL Finance post. While neither are right for PennyStocking or any short term trading for me, they both have a lot going for them and probly wouldn’t make such bad investments. (Uhhhh I can’t believe I just used the word “investents”. I feel dirty. Blehhhh.) But seriously TWTI is a pure play for testing HPV, an STD that’s infected 20 million Americans and 6 million new ones each year. Good business to be in, even if their losses are substantial…especially if it can truly confirm this breakout by cracking its 2001 $11 IPO price&hell... More About: Article , True Religion
Hot Stocks: Vivus Inc (VVUS), Third Wave Technologies Inc (TWTI) & More
2008-05-27 14:30:00 CabelTel International Corp. (GBR) and KENTUCKY USA ENERGY INC (KYUS) are the stocks I’m targeting to short today…GBR because Friday was its first down day—which I missed due to LiveStock—even if the spread is ridiculous…hopefully there’ll be an opening spike due to oil…KYUS didn’t finish red, but the momentum definitely suffered, let’s see how many more mailers these guys can send out, can’t go on forever. I also missed the roller coaster known as Sino-Global Shipping America, Ltd. (SINO)—all you people buying Friday afternoon are just complete morons. Seriously. Have I taught you nothing? Why the hell would you ever buy a speculative company that’s already risen so much, especially when it cracked support at $24? Did you believe the message board hype? You really haven’t watched my PennyStocking DVD yet, have you? For shame. Then there’s the royally volatile oil-related plays … [visit site to read more] More About: Stocks , Technologies , Wave
TIMTV Is Here And It’s Gonna Entertain Ya!
2008-05-27 00:18:00 Besides LiveStock (another live show later this week…Friday afternoon again), and a few other shows I’m working on (oh yes, there’s more…), TIMtv is all about quality entertaining/comedic clips meant to help traders pass the time in between worthy trades (oh yes, everything I do is educational…somewhat). I know from experience how tough it is not to take a small positions here and there—just for the potential profit/experience/rush and you must avoid that temptation cuz that’s not the way to make big % returns. TIMtv is gonna help you focus on only the worthiest of trades by wasting away market hours upon market hours of your lives. Here’s the first batch, if you know of any more great clips, preferably on Youtube and finance/business related, definitely send ‘em my way! What Classy Pump & Dumper Dennis Gartman Can Learn From Classy Fund Man
2008-05-26 20:44:00 Remember the time when self-proclaimed stock picking guru Dennis Gartman pumped up no-revenue-earning microcrap joke-of-a-company Converted Organics Inc. (COIN) by mentioning it alongside his other picks in Barrons? No matter that ALL his other picks were multi-billion dollar companies with actual businesses. Well, since that pump COIN has taken a dump and in the latest Barrons article posted on The Big Picture, a smalltime fund manager who basically predicted this housing downturn shows Dennis how to behave in interviews. We’ve Only Just Begun: A Memorial To BodyTel Scientific, Inc. (BDYT)
2008-05-26 16:22:00 This Memorial Day we commemorate not only the men and women who perished in service to their country but the pumps and dumps that inevitably perish in service to their manipulators. Each year thousands fall, so let us celebrate the life of the pump known as BDYT, who’d only just begun to blossom, with a song I wrote: We’ve only just begun to surge, Stock spam and promises A check for the promoters and we’re on our way. Why The iPhone 3G Might Make Apple Inc. (AAPL) A Breakout Buy
2008-05-25 17:08:00 Now as you know AAPL isn’t my typical play, but since I’m awake 20 hours/day thinking about all potential profit angles, this one’s popped up on my radar. THIS 3G iPhone news has whipped the no-stock-market-experience-geeks into a frenzy as if they were strippers on coke and the usual stock-market-talking-heads are now running around as if they were about to utter something meaningful for once (nahhhhhhhhh, that’ll ever happen!), so I gotta interject. And remember, my word actually means something cuz not only is my trading account up 40% in the past 6 months, I nailed how Visa would perform (initial VMW-type price rise, but slightly more conservative, before quick drop off, seriously…months before its happened, read my article HERE), but most importantly, a few months ago before its 40% drop, I smacked all those AAPL cheerleaders with $300 price targets across their big fat fee-earning, research-lacking faces by urging caution at $200…see glorious article HERE) Now I re... Welcome To LiveStock, The First Truly Interactive Financial Show, Whatcha T
2008-05-24 20:17:00 Yesterday, as many of you were either banking or losing, depending on your skill, on the glorious volatility of PennyStocking plays SINO, MXC, FPP, PDO and ROYL (yes they are higher priced, but that don’t mean they ain’t gonna come right back down to where they belong…eventually), I was planning for and filming THIS test episode of LiveStock, the first real-time interactive finance show that will complete my transformation into Cramer 2.0. A big thank you to those who joined in—this was just a rough draft, but I’ve got the go ahead to make this a weekly…possibly even a daily show…so let’s get it onnnnnn! 2008-05-23 18:28:00 I might be am a prick, but to help you guys better understand how everything on Wall Street is about perception, I gotta post this. Stocks To Play Today & How To Balance Work And Trading
2008-05-23 15:22:00 Took a quick $300 hit this morning, covering my overnight short of PDO for a $1/share loss…just can’t trust these oil plays to rise/fall apart like textbook Supernovas because they’re tied to the price of that commodity. Add in the stocks’ illiquidity, the necessity of taking small losses on my tiny account and since I’ll be prepping LiveStock (remember to tune in HERE at 2PM EST!!!) for the majority of the day today and it wasn’t really a question of me covering for a loss—only the size was in doubt. Whenever there’s a morning spike like this, you can usually get out for small losses—some times even small gains—because after such a big quick drop, there’s still an overhang of longs who want to cut their losses and shorts looking to enter on any bounce. That creates a nice bit of selling that helps prevent huge spikes, at least at first. Furthermore, as I wrote last night, I knew full well a gap higher was possible, but in my opinion the size of potential gain... More About: Stocks , Play , Trading , Work , Today
Short Selling Hyped Up Oil Stocks: Fieldpoint Petroleum Corp. (FPP) Et Al
2008-05-23 02:35:00 Over the past few days, I’ve had muchas problemas shorting all these hot energy stocks—mostly because I hadn’t taken my medicine lately—when really all I had to do was wait for them to go negative on the day. (late yesterday afternoon, I made my latest tiny-account-so-I-can’t-risk-any-pain-d amn-that-really-sucks-for-my-strategy kind of a mistake, shorting 300 PDO at $26.38, since it took out support at $26.50, and while it quickly tanked to $25.50, I wanted more than 85 cents/share profit so I held and it squeezed shorts like me to $29 this morning—I’d already covered yesterday before the close at $27.50, another $300+ loss uhhhhhhh) Today was that day. After managing to only gap a tad bit higher, MXC, FPP, PDO, ROYL and about a dozen other of these highfliers just got absolutely devastated. Normally Supernovas tank just a little at first, but an absolute and immediate wreckage like this—all these stocks are down 15-30% on the day—is very rare. First to go was MX... Buying Stocks Like Mexco Energy Corp. (MXC) Works Too…If You’re Quick
2008-05-22 19:32:00 As you know, I want to teach you how to profit from all these sketchy low priced stocks, from the long AND short side, but since I’ve got about a dozen projects that interfere with my trading and considering I suck at going long, every now and then, I’m gonna bring in some posts from other traders/writers from whom you can learn a thing or two. So, get ready this site is gonna increasingly become Seeking Alpha except that it won’t suck as there won’t be thousands of unqualified people writing about thousands of different stocks—now you’re gonna get just a few select views on a few select stocks, the only views and stocks that really matter to PennyStocking. That way you’ll be able to see many more angles…sound good? First guest post comes from The Market Kid who’s been buying these same energy stocks I’ve been looking to short and enjoying far greater great success. Today, they might be dropping like flies (I put in short sell order for PDO at $29, $28 and $... More About: Buying , Stocks , Energy , Quick , Works

The Dangers Of Shorting Hot Oil Stocks With Absurd SEC Rules, A Lack Of Dis
More articles from this author:2008-05-21 22:34:00 That title is just about the worst combo there is and yet I went full steam ahead, shorting 1,000 FPP five minutes after the market open into a spike I thought to be ill-fated. Nearly right away when I was down 20 cents on my position, I knew I’d screwed up. Despite my warning everyone about the dangers of shorting these rocketships before they go red and the fact that I made the exact same mistake just two days ago, I even refused to take a $150 profit, instead wanting more, almost inevitably getting squeezed for a $600 loss. I guess it’s true what they say, you can’t t each a greedy Jew new tricks. I explained my rational for breaking the very rulesI created to protect myself the other day—not that its much of an excuse—and today was no different, except FPP was double the price and I got squeezed for double, 50 cent/share as opposed to 25, too. Fitting, right? Again, I was right about the morning pullback after the spike, it just happened $1 higher than my entry! &he... More About: Stocks , Rules , Absurd , Lack 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 |
