18000 shares+320There was good money in the short side but my trading was off again. I was doing well in the morning and I caught a bounce in the fertilizer stocks for $300+ . Then I reversed to go short when I saw some of the AG stocks weakening. I shorted AGU, AG and TRA and got squeezed a couple of times. I pretty much lost all my gains that I made. I began to have doubts about the trend of the market. When I got short later I was scared and only went for small sizes. I also took profits early because I was in scalping mode. Overall it was good to come back green for the day. I have to end my day early because I am attending a 5k run.

19200 shares-299I had a very tough time today. It started when I failed to follow my plan. I was flat for awhile and around 10:00am my esignal charts froze and I had to restart. Right before it crashed I saw a dummy setup in LDG. After I get my charts up again LDG broke down over $1. I felt like some bad vibes are blocking my mojo. I was supposed to watch stocks with gap openings, but I ended up trading GS for awhile and lost a little over $130 in the stock. No more GS for me. I will leave him to Ducati. Then I tried to pick tops in the fertilizer stocks. The market was weak but those stocks held up strong and squeezed me good. My instincts told me to stop and take a break because I am not feeling the flow. I was down around $250 bucks and I wanted to make my money back. 14800 shares-20Today I had some nice longs but made mistakes that cost me good gains. I saw ICE ripping up so I looked at NYX. I was long NYX at 63.70 at around 9:40 and the stock went up to around 64.25 and sold off back to 63.78. When it bounced back to 64 and had trouble moving up I sold 200 shares at 63.94. On the last 100 I made around 70 cents. I was also long 400 shares of BJ at 36.30 at 9:55. The stock spiked up pretty fast and I was letting it run. It went up to 37.17 and sold off hard. On the way up I sold 100 at 36.80 for a 50 cent gain and held on to 300 shares. I end up getting out of my 300 shares at 36.42 for 12 cents. If I was not greedy on BJ, I could have locked in some gains at 37 for 70 cents on 300 shares. With NYX I was scared of losing my profits so I got out of my profitable position. The stock moves up $1 from there. I think since we are still in a down trend I should not be too greedy on my long trades. 50 cents to $1 gain is good.

I think I lost 10 bucks in my first trade and that was a while back. I took an overnight in CZZ yesterday at 15.75 because it had a nice breakout in the daily chart. The stock had a reversal today and took out the lows of the previous day. I got out of my swing trade with a loss of 60 cents. This stock is pretty strong but today it was weak relative to the market. I don't trust these failed breakouts in a bearish environment. The stock is still holding above 15, and since it shook me out it might go up without me.

I traded cautiously today and I am glad I did because other than the quick spike up in the morning which I missed, the rest of the day was quite choppy.

I also had a profitable trade in TIE in the short side when it broke down to new lows at around 10:15. I stopped trading by noon since I was satisfied with my gains. I think I need to work improving my trading in the afternoons and come up with a plan to trade stocks like WHR and MGA. Both had great looking down trends with minimal shakeouts.

15600 shares-82I was in the hole for $200 in the morning. I made one trade that salvaged my day, a long in ORA. I got in at around 42.20 and got out at 43. I had around $30 in profits after the trade so I took a break till 2pm.During the afternoon sell off I had short in AGU and was up 60 cents. I did not take profits and ended up making only 18 cents on 200 shares. I think I blew a fuse after that, because after I covered it drops 40 cents again. I gave my money away in the fertilizers for the rest of the afternoon. I was in a pretty bad mood during the last hour and I am finally calming down as I write this post.My lesson for the day is stop trading when I get angry. I need some tips from attitude trader.

I caught a nice winner in CNQ later but only had 200 shares. I went long at 73.65 and got out at 74.50 and 74.53. That trade brought me back to break even. I traded lightly afterwards but did not catch anything.

10800 shares+353I had a bad start today. From 9:30 to 10:00, I had 6 losing trades in a row and lost over $200. I thought I might have a blowup day. A little after 10:05 am I saw the fertilizer stocks breaking down so I shorted AGU, TRA, AG, and MON. Since I had a bad start I did not have much confidence on my shorts. I got shaken out and I had to get in again at lower prices. I also took my profits way early and just sat and watched them continue lower. My MON short did not work out and I got squeezed for $90. After I covered my positions I was up around $200.At around 11:00 I went long small positions in AG and MON. I had a chance to take 50 cents in MON 3 times but I was greedy and lost 27 bucks instead. I was long AG at 62.81 and the stock went up to 63.40 but I was greedy again. When it came back down I got out at 62.82. 13200 shares+151I did better today but my trading is still erratic. I had good gains in WST but ended up making a lot less when the stock reversed on me. I really thought it had the potential to break 42 and test the 200 day moving avg, for a another 50-60 cents. Then I let some good gains in OII and HOS get away from me because I wanted to make a few more cents. When the time comes for me to hold longer I get out too soon. There's one trade in OII which could have given me 70 cents on 200 shares but I only made a lot less. My pnl was swinging back and forth the whole day. I was up over 150 and then I slowly gave all my gains back. There were 2 times when I was up 80 only to lose it right back. I finally managed to catch some moves in the last hour to get my net up to $150 again. Sometimes I feel a bit superstitious. 16400 shares-343The day played out just like yesterday. I was up a little over $140 in my first two trades and quickly lost all my gains. The market was just chopping around from 9:30-12pm. At noon, I took an hour break to refresh when I was down $80. My confidence was low and I could not get a feel for the direction. I should have stopped trading and shut down for the day. I traded again after my break and traded like crap. Every trade I took went against me. I would buy near highs and short near lows. My instincts told me to shut down, but I ignored it. The urge to make my money back was stronger. I tried to play a bounce in TEX and the thing cut right through and I ended up losing 45 cents. I got pretty ticked off. I was thinking of taking some 1000 share positions for 10-30 cent so I can make a come back quickly. I took some gambles with 200-300 shares on MON and MOS, and those trades hardly ever work so I got deeper in red.

24600 shares-350My trading was totally off today. I tried to get a aggressive early in the morning but did not catch anything. I was probably down around a $100. I felt like I needed to make something happen. Even though I did not see any thing great I took trades and had numerous losers. By the time I realized that I need to slow down I was down over $250. I just could not make a come back. I felt like my loss could have been a lot smaller today if I listened to my instincts. I did not have a feel for the markets today. My impulsive trading in the morning was a bad sign. I need to be cautious on the first day of the week by taking it slow instead of rushing in to trade.

Then I started losing money and was down around $200. I had to work my way back. I think I am getting some bad habits again. After that my losses just increased steadily and I was down over $150 for the day. I managed to make a come back at around 3pm. I had trade in DF near the end of the day. My average price of my 300 share position was 25.36 and the stock went up to 25.60. I thought it would go to 25.75 so I held on. The stock reversed and I lost 36 bucks instead. The problem with this trade was my strong conviction that the stock would reach my target of 25.75 so I was blinded by greed.

12200 shares+243There were great moves today but I did not trade well. I had a 200 shares of PBR in the morning at 116.00. As it was moving up I added 200 shares at 116.20. That brought my average price up. When the stock did not move up and retraced back to the 116 I got nervous and offered out 300 shares at 116.08. I was able to ride my remaining 100 shares to 117.75. I got to work on building my positions and finding the right spots to add. I was up around $250 at 10:30. Then I get this crazy idea to short the agriculture stocks because most of them made a reversal. AGU was very weak and it sold back down to the lows of the day. I tried shorting TRA and got squeezed. After getting squeezed I changed my stance and bought 300 AG at 62.30. The stock spiked down fast and clipped me for 30 cents. At that time my trading platform went down and I was stuck in a stock for over 10 minutes. I ended up making 12 bucks on the trade. My esignal charts were slow and it took over 20 seconds to load a chart. Hope things turn out better tomorrow.

I don't have much conviction trading either side of the market. I was skeptical of longs when the market was moving up till midday and I did not short either when the market sold off. Every time I put on a trade I either buy near the highs or short near the lows. One thing I did right was using small size of 100-200 shares and keeping my cool. 12600 shares+396I was up a little over $100 after going long the morning rip. I noticed the agricultural stocks moving up and I bought AG at 66.50. The stock stalled at 66.85 and I got out. MON, MOS, CF, and POT all moved up over $2. Out of all those stocks I managed to pick the weakest one. Later on in the day I made money shorting MOS and MON. Since these stocks are pretty volatile and I am trading scared these days most of my trades are 100 shares. With a smaller size I feel more comfortable and I am able to withstand some wiggles.

7200 shares+65I lost $260 on my first trade. I shorted MON and got squeezed for over 80 cents on 300 shares. I saw other fertilizer stocks selling off in the open and figured MON would do the same. After getting squeezed I bought AGU and MOS and made $160. I chipped away and made it back to green later on in the day. Not sure why I am so anxious to make a trade right near the open today. I even wrote out a plan on my notebook before the open saying that I need to wait for narrow range entries in the 15 and 30 minute charts so I can define my risk better.
