Good Bye Runescape?
2007-06-10 04:18:00 I just want to put up a quick announcement that I may forever be leaving the world of Rune scape that has been brought to you by Guthix, er, I mean Jagex Ltd. Yes, after my two year playing career on the MMORPG Runescape, achieving many goals such as making new friends, getting 99 woodcutting, getting 100 combat, and getting 1610 total level, my account known as Buddy Foote will forever be preserved in the basement of the Lumbridge Castle after I got my last level of my career in Runescape -- 83 fletching. Runescape was fun for the two years that I have been playing it. Friends came and went, many writings on this blog were only possible due to my activeness on the game, and I learned many values, whether they be minor or major. For example, Runescape helped me write an accurate account on medieval warfare for my culture's research paper, as I could relate to the topics I looked up with Runescape. However, over the last month or two, Runescape became dull to me and I lost interest i... More About: Good , Cape , Escape , Scape
End of School Parties
2007-06-08 20:30:00 Yes, my blog is a little later than promised, but I simply ran out of the necessary time needed to compose a naturally lengthy entry yesterday, thus I am sitting here now, on my first afternoon of summer 'break', bringing you the events in my life the past week. And boy, was that a big sentence or what? :PWell, last weekend was my good ol' beastly buddie's 16th birthday supreme. (We'll refer to her as Abby under these circumstances.) She had a terrific birthday party, packed with fun, and then I went home. The End.Just joking, could I ever be that discrete? I think it's a habit that I must go into detail whenever possible, otherwise I feel...incomplete, let's say. :P I went over to her house Friday night with another beastly buddie I heart, Nicole. From there Abby had to decide where we were going to go. :P Last minute deciding kind of people, just like me. x) We ended up going to Burlington for a shirt Abby desired, and then the mall where we did nothing but walk a... 90's Child
2007-06-06 20:49:00 Hey guys. I just wanted to post this memorable blog entry now, rather than wait until later. I have been pretty occupied with finals this week, and last weekend I did a lot with my friends so didn't have time to post a blog entry. (Another reason I want to write a quickie up now.) I'm not going to school tomorrow, and already have it planned to write a long catch-up entry about some fun events with my friends and the such. =) Then, Friday is my last day (I think report cards won't be Monday..so I guess I don't have to go :P ) and that means school will be over. I do have plans this weekend with Nicole and friends as she's throwing her 16th birthday party. After all that I'll write another entry and want to get focused on helping the blog and helping Steve with his list. Time to get motivated here peeps. :] Summer is on it's way, it's so close I can taste it. x)Anyways, I had a half day of school today and was just searching the web here when on a girl's website I found a si... Special Entry
2007-06-06 15:21:00 Why is this blog entry so special? Well, because it's Buddy Foote's Blog v.2's 400th blog entry! The blog will be two years old come July 24, so we have accomplished at least 400 entries in less than a two year period of time. Yes, the blog has had long periods of inactivity and the fact that we have five blog authors also contributed to the mass boom of entries, but do you know what I have to say? "We need to do better." Starting this summer, as I stated in the blog entry before 'Aeron and Foote #1', I have composed a to-do list that us here at BFBv.2 need to carry out. I just hope that the blog writers here, including myself, have the utmost motivation to post as much as possible. However, quality over quantity, so one large entry twice a week may equal five entries created throughout the week. As far as I know, Joey and Jenifer may be the only "handicapped" writers, as they either don't have access to the internet or the website. Caitlin, Chase, and I have no excuses, unles... Aeron and Foote #1
2007-06-03 14:53:00 Are you ready to read an intelligent, and may I add pretty lengthy, conversation between the smart individuals of Aeron and Buddy Foot e? Well, then get prepared to venture on such an adventure. With Aeron's permission, of course, he is enabling me to put up some of our best live conversations, which, for me, are saved in the AIM logger. The conversation that I'm putting up today is from yesterday, June 2, and I was going to make this entry yesterday but after going to the worst carnival in the world at my school, I was brainwashed and forgot all about it. In this conversation, we talk about Runescape, Runescape, Runescape, and World of Warcraft. Yep, I bet you didn't expect that MMORPG topic to pop up.Click here to read the full entry!Saturday, June 02, 2007Buddy Foote (10:21:43 AM):HelloAeron43 (10:22:14 AM):Ello' : )Buddy Foote (10:24:25 AM):This month in Runescape looks pretty good, eh?Aeron43 (10:24:26 AM):new bow and such? yea sounds interesting.. Runescape and Important Blog Info
2007-06-01 21:55:00 TGIF. Really, I'm so thankful to God that today's day is Friday, because with the multitude of final exams that have been hitting us for the past week, as well as five English essays that we had to compose, I'm academically dead. And yes, that is a legitimate excuse to why I haven't been posting much of this week on the blog. But hey, it's Friday, the first day of June, and I always try to post on the first of a month so here you are. The topic: Runescape is wowing me lately, but are the great updates enough to keep me interested and not move on to WoW?I don't know what's happening over there in Cambridge at Jagex's offices, as in the past month or two and in the current month of June, Jagex has been wowing players with some of the greatest updates that I have witnessed. Besides the introduction of skills such as construction and hunter as well as some graphical updates, Jagex has been impressing me enough. But! Now they're listening more to players through the suggestion f... More About: Blog , Info , Cape , Escape , Import
Icy Tower
2007-05-29 03:03:00 I was going to ignore the blog for the day and instead work on a Runescape crossword puzzle for it that I would put up tomorrow, but I figured that I have finals all this week and I may not have much time to post at all. Instead, I will do sort of a review on an addictive video game that has been abducting my life for the past week or so.The game, known as Icy Tower , is a free game created by Free Lunch Design. In the game, you must maneuver two main characters, one being a white gangster-like character and the other a black disco boogieing man, up floors of a tower to try and get to the highest floor possible that you have the ability to. While jumping up the floors, you should try and pull off a large amount of combo jumps, which is jumping two or more floors at a time. By pulling off multiple combo jumps or by reaching a high floor, you will get a score. In reality, like your average arcade game, the goal is to get the highest score, but through a simple perspective, it's to get...
Short Post
2007-05-29 02:13:00 Short blog for short people! Um. No offense if you are petite, I am not even myself...which makes no sense why I said that but did it grab your attention? I bet it did. Don't hurt me if you are below average height-wise. I like you. Okay. Enough! :]Ah. A blog from Caitlin is so refreshing isn't it? I meant to write hours ago, days even, but got lost in other activities. Happy Memorial Day by the way! =)Friday I went home with my friend Nicole where we went to the fancy center she had her dance recital at yesterday. Friday she had a short practice and I got to go with her, sit in the audience, and watch her perform with the rest of her dance class. They danced to songs from the musical Fame and such. It was cool =) Afterwards she took me with her to a local carnival. We watched some of the parade and then got to go on three rides (since that was all we had the time, money, and tickets for.) :P So many people from school were there, it was funny that I kept running in to someone new... The Countdown
2007-05-27 03:24:00 With ten more scheduled school days left on the calendar, many children in my school district may be rejoicing at the fact that the school year is almost over and the wonderful and adventurous season of summer is near. However, if Father Time gave me an option to go back in the past to the beginning of April of this year to endure more school or to live through the next ten days, I would rather jump on the time machine boggy train and head back to the past. That is how stressed out I am over the next ten days. I still have tests to take in regular classes, we have final exams galore, and on top of that, half of my English final involves the completion of five open-ended composition questions that I do not have the motivation and remembrance of to do. And on top of that, the next two days on my once-wonderful-three-day-weekend will be busy, thus reducing the valuable time that I need to do such projects and studying. And hell, half the teachers never even gave us information on our f... More About: Count , Countdown
What to Do?
2007-05-23 03:24:00 When you were younger, or if you're currently a teenager, did you ever think to yourself, "What am I going to do with my life? What am I going to make out of it? Who am I going to influence? What kind of person will I be? Where will I be?" Well, these questions have been streaming through my head for the last couple days and it's mostly about my future and, yes, college. This school year is almost over and then I'll only be faced with two more years until graduation. And then I'll have to start making the ultimate decisions that will change my life and my fate. What college will I go to, if any at all? What will I major in? And especially what occupation am I going to be working for in the future? These are questions that I want to get ready now, so I can wrap up the answers and start heading that way in my later high school years. At this point in time, things aren't looking too good. I have no extracurricular activities that I participate in at school, no clubs (well, my scho... More About: To Do
A School Entry
2007-05-21 14:14:00 Yet again, it has been a week and a weekend without me being aroung the blog to post an entry. And yet again, thank you Caitlin for being there with your utmost motivation to keep the blog active. I actually wasn't going to post at this minute, as I could be firemaking on Runescape or working on my actual assignment that was given (as you can tell by the title, this is an entry coming to you from my school). I'm just going to breifly update my life store here and move on. I had a good conversation with Aeron yesterday about almost everything that could be covered on Runescape, so I may post that up either today, tomorrow, or someday this week.Let me just start off by saying that my life this past week was horrible. During the actual week last week, I had a very uneasy feeling about the upcoming final exams that we're going to be plagued with come next week. Then, I woke up one morning for school later in the week with the right side of my jaw in pain. I later learned that my wisd... More About: School , Entry
Typical Long Random Post
2007-05-21 01:42:00 Well, quite a few things have occured since I last wrote, so I'll fill you all in. I planned on starting this entry a little earlier, as in 1pm, but it turns out it's now 6:11pm. :P I can never keep my personal promises to do this then and that then. 8) Last time I mentioned my field trip, well that was over a week ago. Last Saturday I got my hair cut! It was sort of last minute decided. I shared a haircut I liked an entry or so ago, but really didn't think I'd be getting my hair cut shortly thereafter. I got some length taken off to where it looks considerably shorter. I also got bangs cut. I haven't had bangs since first grade, and back then they were frizzy little curls with bowties taped on them. :P Getting used to having bangs was a little interesting at first. Depending on what I do it depends on how it looks. If I leave them natural, they either frizz out bad or stick up. I straightened them last week and that looked alright. Lately I've just been clipping th... More About: Post , Random , Long , Pica
The Hunt Is On!
2007-05-13 18:52:00 I must begin this blog by saying 'Happy Mother's Day' to all the mothers out there who have/had to put up with their sons and daughters since the moment, well, the miracle of reproduction happened.I was proofreading the blog entry that I produced yesterday (see, I can give birth too) and realized that I didn't mention 'Runescape' once in the whole entry. I was amazed as that entry may have been the first huge one in years that didn't mention one single bit of reference to Runescape at all. So I thought, "I'll now have motivation to write the next day on something relating to Runescape" and alas, I do have that motivation today. The topic that I wish to discuss relates to autoers/macroers. Yes, I have brought this up many times in the past but after sitting around for the majority of the day yesterday reporting any person that I suspected to be an autoer (and even today I reported a bit), I think I deserve to bring up the topic again. Lately, Jagex has been targeting the whole... More About: Hunt

A Series of Fortunate Events
2007-05-12 18:18:00 Hello. It is I, Buddy Foote. I am here to proclaim a series of events that have occurred to me since my little hiatus from the blog (which will follow no chronological order) and some other points that I may wish to make in this entry. First off, I would like to say 'sorry' as I have not been active much at this site. It was mainly due to the fact that I had no motivation whatsoever to write, and whenever I built up the mental ability that I say to myself, "You know what? I think I feel like writing a blog entry today." something comes up that prevents me from doing so, whether it be an internal conflict such as a headache or an external conflict such as going somewhere. And of course, such as I say in every blog entry that I produce every other two weeks, I was lazy. Sad, it's almost the middle of the month of May and I only produced two blog entries, with this being the second of the two. Thank God Caitlin has a lot of writing strength to keep the blog alive, or otherwise I wou... More About: Events , Series , Fortuna , Fort , Vent
Field Trip
2007-05-12 02:46:00 Hey there. As promised, I am going to take some time to write a blog entry about the field trip Thursday, and then of course you'll get your douse of Cat ramblings. =) I was just outside reading a little on the swing, "Bras&Broomsticks" is the title. I'm not sure I like it yet, apparently the group of 'girly' novels I got last week are not coming up to par with my liking. Summer Boys was good, but the rest I don't find that interesting. -shrugs- :PAnyways, Thursday I went on my first field trip with the National Honor Society. We left at 8:00, and didn't return until 2 that afternoon so I missed pretty much the whole school day. There was about a busload of us to go to the YMCA. I thought it amusing to be taking my personal school bus I ride everyday, along with my bus driver, George, whom it was nice to see. x) Once we got to the YMCA, I noticed it was just as small as I remembered it to be. I've only ever gone to that specific Y a time or two, which was for pool ... More About: Trip , Field
Update: I'm Alive
2007-05-01 14:05:00 I'm sorry that I haven't posted in a while. I don't really have any reasonable excuses to why I didn't. Heck, the good ol' "I was lazy" phrase won't even fit anymore, as I wasn't lazy. Was I playing Runescape too much to have time for the blog? Actually, no. Runescape, in my eyes, has decreased in its fun factor, and for some odd reason I can no longer play it for long periods of time like I used to. The stranger part is when I do want to play it, I stop myself. Yes, I'm trying to stop playing Runescape. My ultimate goal was to become a player moderator and I just recently got a total level of 1600, but I doubt I'll ever become a player mod after years of trying and I'm happy with my skills at the moment. So what else is there to do? Nothing much. I go on occasionally to mine gold because I actually find gold mining to be fun, especially in the location where I mine it at. Of course, I will go on every now and then to talk to friends, maybe get a level or two, or if it's ... More About: Update , Alive
Wake up Blog!
2007-04-30 01:54:00 Hey hey hey. Caitalindae to the rescue. I kept checking the blog in my free time over this very busy weekend and was sad to see no new posts so even though I don't have much time I want to save the blog from being in a major rut of having no new entries in a week. ;) In a sense, I am here to awake the blog&bloggers for that matter, tehe. Well, I didn't spend too much time on the computer this weekend because I had a lot going on. I had some school assignments to keep up with, and then my brother's birthday was today. =] I wish he'd post..I bet half of you don't even know who Chase is because he shows his face so rarely on this here blog. :P Oh well, you can't say I haven't tried to get him more active! x)I have some really good news! Friendship
2007-04-22 02:20:00 Hey, is anybody lonely out there tonight? If you are, reading a blog is always good to pass the time. :P Friends might work too, oh those friends, you gotta love them huh? I'm not neccessarily lonely or friendless tonight though, I guess I wanted to try a spiffy attention grabber. Speaking of 'grabbers', I am not sure I like the grabber I chose for my world cultures paper. In fact, after this blog I might be so "lonely" that I'm going to work some on my outline for that particular upcoming paper. Hah, I don't know. I have trouble starting blog entries sometimes. I enjoy jumping all over the place and saying this and that about my days.Well, I last wrote last weekend. I wish I had written more than once between then and now, but guess what? I didn't. xD Don't worry, I'll try again this week. I think Steve previously mentioned about us getting a snowstorm Monday and having no school. 2007-04-17 01:23:00 Buddy Foote here with my second blog entry in a single day. Isn't mankind lucky at this glorious second in time? Not only am I posting a second entry after more than a week long hiatus from the blog, but the Northeastern states today got some sticky snow dumped on them. And I mean sticky as in the snow sticking to surfaces, such as roofs, pavement, etc. Not sticky as a cinnamon bun. That would be strange. You allow your child to go out to play in the snow, they're all bundled up in their snowsuit, boots, and gloves, and then fifteen minutes later you look outside to discover that your child is stuck to the snow, face first, with their muffled screams hardly recognized unless a foot away from the scene. Yes, that would stink for the child. Thankfully this snow clings to surfaces, and you do not cling to it. Well, I had to shovel this sticky snow. Thankfully my father came home from work a bit early and he was able to use the plow on the ATV to get a majority of the sidewalks and th... More About: Random , Topics , Topic
Problem Solved: Runescape Fixed
2007-04-16 16:12:00 If you had been paying attention to the shoutbox recently or read the passage in Caitlin's last blog entry that mentioned my problem, then you should know what terrible event had occurred to me these last few days. The problem: Rune scape would not work on my laptop. Why? I'm not too sure. I believe it had to do with some factors, such as the multiple versions of Java that I had installed, something to do with Winsocks, and also some files in the system registry were defective. It may be all three, only one of the three, or none of the three at all, but I used those three to help me solve my problem. The problem first started on Thursday, April 12. I was just north of Seers' Bank cutting the four maple trees located there for some firewood when I experienced some lag, then a freeze, and then I was logged out because my connection was lost. Acceptable, as it happens every now and then. But then the log-in screen was too lagging and the animations were skipping, causing my computer t... More About: Problem , Cape , Escape , Fixed
A Fishload of Topics
2007-04-15 00:29:00 Okay...who starts a blog by saying 'okay'? =P Caitlin does I guess. Well, I haven't written since Easter, but I had started an entry yet unfortunately never finished it. I wish I knew or had a reason why. It was going to be about lying, but I guess the feelings about lying that I wanted to include in that entry have escaped me and therefore I'm not going to bother with that topic for the current time. Instead, I will just write, write, and write freely about the details of my life since Easter. I say this often, but I know very few people read this so writing it is mainly for my satisfaction only I guess I could say, but anyone who reads this I hope it's worth your time. ;] For starters, my Easter wasn't off-the-wall spankin' exciting, (although was it ever for a friend!!). This week at school we got our report cards along with class ring orders and course scheduling for our junior year. I am really pleased with my report card, in fact, I might as well say I am ecstatic becau... More About: Topics , Topic , Load
Blog Specials
2007-04-07 19:38:00 Being that I have nothing creative or any complaints to write about at the moment, I figure I would just put up some blog specials for today. I plan on taking a walk around my hometown of Jermyn, PA sometime this weekend (maybe tomorrow after Easter dinner) to snap some pictures of the environment and setting that I live in, so if you're interested in looking at pictures then stay in touch for those to be uploaded. I'm debating to whether post them all at once or one at a time underneath my 'Picture of the Day' blog special. Please help me decide there. And now for the blog specials:"Comment Those Keywords!""how to become an autoer"This keyword is telling me "I'm interested in breaking a major Runescape rule, I want to be banned, and I want to gain both levels and earn money while I sleep and "have a life" in the real world without doing any effort whatsoever in the game and decreasing the fun I have in-game and the fun that others have." If you look above this entry, you'll find some newly placed links and an ad. Ignore the ad for now (unless you're interested in what the ad is offering) and look at the links. We now have easy-to-find links to the forum, live chat, information on the new 'Ask Teh Foot e' blog special (teh is spelled wrong on purpose to mock the common internet usage of the simple word 'the'), crossword puzzle archive, a poll that would help us improve the blog if you voted, and the new 'Featured Post of the Week'. Other blog changes include a new shoutbox and a 'Link to Us' button made by Caitlin featuring the five blog writers of Buddy Foote's Blog v.2. Thank you very much for the great art piece Caitlin! Post April Fools' Joke
2007-04-06 03:39:00 If I tricked you or not, I would like to say 'sorry' for the last blog entry that I have composed that was my sick idea of an April Fool s' Joke . It was very ill-willed and wrong of me to create such a masterpiece as that and post it on the internet. I know, it should have been locked away inside of my twisted mind forever, but once in a while a tiger has to eat, right? I would also like to thank everybody who commented that blog entry. I would have to say that such a piece a work was a great success to the author, who is proud of his cursor for not jumping violently all over the computer screen. Oh That Boredom
2007-04-06 01:32:00 I'm oh so very bored at this oh so very minute. x) -sighs- I don't like to say I'm bored, because I am sure if I thought hard enough I could find something productive and fun to do. Then it hit me, I am going to write an entry about boredom, but y'know what, I am going to make it a point to make this entry even slightly exciting so it doesn't bore you. If this ends up boring you too, then we're both in the same predicament and that isn't going to get us anywhere now is it?I think I have been "bored" for the past few days actually. School only lasted three days this week before we went off on our "Easter/Spring Break". Those three days we did have school were refered to as "Spirit Week", but three days isn't really a full week is it? So they jipped us, haha. Not that it matters much to me anyway, well no, maybe it does. This blog sounds like I am having a strange aloud conversation with myself and my thoughts. Hopefully that isn't boring to you. WTF!?!?
2007-04-01 20:52:00 I'm totally speechless right now. I didn't feel like playing Runescape much today and instead I went surfing around the internet typing random keywords into random search engines when one of those random Google Desktop news articles popped up in the lower right-hand corner of my laptop screen. Normally I just 'x' them out and resume whatever I was doing, but the article on the first pop-up caught my attention. Why? Because it said 'Runescape' in the header of the article. I didn't even glance at the article but clicked on it right away. I read the article curiously, but then I became horrified at what I was reading in front of me. One could say that I was sickened to the point of having a fever and a stomach flu. Here, I shall copy and paste the article here. If you play Runescape, grab a tissue.Over the past few weeks a heated debate broke out in Congress, a discussion that is only known well to many who have experienced the political power used against Rockstar's well-know...

More articles from this author:2007-04-01 19:28:00 ¡Hola mi amigos! I am going to try to revolve this entry around Span ish because I have an interesting little story to tell. Yesterday I spent four hours volunteering at the library in order to pick up a couple last hours and to get the needed signatures for this sheet I needed to get filled out to be considered for the National Honor Society. Speaking of that paper, I am feeling doubtful that they will pick me, this year anyway. I mean I have seen some of my friends around me who have a lot more activities to put down than I do. On top of it all we were asked to write a small paragraph concerning why we think we should be considered for membership. I wrote my little pargraph Friday night, and don't know if it sounds 'good enough.' I didn't dare to go on and on about "how wonderful I am and I do everything and want it sooo bad" (because that would be lying anyway :P), but instead simply stated why I think it would be pertinent to me and for that reason I hope they pick...
