I was going to ignore the blog for the day and instead work on a Runescape crossword puzzle for it that I would put up tomorrow, but I figured that I have finals all this week and I may not have much time to post at all. Instead, I will do sort of a review on an addictive video game that has been abducting my life for the past week or so.The game, known as Icy Tower , is a free game created by Free Lunch Design. In the game, you must maneuver two main characters, one being a white gangster-like character and the other a black disco boogieing man, up floors of a tower to try and get to the highest floor possible that you have the ability to. While jumping up the floors, you should try and pull off a large amount of combo jumps, which is jumping two or more floors at a time. By pulling off multiple combo jumps or by reaching a high floor, you will get a score. With ten more scheduled school days left on the calendar, many children in my school district may be rejoicing at the fact that the school year is almost over and the wonderful and adventurous season of summer is near. However, if Father Time gave me an option to go back in the past to the beginning of April of this year to endure more school or to live through the next ten days, I would rather jump on the time machine boggy train and head back to the past. That is how stressed out I am over the next ten days. I still have tests to take in regular classes, we have final exams galore, and on top of that, half of my English final involves the completion of five open-ended composition questions that I do not have the motivation and remembrance of to do. When you were younger, or if you're currently a teenager, did you ever think to yourself, "What am I going to do with my life? What am I going to make out of it? Who am I going to influence? What kind of person will I be? Where will I be?" Well, these questions have been streaming through my head for the last couple days and it's mostly about my future and, yes, college. This school year is almost over and then I'll only be faced with two more years until graduation. And then I'll have to start making the ultimate decisions that will change my life and my fate. Yet again, it has been a week and a weekend without me being aroung the blog to post an entry. And yet again, thank you Caitlin for being there with your utmost motivation to keep the blog active. Well, quite a few things have occured since I last wrote, so I'll fill you all in. I planned on starting this entry a little earlier, as in 1pm, but it turns out it's now 6:11pm. :P I can never keep my personal promises to do this then and that then. 8) Last time I mentioned my field trip, well that was over a week ago. Last Saturday I got my hair cut! It was sort of last minute decided. I shared a haircut I liked an entry or so ago, but really didn't think I'd be getting my hair cut shortly thereafter. I got some length taken off to where it looks considerably shorter. I also got bangs cut. I haven't had bangs since first grade, and back then they were frizzy little curls with bowties taped on them. :P Getting used to having bangs was a little interesting at first. Hello. It is I, Buddy Foote. I am here to proclaim a series of events that have occurred to me since my little hiatus from the blog (which will follow no chronological order) and some other points that I may wish to make in this entry. First off, I would like to say 'sorry' as I have not been active much at this site. It was mainly due to the fact that I had no motivation whatsoever to write, and whenever I built up the mental ability that I say to myself, "You know what? Field Trip

Hey there. As promised, I am going to take some time to write a blog entry about the field trip Thursday, and then of course you'll get your douse of Cat ramblings. =) I was just outside reading a little on the swing, "Bras&Broomsticks" is the title. I'm not sure I like it yet, apparently the group of 'girly' novels I got last week are not coming up to par with my liking. Summer Boys was good, but the rest I don't find that interesting. -shrugs- :PAnyways, Thursday I went on my first field trip with the National Honor Society. We left at 8:00, and didn't return until 2 that afternoon so I missed pretty much the whole school day. There was about a busload of us to go to the YMCA. I'm sorry that I haven't posted in a while. I don't really have any reasonable excuses to why I didn't. Heck, the good ol' "I was lazy" phrase won't even fit anymore, as I wasn't lazy. Was I playing Runescape too much to have time for the blog? Actually, no. Runescape, in my eyes, has decreased in its fun factor, and for some odd reason I can no longer play it for long periods of time like I used to. The stranger part is when I do want to play it, I stop myself. Yes, I'm trying to stop playing Runescape. My ultimate goal was to become a player moderator and I just recently got a total level of 1600, but I doubt I'll ever become a player mod after years of trying and I'm happy with my skills at the moment. So what else is there to do? Nothing much. I go on occasionally to mine gold because I actually find gold mining to be fun, especially in the location where I mine it at. Hey hey hey. Caitalindae to the rescue. I kept checking the blog in my free time over this very busy weekend and was sad to see no new posts so even though I don't have much time I want to save the blog from being in a major rut of having no new entries in a week. ;) In a sense, I am here to awake the blog&bloggers for that matter, tehe. Buddy Foote here with my second blog entry in a single day. Isn't mankind lucky at this glorious second in time? Not only am I posting a second entry after more than a week long hiatus from the blog, but the Northeastern states today got some sticky snow dumped on them. And I mean sticky as in the snow sticking to surfaces, such as roofs, pavement, etc. Not sticky as a cinnamon bun. That would be strange. You allow your child to go out to play in the snow, they're all bundled up in their snowsuit, boots, and gloves, and then fifteen minutes later you look outside to discover that your child is stuck to the snow, face first, with their muffled screams hardly recognized unless a foot away from the scene. Yes, that would stink for the child. Thankfully this snow clings to surfaces, and you do not cling to it. Well, I had to shovel this sticky snow. Problem Solved: Runescape Fixed

If you had been paying attention to the shoutbox recently or read the passage in Caitlin's last blog entry that mentioned my problem, then you should know what terrible event had occurred to me these last few days. The problem: Rune scape would not work on my laptop. Why? I'm not too sure. I believe it had to do with some factors, such as the multiple versions of Java that I had installed, something to do with Winsocks, and also some files in the system registry were defective. It may be all three, only one of the three, or none of the three at all, but I used those three to help me solve my problem.The problem first started on Thursday, April 12. I was just north of Seers' Bank cutting the four maple trees located there for some firewood when I experienced some lag, then a freeze, and then I was logged out because my connection was lost. I'm totally speechless right now. I didn't feel like playing Runescape much today and instead I went surfing around the internet typing random keywords into random search engines when one of those random Google Desktop news articles popped up in the lower right-hand corner of my laptop screen. Yesterday I spent four hours volunteering at the library in order to pick up a couple last hours and to get the needed signatures for this sheet I needed to get filled out to be considered for the National Honor Society. Speaking of that paper, I am feeling doubtful that they will pick me, this year anyway. I mean I have seen some of my friends around me who have a lot more activities to put down than I do. The free-to-play worlds of Runescape are known for many things, such as congestion, rule-breaking, pures, scamming, merchanting, begging, new players, immature players, and autoers. Of course, this is not a generalization of the f2p servers, as many of the people I know are f2pers and are very mature and follow all the rules (I even have a player moderator friend who is a f2p player). But the f2p servers are generally scarred by such negative aspects and many people are turned off by them, especially members. Yet again, this is not always true, as f2p servers offer slower training in skills than members and many find this to be a challenge so they stay there. Some people, though, argue that Jagex should take away the free servers in an attempt to get rid of many young people and immature people who swarm into the game, but this would ruin the game for me in so many different ways. Sure, I may be a member, but I love going on f2p visits just walking around and reporting any rule brea...

Fiddler on the Roof

What a hectic week! I have been pretty busy, back and forth all over the place. So much so that I have put off this blog entry two nights later than I hoped to post it, so I hope that won't be a problem. :P It was fun though. I mentioned that I'd be busy with drama last week, and I sure was. =) My school's Curtain Club was putting on Fiddler on the Roof this past weekend and the days leading up to that, aka tech-week, I was required to stay after school everyday until as late as 10pm! It was all good though, I mean it's only a week of staying up the school late, plus it's fun and I literally live at the school for a straight week, we are even served dinner. xD Last Saturday's practice was cancelled because 2ft of snow was dumped on us. Now it's funny to say that yesterday's temperature was about 70 and most, if not all the snow has melted. After school yesterday I literally looked like I was going to the beach.
