The Future
2007-03-26 22:02:00 Normally, in English class, I ignore much of the information that my English teacher tells us in class and much of it goes into one ear and out of the other, besides if it's information about a test, essay contest, something that will help me with the homework, etc. Actually, that would be all the time so I listen to him pretty well, but occasionally he'll go off with a story that has nothing to do with the class, and I would talk to Joey, John, or listen to my iPod. But today, while we were jumping into the next section in the book, we were discussing much of America history from the years after 1940 to about present day when the book was published (a pretty long time ago) and a pretty interesting topic was brought up. A topic that I have been debating over for a time now within my head and a topic that bothers me. Sadly enough, this topic has an inevitable subject that will happen someday, whether it be done one way or another. Just like in the poem "Fire and Ice" by Robert Fros... Snow and a Bird
2007-03-18 00:41:00 Well, we've gotten yet another large snowstorm. Winter certaintly came late this year. At my house we got over a foot, I was told roughly 16 inches or so. We always get a lot at my house. :P I went out in it after school yesterday when it started and it was already close to going in my boot. I got out early from school due to this oncoming storm. The snow was really powdery and soft, not as hard, chunky and frozen as the Valentine's Day storm. Heh, and you know what's weird, this can be called the St. Patrick's Day storm =P I hope this is the last snowstorm for this season, as I am more than ready for the warmer weather. Just last week it seemed that spring was coming, and each day was getting warmer. Then as soon as I have my taste of spring, bam, we're hit with a foot of snow, wind, and cold temperatures all over again literally the next day. xD Not that I hate the snow, it's nice during the winter season, but I really enjoy spring and summer too. ^^ I was supposed to have D... 2007-03-14 02:33:00 First I must say sorry about my long absence from writing a real true blog entry. My last blog entry on March 7th really can't be considered much of an entry because it was my cheap solution to posting an entry without putting a lot of work into it. My last 'true' blog entry was all the way back on February 25! I don't know about you, but that's a pretty long time for me to be inactive on the blog. I have to thank Caitlin and Chase who have been active over the time that I was "away". I wasn't actually away. My addiction to Runescape took over all the nerve cells located throughout my body, and the only actions I could complete was going to school, chopping down willows trees in Runescape, and doing some natural human behaviors that are essential for life. Currently being 97 woodcutting and less than 500k exp to 98, all I wanted to do was woodcut and get exp while I was on the computer, thus I usually strayed away from the blog. However, the forums, #Foote_Chat, are a differen... More About: Life

2007-03-11 00:44:00 Happy [early] St. Patrick's Day! ;P I am in a very Irish-related mood today, due to the fact I enjoyed watching a wonderful St. Patrick's Day Para de outside today in the city. Today was the date for the annual fun St. Patrick's Day Parade ! :)I've been to a parade a time or two before in my life, although it has become this slight tradition for my mother and I to go into town every year on a Saturday in March to stand along the sidewalks and watch the colorful floats ride by, hear the loud music, and witness the crowds of people. I love parades, and always have since a little girl. In fact, I always yearned to be in one. (Hasn't happened yet :P) Therefore I was looking forward to this weekend. I woke up earlier than usual this Saturday morning to get ready as the parade started around 11:30/noon and the roads are closed before then, not to mention parking can be difficult to find. We spent some morning time before the parade's start shopping around the mall. I only go to that s... More About: Arad
Is Runescape always right?
2007-03-08 00:30:00 Recently during my quest to get 70 crafting, I satrted to think of all the things i wanted to complete before becoming a member. One thing was acess to the magic guild. This would require level 63 or 64 magic because a wizards mind bomb drink raises your magic level by 2 or 3. After more research, runescape.com itself said that and i quote "Wizard's Mind BombIf your Magic level is 49 or below, the Mind Bomb will increase it temporarily by 2 levels. If your Magic level is above 49, your level will be boosted 3 levels temporarily. This item can be purchased from the inns at both Burthorpe and Falador." Here is the link-http://kbase.runescape.com/viewartic le.ws?article_id=2142. Is this true?? This link is from the real runescape website. I need to know. Can i trust it? Before i become a member i want acces to all the guilds(excluding heroes and legends). This is crucial if this is true. Level 63 magic will be miles easier then 64, so someone please tell me if i can trust the runescape... More About: Right , Cape , Escape , Rune , Scape
Conversation of the Day: Nintendo Trivia
2007-03-07 19:10:00 I am testing a new concept to use on the blog, and it has to do with hiding part of the blog entry on the main page and only making it visible by viewing the whole blog entry on its own page. Therefore by using this method, I can do more things such as posting instant messaging conversations or even a short story without making the main blog archive page long and huge, a big letdown for many slow internet connections.Being that I have been extremely lazy the last one or two weeks, I haven't had the motivation to write a blog. Most of the typing that I did was in Google Talk conversations, so I put two and two together and figured that I could contribute to the blog by posting up these conversations, with the permission of the person I'm having the conversation with, of course. And by using that new method that I found on Blogger hacks, I can do such that.Click the chat balloon below to read the Google Talk conversation between Caitlin and I as we discuss some Nintendo knowledge. 2007-03-04 19:13:00 Hey =] How's everybody doing? :P My internet is acting up again where it says I am conected but nothing internet-related loads...so -shrugs- I'll resort to writing a blog entry in a notepad until it "works." Well, school went well this week, yet Friday we had a random delay and it was really great in every way except that I had studied a little bit the night before for a few tests but we didn't have them, besides Safety Ed, but that was the one I didn't really study for at all, haha. :PFriday after school I went over the local library for the little Dr. Seuss (Read Across America) birthday party. It was really quite cute. It only lasted an hour, but I enjoyed getting to go. The job I was given wasn't that exciting though. :P I had to just guide a few people to the different stations &games and tell them that this is down here and go that way. Then I kind of stood against the wall and watched the people, a lot came, and it was kind of crowded. The little kids were give...

2007-02-26 19:20:00 Hola mi amigos! (= Dontcha just love it, I'ma skipping school on a Monday, it's a beautiful 11:50am and I am relaxing at home. Plan on partying it up tonight, who cares about school tomorrow, right?Pssh oh yeah right. I gots yooh! =P And that just sounds oh so believable of a good girl like me. Haha, just kidding. I am home though, but in no way am I skipping school unless everyone lied to me and we really only had a delay rather than a fantastic snow day! -giggles- I woke up at 6am, tore my eyelids open, and stared at the bottom of the TV screen from the W's to the C's before the channel was changed and we got lucky and bam it was on Lake Lehem which only means my school comes next. Then I saw in big, fat, bold, juicy white computer font CLOSED. Then I smiled this huge smile, as the majority of other schools were only given a delay. Once the TV was turned off, I slept until ten, but not a good sleep because I couldn't fall back asleep so it was more of a restless la... More About: Ring , Again , Volunteering , Volunteer , Erin
Get Along!
2007-02-25 17:15:00 Did you ever hear of the phrase 'internet bully'? You probably have if you watched certain shows such as Nightline or some national news broadcast. To me, an internet bully is pretty much anybody who bullies you over the internet. Now, in some aspects, internet bullying is much more intense to some individuals than a simple name calling experience and can ruin both their virtual and real lives. I am here today talking about internet bullying because I was just thinking a few seconds ago when trying to focus on what to write a blog entry about and put two and two together and figured: "Aren't the majority of players of Runescape internet bullies?"Now just think about it. The word 'noob' is an offensive term, used to insult somebody or make somebody feel bad, whether that person getting hurt by the verbal term has better levels or worse levels than the name caller. These people are the ones who roam around Runescape and make fun of other people, calling them 'noobs' or 'no lif... More About: Long , Along

2007-02-23 02:17:00 I'm listening to a really sweet song now, "Make You Smile" by Plus 44. I hadn't listened to it in awhiles, surprisingly, so randomly just sat and listened to it play. Well, now that it is over and I am having a horribly hard time reconnecting to the internet, I decided to give in to Steve and write a blog entry, possibly focusing somewhat on the forum. Then I hope by the time I am done, I will have picked up internet again. When I sit where I am now, I can't get the wireless internet signal good. It varies, depending on the position of my laptop, or so I think. =P I don't feel like going where I get the better connection tonight though, so I'll just have to "deal."I had a terrific week back at school after what some refered to as my "winter break". :] I did have two major tests, Spanish and Math to deal with on Tuesday and Wednesday, but I survived and last night along with tonight I have no homework! Growing Up
2007-02-19 23:57:00 Have you ever heard or saw something that made you pause and think for a moment? I don't know, maybe you were watching television and somebody said something, or asked a rhetorical question that caught your attention to where you found yourself thinking about that later on in the day. It's like having something make you think a little deeper than it made anyone else feel. The other evening I was watching something totally random, and this man asked a question along the lines of "What makes you wake up in the morning?" Like, what is it that motivates you enough to take the blankets off and get up out of your bed every single day of your life? Then he paused for maybe a split second, but it was long enough for it to catch my attention and make me think about how I'd answer such a question if someone was to ask me it. The man continued saying "maybe it's a loved one, your job, or just the fact of being curious to see what will happen that day." All of those options seem ... The Twilight
2007-02-17 22:01:00 Thursday night I stayed over Craig's house (after we made that fifty minute video that was posted in the previous blog entry). At his house, we played Runescape on our laptops, tried to get the internet on his Wii to work, and then we went around the internet trying to find things to do, such as making a skin for Firefox and playing games. The next morning Craig was dying to play The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess for the Wii. He was a lot farther than me in the game, and he had mixed thoughts to whether or not play it in front of me as it would ruin a lot of the surprises that the game offered throughout the storyline. I told him that I didn't mind, and that I would probably be focusing more on Runescape than looking up at the television screen anyway. I was wrong, very wrong. As I had found out, Craig was already at the very last boss battles, and my eyes were glued to the TV as I watched the very last enemies fall under his will, defeated. I continued to watch as one of the... More About: Light

I dug deeper into my investigations of this site and now I have my own online TV show. Nifty, eh? With this much easier method of uploading videos to the internet, you should definitely expect more /Life .Of.Foote videos. The videos that you'll see on this blog won't come directly from blip.tv, but instead were put through AdBrite first for revenue purposes. Xanadu's My Snowy Valentine
2007-02-14 18:58:00 Happy Vale nti ne 's Day everyone I am sitting at home now at 11:48AM on a Wednesday due to the fact that we got our first snow day! =) The snow started falling late last night, and is supposed to continue all throughout the day today. A foot and a half is expected in most places, although up where I live I am hoping for 2 feet, because we always seem to get more here anyways :P We found out last night school would be closed today, although it wasn't too surprising because everyone knew they'd close school, haha. I think it'd be cool if they closed tomorrow too, since we have Friday and Monday off for President's day already, therefore we'd get this long break like Thanksgiving. xD I woke up around 10 this morning to ice pelting the windows and the smell of homemade pancakes downstairs so I didn't have a problem waking up today, haha (=I'm not sure exactly how I'll spend my snow day cooped up inside. 2007-02-13 03:41:00 I'm feeling in the mood this fine winter night to write a nice and little blog entry. To whether I can achieve such a task such as keeping the entry short is beyond me though. Whatever that I can type before my brain goes dry is whatever you'll get out of this blog entry. Expect a little bit of random, a dash of pointlessness, and a quarter cup of Buddy Foote.Yesterday I was playing Runescape in the morning and I figured that I would take a small break from my woodcutting goal of level 99 and go to free-to-play for a little while. Actually I didn't really think it out at all. I kept on refreshing the world select page because my current home world, World 6, was full for a few minutes, and then World 1 popped up and was open, so I figured that I would hop onto this world for about an hour to fool around. Let me tell you this: Free players have a mind of their own. This is not a generalization and many free players are 100% better than me in levels and in wealth (even though I find... 2007-02-11 00:08:00 Hey! It's Caitlin. I was debating whether or not to post a blog entry myself last night, but then I thought since Steve wrote such a great one why would I want to write a poor lame one that would bump his post down showing mine first? =P But someone told me once that they "love when there's more than one" blog entry at a time, so knowing this made me think I should share my bloggin' ;)My life, in general, has been exactly the same most days so yet again not too much going on to mention personally. Although I guess I could say that at the beginning of this week we had a cold blast where we got a 2-hr delay for two days in a row! It was just lovely, since I like to sleep in, and waking up late for school was rather nice. Bad Days -- Fiasco At School
2007-02-09 23:54:00 I can always tell before being wide awake whether my day ahead of me will be good or bad. The 'bad luck' sign that is my own created tradition is if I wake up five minutes before my alarm is supposed to go off. I don't know if this happens to all people, but do you ever wake up randomly during the middle of the night and sometimes look at the time? I do, and most of the time I'm relieved when my alarm clock reads three or four in the morning, because I know that I can relax for a few more hours and sleep. Well, whenever I randomly wake up and I read 6:10 (My alarm goes off at 6:16 [don't ask why that very minute]), I know right off the bat that this day is going to be a bad day. And 75% of the time that's true. I hate that feeling too, it's the worst ever. Just to wake up thinking for no absolute reason, "Hopefully it's only four and I can get two more hours of sleep," and to see that instead I have six more minutes. The only thing I do is go back to sleep and hope that time... More About: School , Days , Bad Days , Bad Day , Asco
Telemarketers
2007-02-08 22:58:00 At the age of sixteen, you wouldn't expect a teen to be pestered by noisy telemarketers and random people calling me about some ski trip or the Bank of America, but of course it does happen to me. I have owned my own cell phone now for about one to two years and I never had this problem until it got bad late 2006. I keep on receiving all these unknown phone calls, with unlisted numbers or some corny numbers like 666-6666, and mostly I'll just open my cell phone and close it. Sometimes when Craig is over, we'll open the phone and say something or fool around with the caller's mind. Honestly, every day after I come home from school I'll have one to six unanswered calls on my cell phone, and then I'm pestered with the annoying beeping because there's these calls on there. These people aren't calling to address me, however, and are calling and looking for a Megan. The very first week I had my cell phone, I would be getting voicemails from some business guy or a friend of Megan'... More About: Market , Tele , Mark , Telem , Telemar
What's the Use?
2007-02-04 22:40:00 There I was, sitting in my father's truck in Waymart, Wayne County, Pennsylvania listening to my iPod as my father was in Ray's Supermarket shopping for some needed groceries. I was having one of those deep down thought sessions with myself about things that I'm always motivated to do once I'm out and about, but when I go home or I'm plopped in front of a computer, I have no want to do them. Well, my mind sort of wandered off as I was sitting there watching the windmills up on the mountain in front of me. Their blades gracefully swung around in circles at a moderate speed -- so massive yet so quiet. I was thinking how the power of the wind could move these blades which are actually constructed out of a light-weight material, and how due to the wind we're getting needed power. Then I recalled that the power generated was used miles away in the New York City area so then I sort of got mad at the landmarks that stood in front of me. Wow! What a Game
2007-02-02 03:27:00 It's the normal thing to do, you know? In computer class it's the same sights over and over again as you look around the room. Some people have Microsoft Word or Excel up doing their work, and others are on the internet or are playing free online video games. I'm sort of in between these two different groups of people. I'll have my work up and I'll be doing it while at the same time glancing over every once in a while to watch my neighbor (no names will be mentioned due to privacy) play some games. He'll search the internet high and low for the best video game sites that aren't blocked by the internet security in the school. Some games like Funky Trucks or Mini Putt I'll play with him (mostly when there's a sub or we have a free day), but otherwise I'll stick with getting my work done, as I'm slow doing it anyway. The other day my computer neighbor found a game that interested me, but after I tried playing it yesterday, I realized how much I stink at games and should stay... Too Old?
2007-01-30 02:38:00 I was searching the internet the other day on my newly updated laptop (the complaining about the needed RAM actually pulled through when I said that it would be vital for future college purposes) when I stumbled onto Youtube and was watching some random videos. I don't know what made me do it, but I clicked on somebody's user profile on there and was looking at it when I spotted a comment that somebody made. I do not remember it too clearly, but it was something among the lines of "your 31 and still on the internet? get a life!" That comment right then and there made my blood pressure boil and I was furious at the person who left that comment. Why? Because there is no age limit on the internet for freaking crying out loud! My mother is 49 (I think) and she has her own MySpace because it gives her something to do in her spare time. Craig said that he was playing Runescape the other day and this one high leveled player said that they were 40, and were highly honest about it. Now I w...

Neither did I, until just yesterday when I stumbled across a stranger's myspace page when all of a sudden, a voice on the page starts saying "Hey, you know.....cardboard is, uh, one of the coolest things ever made by paper! Dance on cardboard!" and it catches my attention so much because the voice is quite awesome. I sit and listen to this amazingly cool song. I continue to click the band's name, Family Force 5, to visit their personal myspace. Once I heard their other song 'Luv Addict' along with the cardboard one, 'Numb' and saw how totally adorable the guys in the band looked, I immediately fell in love with this unknown band. At least they were unknown to my friends and I. xD Family Force 5 is such a cool band! I love their sound, because it's a combination of genres and stuff I love. Ahh!
