Telemarketers
2007-02-08 22:58:00 At the age of sixteen, you wouldn't expect a teen to be pestered by noisy telemarketers and random people calling me about some ski trip or the Bank of America, but of course it does happen to me. I have owned my own cell phone now for about one to two years and I never had this problem until it got bad late 2006. I keep on receiving all these unknown phone calls, with unlisted numbers or some corny numbers like 666-6666, and mostly I'll just open my cell phone and close it. Sometimes when Craig is over, we'll open the phone and say something or fool around with the caller's mind. Honestly, every day after I come home from school I'll have one to six unanswered calls on my cell phone, and then I'm pestered with the annoying beeping because there's these calls on there. These people aren't calling to address me, however, and are calling and looking for a Megan. The very first week I had my cell phone, I would be getting voicemails from some business guy or a friend of Megan'... More About: Market , Tele , Mark , Telem , Telemar
What's the Use?
2007-02-04 22:40:00 There I was, sitting in my father's truck in Waymart, Wayne County, Pennsylvania listening to my iPod as my father was in Ray's Supermarket shopping for some needed groceries. I was having one of those deep down thought sessions with myself about things that I'm always motivated to do once I'm out and about, but when I go home or I'm plopped in front of a computer, I have no want to do them. Well, my mind sort of wandered off as I was sitting there watching the windmills up on the mountain in front of me. Their blades gracefully swung around in circles at a moderate speed -- so massive yet so quiet. I was thinking how the power of the wind could move these blades which are actually constructed out of a light-weight material, and how due to the wind we're getting needed power. Then I recalled that the power generated was used miles away in the New York City area so then I sort of got mad at the landmarks that stood in front of me. One thought led to another, until I tried to so... More About: What , Hat , The U

2007-02-03 01:39:00 Hey fellows, it's Caitlin, aka Fayedaddy reporting for blog duty. You may be making a face and going "fayedaddy?!" at this moment. Yep, Fayedaddy is my new nickname, haha. We'll see how long it lasts..my friend's make up bazillions of nicknames for me (Papal, bach, thrust, fig, curly, cait, catty to name a FEW) ;P This past week, my friend Abby and I, now even Nicole a little, caught the Family Force 5 disease. At first we had symptons, now we are full blown ill over them. The band members names are Soul Glow Activatur, Crouton, Nadaddy, Chapsticke, and Phatty. So..Abby is Fouton, Nicole can go by Tactique, and I'm Fayedaddy because they are variations of the band member's real names. Hehe..maybe you can guess what nickname matches which real name, lawlz. =)It's Friday night, and snowing a little. It's nice to see the snow. If only it had came last night. I really want a school snow day since we haven't had one yet this year and I was so tired today I would have loved to lou... More About: Title , Less
Wow! What a Game
2007-02-02 03:27:00 It's the normal thing to do, you know? In computer class it's the same sights over and over again as you look around the room. Some people have Microsoft Word or Excel up doing their work, and others are on the internet or are playing free online video games. I'm sort of in between these two different groups of people. I'll have my work up and I'll be doing it while at the same time glancing over every once in a while to watch my neighbor (no names will be mentioned due to privacy) play some games. He'll search the internet high and low for the best video game sites that aren't blocked by the internet security in the school. Some games like Funky Trucks or Mini Putt I'll play with him (mostly when there's a sub or we have a free day), but otherwise I'll stick with getting my work done, as I'm slow doing it anyway. The other day my computer neighbor found a game that interested me, but after I tried playing it yesterday, I realized how much I stink at games and should stay... Too Old?
2007-01-30 02:38:00 I was searching the internet the other day on my newly updated laptop (the complaining about the needed RAM actually pulled through when I said that it would be vital for future college purposes) when I stumbled onto Youtube and was watching some random videos. I don't know what made me do it, but I clicked on somebody's user profile on there and was looking at it when I spotted a comment that somebody made. I do not remember it too clearly, but it was something among the lines of "your 31 and still on the internet? get a life!" That comment right then and there made my blood pressure boil and I was furious at the person who left that comment. Why? Because there is no age limit on the internet for freaking crying out loud! My mother is 49 (I think) and she has her own MySpace because it gives her something to do in her spare time. Craig said that he was playing Runescape the other day and this one high leveled player said that they were 40, and were highly honest about it. Now I w...
Family Force 5
2007-01-29 01:07:00 "Hold up, wait a minute, put a little luv in it!!" Ever hear of Family Force 5? No? Neither did I, until just yesterday when I stumbled across a stranger's myspace page when all of a sudden, a voice on the page starts saying "Hey, you know.....cardboard is, uh, one of the coolest things ever made by paper! Dance on cardboard!" and it catches my attention so much because the voice is quite awesome. I sit and listen to this amazingly cool song. I continue to click the band's name, Family Force 5, to visit their personal myspace. Once I heard their other song 'Luv Addict' along with the cardboard one, 'Numb' and saw how totally adorable the guys in the band looked, I immediately fell in love with this unknown band. At least they were unknown to my friends and I. xD Family Force 5 is such a cool band! I love their sound, because it's a combination of genres and stuff I love. Ahh! I told my friend Abby about them last night and she flipped out, fell down, and claims she loves the...
Blah
2007-01-27 01:11:00 Hi everyone! It's Caitlin, and again I wasn't able to sit and write a good entry until the end of the week =( I really want to try to write one or two during the week though. I need to work on that (; Well, I ended up having a good day today because we had our second 2-hour delay at school this whole year :P It wasn't due to any major snow, but the fact the temperature was so cold. They notified us of the delay (late start) to school the night before which I liked. They don't always tell us the night before, but I wish they would because it makes me happy to know ahead of time xD Usually we have quite a few delays, school closings, and early dismissals throughout the winter, but that's not the case this year. :P -shrugs-School is going pretty good. I was one of the selected winners in the Literature category in the Reflections program at my school. =) It was the first time for me in that program xD I am really starting to be amazed at the number of literature-related contests I... I am going to get memebrs in the current week. But, I will not enter the members world till I am 100% ready. I will fight temptations not to enter, but I will do it. 52 prayer is a big goal, but I will do it! I have full monk, but I will discuss stats and what not at the forum. I have more to say, but that will come in part 3. More About: Reason , Reasons , Part , Cape , Sons
Hidden School Came: Advanced English I With Spencer
2006-04-27 05:15:00 Yesterday I made the going home video, and today I created the English classroom video with our 'wonderful' student teacher, Ms. Spencer , being the star actress. Yes, Spencer is the short woman standing in the front of the room doing all of the strange hand gestures and saying a word every fourty seconds. Boring? Yes, espically due to the fact that my hyperactive peer wasn't in the room, and also Andy wasn't there either. It's normally not this boring, but they had to attend some genius program. So how do you think about this? Two posts in one day, containing two videos and a good amount of pictures that won't hurt the poor dial-up people out there. I plan to create some sort of cover-up to actually hide my camera so that it is actually hidden and not just sitting upon my desk right there in the open, like it was today. Not all teachers will fall for that, only Spencer and Henzes I think, and by the way, Henzes is my next target. She's the home ec. teacher. I'll try making s... More About: School , Hidden , Vance
Hidden School Cam: Going Home
2006-04-26 21:33:00 I intend to have some sort of thing going on here where I take my digital camera to school and film people without them knowing that my camera is even on, in which I do not look through the camera at all. I may just have it sitting on a desk, carry it in my hand to make it look like I don't have a case for it, etc. I just hope I don't get caught though, because I can actually get into a bit of trouble for doing this...at least that's what Craig said.I made this video yesterday (I planned to upload it last night which I actually did, but YouTube had to approve of it first and it was around midnight so I saved it for today). It's just leaving my school, nothing too exciting. Actually none of these will be too exciting, but at least you'll get a taste of my school, Lakeland, and a better insight on school-related topics that I may talk about, or that Caitlin may talk about. The quality isn't too good...I changed the movie from 256 MB to 10 MB so what can you expect. I plan to for... More About: Home , School , Hidden , Going , Goin
Easy Going
More articles from this author:2006-03-25 20:45:00 I was oing good for three days last week, posting at least one blog entry a day. Then all this week there wasn't one update here. Why? I wasn't in the mood for blogging, and I'm still not even today. A.K.A. I don't feel like typing. I've been going easy all week because of the Day Two thing all week at our school due to state testing and hardly had any homework, so I either stayed up all night talking to Caitlin or playing Runescape. I have nothing to add really and nothing to say. I have a lot of images to share and even a video but really, that's it. Here's a short laydown of my last week and then I'll just move right on to the media.Monday -- After school went over Brown's house to help him and Schlasta study for a upcoming geometry quiz on proofs. Went to Schlasta's house twice, once to go get him so we I can teachg him and eat his peanut butter and crackers, and a second time to make a documentry of his house with my digital camera. Here's the movie:Tuesday -- Went o... More About: Easy , Going , Goin 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 |
