taking a day off from the scene.

have you ever had so much fun, you needed to take a break? a break from the fun, that is.my body just couldn't keep up with all the lounge lizards in town. so, I decided to take a break from the scene.all I did yesterday was watch tv, play computer games, and twiddle my thumbs. originally, I had these high hopes of accomplishing a number of chores. but as it turns out, all I managed to do was pay the rent.so, what is on the agenda today, you ask? besides twiddling my thumbs and staring at the ceiling, ...I don't know. that bed feels so good, I may just cuddle up and suck on my thumb for another day. aaahhhhh. oooohhhhh.actually, people. life is good. but my brain is so overwhelmed by recent events, I need to meditate on life a little bit before diving back in. how long will I need before popping back up into the world again? who knows?...only the shadow knows....

some of the bay area boys are in town. like crusaders mounted on white steeds, these guys walked into the parking lot with mile long smiles. talk about making an appearance.I am not sure how long they will be here. but it is always fun to hangout with them.the new arrivals - miguel hildago, skyman, flyboy, captain america. word is - quick draw mcgraw will be coming shortly. and let's not forget... another group of lounge lizards - errol flynn, dennis the menace, x-man, and db cooper - will be here in a few days.whew! definitely a posse. a posse of lounge lizards. for lunch, went to the all-you-can-eat pizza hut buffet over on siam square with dirk bonapare - the bouncer. while chomping down on pizza, dirk tells me he is going back to canada soon. a job offer came in that is too tempting to refuse. alas, another lounge lizard about to make an exit.after the buffet, dirk and I spent like 3 hours exploring the siam paragon mall window shopping for a variety of things. then, we parted. I went home to take a short power nap before meeting up with da brain, tiger and a couple of others for dinner at the food court. mississippi made a surprise entrance. haven't seen the guy in like 6 months.from the food court, I went to the parking lot to hang out for about 4 hours. met up with the silver surfer, richie rich, brian piccolo, supergirl, special k, and deuce bigalow.in the lobbby, I saw timberwolf, dutch callahan, zorba the greek, and bronson.went home one tired lounge lizard.

after the bout with the flu a few days ago, I started thinking about health insurance again. yeah. something happened to me last night that has me wondering - what gives??so, what happened, you ask?there I was going home after a great night hanging out in the loooobby. I boarded this local bus going in the direction of my apartment. and as soon as I did, the bus conductor, this lady screams out loud in thai for everybody to hear quote, "THERE'S A FOREIGNER ON THE BUS!" ..when she announced this, I looked around and realized that she must have been talking about me. since I was the only one who was non-thai on the bus, who else could it be??what is going on, you ask?frankly, I don't know. but for sure, something is up. ..MY GUESS - the thai people are in the middle of some major internal discussions about issues that they don't want non-thais to be aware of.for those of you who may think I am paranoid, consider this... if you boarded a bus back home that was packed with americans, and then, when someone from let's say india boards, the bus conductor screamed out loud, "T...

aaahhhhhh. it's amazing what some sleep can do for your health. I just woke up feeling good. after 2+ days of the flu, it was about time. about the survivors clause in social security?since I have been somewhat bed ridden with the flu these past 2 days, I decided to do some research on my future retirement benefits aka social security. what I found out is somewhat interesting. especially to someone whom I might marry in the future.get this... if I marry someone, and I die, at my current situation, my spouse would be entitled to receive about $1000 dollars a month. each child of mine would also receive $1000 dollars a month.I may be wrong on this. but you can check out the info for yourself. look under survivors benefits.http://ssa.gov/retire2/near.htmg uys, if my take on this info is correct, make sure you pick the right person to marry. and by all means, don't tell them that you are eligible for SS.most important, don't buy a condo in pattaya that has a balcony - if you know what I mean.

yours truly was not a happy camper last night. except for some periods of non-pain where I played supreme commander as long as my body would tolerate it, I have been bed ridden. last night, my body felt like it was in the grip of a professional wrestler, tensed up and painful. ever get beated up by a bunch of guys? yeah. that pretty much paints the picture for you. it's getting better though. earlier this morning, I was able to take a shit without my head throbbing. life is starting to look better. I think my flu is going away now.back in the world of the lounge lizards...davy crockett called me up to chat a little. received a call from da brain. he was in hua hin but returning today. got an email from MacG. he'll be back as scheduled on the 29th.not much else to report. think I'll just go back and lay in bed now. another day of doing nothing but staring at the ceiling should do it. and then... it'll be the loooobby again.

the big news in the thai newspapers lately is - thaksin is coming back! for those of you who are not familiar with the political world here in thailand, thaksin was the PM who was push out of office by a military coup not too long ago.thaksin is coming back!so, how does this lounge lizard feel about thaksin coming back, you ask?since I have never met the guy, I don't have any opinion about him. except perhaps to say, I think the guy is more of a friend to the usa. much more so than the previous coup members were. in addition, I don't think it is my place to be too critical of thailand as I am a guest here. calderon of mexico would do well to mark my words if he knows what is good for him. we don't need a foreigner telling americans how to run their immigration policy.it's all about respect.anyway, so much for my political commentary...so what is happening in the world of the lounge lizards?...mr./mrs. yesterday started off with yours truly meeting up with mr./mrs. EC in the looobby at around 6pm. we took the underground to the oishii express out in rachada. had dinner there. the special of the day at the place was this item with inagi over rice. great stuff. after dinner, went back to the looobby. hung out and chatted for a bit. around 9pm, mr./mrs.EC went to sleep. something about school the next day.at the oishii express, I saw da brain with mei off to the side at a separate table.it was sort of early for me to be at the looobby. being 9pm and all. but since it would be a waste of time for me to come and go, I just hung out in the parking lot. ..guess who came out of the woodwork? maadee. he's back for a few weeks. we traded notes on life. appears MacG is coming back soon. the silver surfer came by while I chatting with maadee. as did the handsome man. silver surfer told me that kaito went back to japan for a while.I saw craig constantine pass by in a sort of q...

played supreme commander for around 3 hours. then, went to the gym by myself. did a quick workout. from the gym, went to coffee world. met da brain there. and we then, went to the sizzler for a late dinner. da brain had some company. after the dinner, da brain and gang went to some show. of course, I went to the parking lot to hang out. would you believe it? ..as soon as I got to the parking lot, I got a unexpected phone call from mr./mrs. EC. they are in the lobby. fate works in strange ways. just got word from the sarge that the new york cop broke his leg and is laid up in vegas. sorry to hear that. take care RD.back in the looobby, roger 8 bellies, and peter o'toole finally decided to join us. it's been ages since we last heard or saw them.overall, an above average night. the lobby was full of lounge lizards. even da brain decided to stay out late tonight. we ended up getting a midnight snack at subway before going home.so, what did I do all day, you ask?besides the looobby, and the parking lot.... 5 hours playing supreme commander, and 3 hours surfing the net. factor in some time for the toilet, eating... and you pretty much get a typical day in the life of this lounge lizard.tomorrow, a workout at the gym followed by dinner at one of those thai bbq buffets.sleep, sleep, sleep.

yesterday started off with my meeting up with dirk bonapare at noon for this pizza buffet. man, we ate like there was no tomorrow. afterwards, I went to pantip plaza and finally purchased my new main computer. I don't know if I got the best price for it but what the hell. busy, busy, busy. several non-residing lounge lizards are currently in the land of smiles. makes for some fun times. I had lunch with da brain the other day. I know mr.and mrs. EC are out in rachada. but they are suppose to be in the loooobby area now. frank sinatra is back from his short trip to pattaya. fun, fun, fun.yesterday, I spent around 4 hours at pantip plaza window shopping for a new notebook computer. I think I must have checked out at least 20 stores to compare prices. this may sound like a waste of time to many of you who don't like shopping. but I loved every minute looking around comparing things. today was a long day for me. started it out by going to pantip plaza to shop for a new computer. must have spent at least 3 hours walking around at PP. came away with one particular notebook for serious consideration. will now sit on it for awhile and read up on the notebook.after the successful search for a new computer, I went over to the central world mall, and finally sat down to a meal at sizzler. aaahhhhh. Ooohhhhhh.I was pretty tired from both the shopping and the meal. so, I was thinking of going home for a nap. but something in me said, "go work out." the urge to do so was so great, I did just that. work out that is. completed a slow 2 hour workout.after the workout, I went to hangout at the lobby. finally went home at around 1am tired as hell.was hoping to see da brain. but I guess that will have to wait until tomorrow.good night everyone.

last night, I didn't feel 100%, but felt well enough to make the journey to the lobby. somebody up there must really not like me. why do I say this, you ask? well, let's see. the other day, there was the asshole incident. yesterday, I wasn't able to eat at sizzler. and now, today, my main computer dropped dead on me. for an hour, I sat there looking at poor joe (that's the name of my main computer.) I tried my best to get joe working. but nothing worked. it was just his time.so, I am accessing the internet through my spare computer now. good ole william. man, I never knew the thai's celebrated valentine day with a vigor - until today.there I was ready to go eat at the sizzler. after thinking about eating veggies and cream of mushroom soup for 3 days, I was really geared up to eat at the SIZZLER.when I got to the central world mall, with a quick pace, I walked up to the sizzler in that mall. what I saw sort of surprised me. 4 dozen people waiting in line to get in??? what gives???thinking that I was smart, I said to myself quote, "no big deal, I'll go to the other sizzler at the siam center." so, off I went. again in a quick pace. when I got to the the sizzler at the siam center, again, I saw a long line of people waiting to get in. at least 50 people waiting in line. in my mind, I start thinking, "this really sucks!" why don't these people go to sizzler some other day?not giving up on sizzler, I said to myself, "I wonder if the sizzler at mbk is full?" need I say more...after 3 sizzlers, and walking around for an hour,...

there I was snoring away while taking in some beauty sleep when all of sudden I hear this distant "briiiing, BRiiiiiiinng". in my mind, I am saying to myself quote, "it's the phone, idiot! get up!" my little brother was really slow and limp. so, I thought to myself, "I guess I will have to be the one who gets up."in a meek voice, I answered the phone, "hello, hello?"...somebody answered, "it's me lim. one minute..." then some guy answered me quote, "we'll be at bla, bla, bla." all during this 2 minute conversation, I was wondering who this person was. like I can read minds, you know.finally, I asked. and would you believe it, it is mr. and mrs. took a day off today to rest. did nothing but stare at the ceiling, watch tv, and surf the net.the weather here in bangkok is much hotter and humid than in the PI. as a result, I think my body is reacting to it in a negative way somewhat. thank god I can sit back and do nothing until I feel better.well, the day was not a complete loss, I did finish with 3 loads of laundry.since I didn't have any food in the frig, I ordered out. purchased my favorite dishes from the inhouse restaurant. and happily chomped down on the food while watching harry potter on tv.chatted a little with da brain online.guess I'll get back to sleep now. tomorrow is another day. looking forward to going to the sizzler for lunch. aaaahhhhhh. the sizz.

have you ever met an asshole before? I met one a few hours ago. there I was having a good time shooting the breeze with some of the lounge lizards, and this guy rams into me while I was standing there oogling the scene. just received a call from frank sinatra. he arrived 4 days ago. read that I was back in bangkok from my blog. so, now, we will be meeting up for dinner over at this all-you-can-eat buffet out in rachada.oooohhhh. Aaahhhh. the time is 7pm at night. and here I am at this internet cafe logging in my latest events. not much to report. hung out with howling howie and barnaby last night. went barhopping some. we ate dinner at salvatores. I treated myself to a full size meal complete with salad and spagetti. around midnight, I went home to sleep. and that was it.popeye came on line for a few minutes to tell me how happy she was in life. john wayne texted me a few times to wish me a safe journey back. several people including steven c.khao and howling howie are also wishing me a safe journey back to bangkok. what can I say? ..I am ready to go back already.the weather outside here in the PI is very nice. not hot. simply perfect. I guess it is the PI way of wishing me bon voyage.not planning anything tonight except maybe sip on a hot coffee before going back to bed. wake up early to take the bus back to manila. and then, to the airport.thinking of ....the loooooobby.

have you ever wondered why a person choses the path they take in life? I never thought about it until the other day the mountain man asked me quote, "why don't you make something of yourself?". ...the mountain man will never know that his simple question pushed me to consider why I decided to become the lounge lizard that I have become.so, are you curious why I am the way I am? if so, read on...I believe that the path one takes in life is dependent on certain events in their life. the events may be actual events, and then again they could be imaginery events. whatever the case, if the events constantly come up in your mind in your life, they no doubt influence what you do.after some thought, I came to the conclusion that the following events influenced me to live the life of a lounge lizard. the life that I have been living for the past 9+ years and counting. went to see another movie today - the eye. then, hung out at the mall again. at 7pm, went to the all-you-can-eat german buffet. pigged out, and ate about 7 different german sausages piled up with sauerkraut and potato salad.
