I LOVE TAIWAN XD~ (Part 1)
2007-11-01 16:49:00 I love Taiwan XD~I went Taiwan with my whole family (include two of my nieces - one is 3 yrs plus and the other is 1 yr plus old) on 16th to 23rd Oct. It was the longest oversea holiday trip ever in my life. It was fun and knowledgeable experience for me. Our first stop was at Taipei, 西門町. Our hotel is situated about 2 streets away or just 5 mins walk from 西門町. Good location. :) Other tourist attractions that we went were 九族文化村, 日月潭, 夢時代購物中心, 真愛碼頭, 旗津砂浴, 愛河, 華山文化中心, 中正紀念堂, 淡水老街, 漁人碼頭, 士林夜市, 台北101,小人国, 五分埔,野柳 and we also went to visit SOKA temples too. He walked and walked, hoping to find something that could shut his stomach up. After dragging his heavy body for two hours, there was still no sight of edible stuff. "on" and "on top of"?
2007-10-07 07:26:00 Just curious.....What is the difference between "on" and "on top of"? Which do we use? Do we say "I put the book on the table." or "I put the book on top of the table?"Answer:"On" is used for surfaces where we expect things to be placed, for example, "The book is on the table", "The book is on my desk". "On top of" is used when it is a more unusual place to place or leave things, for example, "I put all my comic books on top of the wardrobe."

2007-10-03 16:38:00 Is been a while since my last post.A couple of days back, I was wondering one question and searching for an answer to it, like flipping through thousands and thousands of books in my little enclosed library: my brain. The question that kept me mentally busy is why a person will speak in a higher pitch when he or she get excited? Have you thought of it? Have you ask the same question yourself before? Do you know the answer?I try to think of it logically. When you get excited, normally, you will try to speak faster. When you try to speak faster, your pitch tends to be higher. 2007-09-15 05:04:00 Today, I'm going to post on my favourite photo that I took during my trip to Kota Tinggi on 1 Sep (my previous post).This is the photo>>>>>I took this photo while walking back to the coach bus after visiting Desaru Fruit Farm. What attracted me was that somebody is actually living in this run-down hut. I walked closer and found out that a small malay family is living in it. Over the other side of the hut, there was a young little malay girl diligently and systematically cleaning each and every piece of the window panels. Even the top window panel was not missed out. Despite her short height, she was trying her best to reach the top window panel. She tip-toed and stretched her whole body and hand. One question immediately struck my mind. Is it necessary to be so hardworking to clean the window panels? No matter how clean it is, it is still a shabby hut. From here, I can really understand the difference in the living standard. My trip to Kota Tinggi, Johor on 1 Sep
2007-09-02 17:48:00 It has been a total of 9 years since the last time I went malaysia. I remember that time I went with a group of friends to KL in year 1998.Yesterday, I went to Kota Tinggi with my parents. The main purpose for the trip is to watch fireflies and eat their famous lobster.We left Singapore around 6:30am by coach and reached our first stop in Malaysia at 8am. Our first stop was a kopitiam lookalike eating place in Tampoi. We had a quick breakfast there and moved on to the next stop. The next stop is a newly-opened chocolate shop. In the chocolate shop, there are all kinds of flavours of chocolates, eg. tomato, sesame seed, etc. However, I still prefer the traditional dark chocolate. XD~ We also went to a couple of stores selling the local snacks.The journey from Tampoi to Kota Tinggi took us about 1hr and 45 mins. Small we might be, but big achievements we have earned.For those of my readers who are not Singaporeans, here is a small information about this special day to each and every Singaporean:Singapore National Day Parade is a national ceremony in Singapore on 9th August, in commemoration of Singapore's independence. It is usually held in the Singapore National Stadium. However, in 2007, it will be held in Marina Bay for the firt time~~!! Future National Day Parade will be held thete until the new sports hub is scheduled to be completed around year 2011.I have uploaded some of the pictures taken during one of the rehearsal of the National Day Parade.There are a couple of national songs that I like, for example, "Count On Me Singapore", "Stand up for Singapore", "One People, One Nation, One Singapore".
