Another Great Weekend!

This weekend was pretty cool.Friday after work, I came home and got Brennigan dressed for the Primary Trunk or Treat at our Home Ward and then Chloe and myself went to Target to grab some stuff and then headed over to the Trunk or Treat to pass out some candy to the Primary kids. There was a good turn out, since we combined with the other two wards that meet in our building. Lots and lots of kids and lots and lots of candy was passed out and eaten. The whole family turnd out with the exception of the boys, Dad and Henry went to watch Jared's football game against Lawndale and of course, Jared's team stomped on them because well, I heard Lawndale sucks so good on Jared and the rest of the Tartars. Us girls (me, Blanche and Delene) showed up with Lesley coming with her girls and Mom then not too long after that, Pete and Tiffany showed up and the party train was complete! So while I was breaking Nicole this morning at the front desk, I was looking through the sidebar at Book Binge and clicking on different authors to check up to see what's new in their writing lives and what not. I came across, Cecelia Ahern's website and found out that she's the writer behind, Samantha Who? The new Christina Applegate show on ABC. That brought me up short because I wasn't planning on watching the show (which premiered last week, I believe) but now that I know CA is the writer behind the show, I will most definitely check that show out. Another thing that I noticed when I was browsing through her site is that she's got a movie coming out for her book, P.S. I Love You, a book that was read and reviewed by two of my friends, Grace and Isabel. ...the everliving crap out of me about my coworkers, or one of them anyway.   So, I guess you can say that a lot of my co workers have been getting on my hot damn nerves lately and I spend a few minutes each day, sitting in my office fantasizing about slowly choking them to death.  Okay, so I don't do that because I'm a good Mormon girl but still, sometimes I just want to smack the crap out of some people that work here.  So many people have been getting on my nerves lately that I need to vent it all out but goodness, I just want to trip some of them in the hallway...   Here's why:   1. The Fall TV Season.

With the Fall TV Season in full swing, I cannot tell you how disappointed I am in myself for not having taken full advantage of all the new episodes of my favorite TV Shows. I haven't watched one episode of Grey's Anatomy since it came back so I don't know what the hell is going on with Meredith and Derek (although truth be told, I just don't give a damn about these two anymore which surprises the hell out of me since I was such a huge Mer/Der supporter last season), George and Izzy oh and Callie, not to mention Burke (or whatever happened to Burke) and Christina. Can someone fill me in on this since I can't be arsed to watch the shows on ABC.COMI haven't been faithful in watching Prison Break either, shocking huh? …about working at the front desk at work.Everyday, I break the receptionist downstairs in the main lobby. That means that three times a day, I answer the phones, I do visitor control by badging visitors that come into the building and I schedule conference rooms for the different meetings that go on every week. There are things that I absolutely LOVE about working at the front desk and there are things that I absolutely HATE, this week’s Thursday Thirteen is being dedicated to the things I hate about sitting at the front desk.I hate that Nicole (the receptionist) watches those creepy judge shows. ...my brand spankin' new office.So last week my boss came up to me and told me that she was moving me from the office I had set up in our department fileroom into my very own office. So, since I'm in a list making mood (as previous posts have shown) here's my top ten reasons I love most about my new office.1. I'm not right across the hallway from the big boss of our building.2. My Top Ten Highlights of the Weekend...

...with the kids.So this weekend, Blanche and Ron were out of town at Ron's cousin's wedding and I had to stay home with the kids which on Friday, I wasn't too excited about but I have survived another weekend with a billion kids and a trillion soccer games to attend and have lived to tell about it. I had a blast with the kids and here are the top ten highlights of my weekend.1. Brenna's team won their soccer game 6-0.2. Chaylene did an awesome job at her game playing defense...if they were giving out MVP trophies that day, Chay Chay totally would have gotten it, even though her team lost 4-2. She did GREAT!3. So this weekend, my sister Blanche and her husband are heading back to Utah for another wedding…this time on his side of the family. Now two weeks ago, Blanche was in for a wedding on our side of the family and I had all 6 of her kids. Well I had 4 of her kids with the help of her two oldest kids and this weekend, we’ll be doing it all over again. That means that starting tomorrow morning at 7am we’ll be up getting the kids ready for their games and the first game starts at…8 IN THE DAMN MORNING! In keeping with the Strengthening the Family week theme for this week's Thursday Thirteen , I thought I'd list some of my most favorite memories that have to do with my family...1. The time me and Pete fought after Ward Camp and I kicked his tail and then he chased me with the tent poles because he was embarrassed that he got beat up by a girl. I was like 10, he was 8.2. The day me and Pete watched while my brother's Henry and Seko fought and because Seko was in a wheelchair, Henry got out a folding chair and sat down on it and then put his dukes up so that he was on the same level as Seko, he looked like such an idiot, it always makes me laugh.3. With this week being Strengthen the Family week at Church, I have found myself reevaluating my life and thinking a lot about my daughter. ...so I've been habitually watching The Hills every Monday night since the second episode of the season because I'm totally addicted to this show and have been since I watched the first episode of the first season.It's just one of those shows that I can't get enough of. I love Lauren and always have since she was on Laguna Beach and getting dicked around by stupid ass Stephen and feuding with slutty tramp Kristin.Now Lauren's in her third season of The Hills and the drama from last season is still running wild all over the Hollywood Hills.This season, Lauren has a new roommate, Audrina and Heidi moved in with Spencer. Alright ya'll, its that time of the year when fall is here and our favorite shows are coming back on the air with brand spankin' new episodes...and last night was the first episode in the new season for one of me, Izzy and Grace's favorite shows, Prison Break .   Last night we got to see Michael Scofield, Lincoln Burrows and the rest of the crew (well the ones that are still alive and kickin' that is) back on the small screen and boy was I one happy camper.  I had forgotten just how hot Wentworth Miller and I had forgotten just how much I loved me some Michael Scofield.  And Dominic Purcell?
