The Moment Of Truth
2008-02-26 18:07:00 If anybody watched this last night, I cannot believe what I saw. I missed it, but I watched it online. This woman, in front of her husband, parents and brother and sister, admitted that she takes has taken her wedding ring off to appear single, that she cheated on her husband and that she was in love with one of her ex boyfriends on her wedding night. Then when her ex boyfriend asked her if she thought he was the one she should be married to (instead of her husband) she said yes. Her poor family is sitting there through the whole thing and I can't imagine how her husband felt. I really am just completely disgusted and can't believe I just saw what I did. If you get a chance, watch it. Oh, and she lost all the money on the question "Do you think that you're a good person." She said yes, the lie detector said she was lying.By the way, for those that have never seen the show, what it is is that the contestant is hooked up to a lie detector test before actually going on the show. Why Following Furniture Trends Is Ludacris
2008-02-25 15:59:00 You've seen the articles that tell you what furniture is hot for 2008. I know people who actually follow these trends. Here are reasons why you shouldn't.1. It costs a fortune. Trends change frequently, which means that you would have to change the furniture at least once a year. One couple I know changes it three times a year. Even if you have the money to do this, you are still wasting that money that you can put toward something else.2. It's bad for the environment. Whether you donate, sell it, or leave it out on the curb for someone to take eventually some of these pieces of furniture are going to end up in the landfill. The more high demand there is, the more furniture is made.3. The best looking home is one that is made up of your own style, not one that is made up of the same furniture trends that everyone else has in their home.4. It's time consuming. Who really has all that time to follow trends?Sure you want your home to look great, but it will look even better to do y... More About: Furniture , Ludacris
Ten Ways To Brighten Your Day
2008-02-22 22:37:00 Everyone needs some happiness in their day, especially with all the stress on a daily basis. Here are 10 ways to brighten your day.1. Have a date with your significant other. Don't get ready in front of each other. It adds the element of surprise.2. Sketch something. Anything. Even if you can't draw.3. Make your significant other a handmade card for no reason.4. Go on a picnic with your best friend(s).5. Sit outside with someone important to you, have hot chocolate and great conversation while watching the sun set.6. Make a CD of songs that you used to listen to in high school. Then play it and sing along. Dance if the mood strikes you.7. Take your dog outside to play.8. If you have to pay someone a tip, give them $5-$10 more then you should. However, only do this if they gave you great service.9. Have an ice cream cone.10. Donate to a charity.
I Think Strange Things
2008-02-22 22:30:00 For some reason I'm really in the mood for gummy worms, no idea why. So I'm curious, by whom and why was it decided to make only gummy worms and bears (and the occasional gummy dinosaurs). Why not some other animal? More About: Strange , Things

Yes, I'm Making A Public Plea
2008-02-21 15:53:00 I was watching a show and there was an animal shelter saying that they have to euthanasize over 1,000 cats a year because of overcrowding and because they get no funding from the state. Now I don't, nor have I ever, understood why animals are allowed to be killed in the first place. Yes there's overcrowding but you don't see someone going into a city that's overcrowded and start stabbing people with a needle and "putting them to sleep." Last time I checked, animals were living too.So, I'm making a public plea to anyone who reads this to call your local animal shelter and ask them what supplies you could donate. The items that they need are usually cheap. I spent $10 and donated 28 cans of cat food so even a small amount can go a long way. Some items can even be picked up at the dollar store. My cat that I have I helped raise from birth because he was born to a stray in my back yard. When he was old enough to be taken away from his mother I took him in. I couldn't imagine if some... More About: Public

You Won't Remember Ten Years From Now
2008-02-20 14:52:00 You know those stupid little fights you have with your significant other or those stupid little times of nagging. You nag, he gets annoyed or he gets mad which makes you upset. This stuff causes arguments , hurt feelings, words said that weren't meant and stress. For what? Ten years down the road you won't remember these specific arguments and nagging. You're not going to remember that your significant other didn't put the toilet seat down. Think about your significant other. Think about all the good they do and everything they do for you. Think about how they make you smile and how they bring joy to your life. What's worth more? Making your relationship better or the stupid petty arguments and nagging? In addition to being more relaxed and letting things go the way to avoid being in this situation in the first place is to not do the little things that you know bother your significant other. Really make a conscious effort. Granted people are going to occasionally slip up and do... More About: Years
Fun In Rain
2008-02-18 20:17:00 There is a torrential downpour outside right now. Is it strange I feel like going outside in the park and kicking a ball around? One of my dogs loves the rain, and if I felt like giving her a bath after she would be all covered with mud, I would take her outside for a catch.I love this type of rain, it makes everything look interesting. From my front yard More About: Rain
My Weekend With Cell Phones
2008-02-18 15:18:00 I went to a restaurant on Saturday for Valentine's Day dinner with my sig. other (he did well!). Since we went to a Japanese Hibachi restaurant we were seated at a table with nine other people. Out of these nine people at least five of those people picked up their cell phones during dinner. Apparently the lessons of "Don't pick up your cell phone t the dinner table" or "When you are seated in a restaurant you don't answer your phone" were lost in translation. It is so incredibly annoying not to mention rude. It's just as bad as people who talk on the cell phone in a movie theater. We ignored them as much as possible and blocked them out. Well on the bright side, the chef was great, the food was fantastic and I had amazing company. On the train this weekend, I had some woman seated in front of me SCREAMING into her cell phone in another language about the train schedule.I think everyone has become so attached to their cell phones that they completely forget any respect for people ... A Call For "Just Because" Gifts
2008-02-15 15:37:00 Valentine's Day is over and chances are if you have a significant other you've given him/her a gift.Whatever happened to giving a gift for no reason? Now I'm not talking anything expensive. I'm talking about relatively inexpensive gifts like books, flowers, cd's or video games. Even something as simple as telling them to get dressed that you're taking them out somewhere. Don't tell them where they're going and bring him/her to a restaurant they've been dying to try.Let me explain some something simple. Surprises for no reason= happiness for both involved. Let's face it, you are always willing to do more for a significant other and go out of your way for him/her if you feel that they do the same for you. Not only do you gain valuable brownie points but it shows that you are making an effort to keep the relationship fresh and going strong. Those are the people that are INCREDIBLY sexy. Fun Things To Do With Your Significant Other
2008-02-14 18:23:00 Everyone knows that laughing, being happy, and playing not only keeps you healthier but it also keeps your relationship healthier (and going stronger!). Sure dinner and a movie are fun, but here are some other activities for you to do with your significant other.Play some sportsGo play some pool or go bowling. If the weather is nice, kick a soccer ball around or play catch.Book a hotel for one nightYes you have the availability to be alone already, but booking a hotel and running away for the night adds some extra excitement and spice, especially to get away from the usual place you're in all the time.Go on a picnicGrab a blanket, your favorite foods and head to the nearest parkGo to a boardwalk or an amusement parkYes it's childish, but do you really care? It's all about staying young at heart.Walk around a new city or town and go exploringExploring is always fun, make a day of it and grab some dinner while you're at itGo to a sports gameWhether it's minor league baseball or N... Getting Corny For A Minute
2008-02-14 17:25:00 So I'm going to get corny for a minute and since it's Valentine's Day I'm going to list 6 reasons (among many) why I'm still in love with my significant other after all these years. Some of you may get physically ill, but that's okay it's only one post.In no particular order...1. I was feeling discouraged the other day. He managed to find the one thing that would put a smile on my face and not make me feel discouraged anymore. He's really good at doing that.2. He still holds my hand and kisses my forehead.3. He cleans and even though he can't cook many things, he still helps me cook whatever I'm making.4. I trust him enough to ask him if an outfit I'm wearing doesn't look right and know he'll actually tell me the truth. I love him even more when he tells me I look beautiful.5. He tells me he wants to hear how my day was and he actually sits there and listens to it every day.6. He'll call or text me during the day just to say hi.Okay I'm done More About: Minute

The War And Our Military
2008-02-13 20:51:00 For anyone that has never been to war, it's something that none of us can even imagine. The soldiers, past and present, risk their lives every single day while we're lucky enough to wake up in our own comfortable bed then go to breakfast. Many men in my family (and friends as well) have served and if you have read some of my posts in the past I have a huge respect for the military. I just wanted to take this time to thank those have served and that are currently serving. Your sacrifice is immeasurable. If anyone is going to be in NYC between February 4th and March 8th, there is an exhibit titled "Testimony To War: Art from the battlegrounds of Iraq" at the Visual Arts Museum at the School of Visual Arts. Rain, Rain Go Away
2008-02-13 20:37:00 I woke up this morning to a wintry mess. It snowed last night, then rained, froze, turned to ice, then it started raining again. I almost slid down my stairs because they were completely iced over even with rock salt on it. I chopped it up and threw pounds and pounds of slush off of my sidewalk and driveway. I cleaned off my neighbors car and driveway, only to later find out that the car died and they couldn't use it anyway. That's okay, I got good exercise doing it.I'm still crossing my fingers for a big blizzard. That's all I want...just one. Preferably during the week so that people who have to go into work can possibly get a break. More About: Rain
Some Random Facts About Me
2008-02-13 05:15:00 After receiving a few messages stating that I should post more about my life, I figured I would do so with some random (if not odd) facts about me.1. I can't eat the heads off chocolate bunnies. No idea why. In addition, I can't eat anything that has looked at me.2. I love movies, however I have a strange obsession with dance movies.3. I wore jeans last week for the first time in two years. I just didn't feel like wearing them for some reason.4. All of my dogs that I have had have been rescued from somewhere. One I have now was rescued after her owner passed away and the spouse couldn't bear to keep her anymore, so he boarded her and told them to board her for a month, after that euthanize her. I got her three days before what would have been a month. The other dog I have now my aunt picked up in the rain as she was on the highway-apparently someone dumped her there. One dog I had was actually found tied to the railroad tracks.5. Teletubbies frighten the hell out of me as do clo... More About: Facts , Random
Heath Ledger's Death As A Business Opportunity
2008-02-13 04:47:00 I'm seeing certain stores displaying (or displayed but already took them down, probably at the persistence of angry customers) Heath Ledger movies right in the front of the stores. Comics are making jokes about him and his death and his apartment has been added to a few tours in NYC. The poor guy hasn't even been dead a month. His family hasn't even had time to breathe yet and all of these people are using his death as an opportunity to make money? It couldn't be more tasteless or tacky and those people should be disgusted with themselves. More About: Business , Opportunity , Death
I Could Use Some Spring
2008-02-12 15:55:00 I don't mind the Winter. I'm actually kind of hoping we get one huge snowfall before the end of Winter but I definitely can use some Spring . It feels like Winter is zapping all of my energy, plus I would like to see some nice flowers again in front of my house instead of nothing. These are some pics of flowers and a plant that grow in front of my house. I took these last Spring, and they're just going to have to last me until they come up again.

The Weather, Wii, And Things In Between
2008-02-11 23:54:00 I have Wii arm. For those of you that don't know what that is, it's when you go crazy playing Wii and your arm feels like someone punched you in the arm a few hundred times. I knew it was coming mid game, but did I stop? Nooooo.I was up in the city (NYC) this morning and it was pretty windy. I'm on my way home, look up and see a crane about 25 floors up sitting on top of this building that had a guy sitting in there lifting some type of materials. Now if that was me, I would have completely panicked being up that high on top of a building as the wind is blowing all over the place.I rented Dreamgirls a few days ago and let me tell you, Jennifer Hudson has an awesome voice. It gives you goosebumps. By the way, when I woke up it was 7 degrees. Not fun walking around in that weather. More About: Weather , Things

Celebrities In Rehab
2008-02-07 21:09:00 Well two actresses who I never thought would end up in rehab have, and both of them entered into the same place. Both Eva Mendes and Kirsten Dunst entered the Cirque Lodge in Utah. Eva Mendes has apparently been there for several weeks and Kirsten Dunst checked herself in very recently. It is unknown the exact reason why both stars are there. At least they are both getting help for whatever problems they are going through and not letting it fester into something bigger. Best wishes to both of them. More About: Rehab , Celebrities
The Cheater Is The Victim?
2008-02-07 01:02:00 I recently read a letter in an advice column written by a guy who cheated on his girlfriend with her best friend and wanted to know how he could get his girlfriend back. He proceeded to say that the best friend came onto him when he was drunk, that he was lied to because the best friend told him not so nice things about his girlfriend and she basically jumped on him and started making out with him (nothing else happened).First of all, I would dump the best friend in a heartbeat. She wouldn't even know what hit her. Second of all, I cannot believe the guy actually had the guts to say that SHE came onto him and SHE was saying lies and HE was drunk so he couldn't help himself. If she was saying lies, it's his responsibility to believe his girlfriend over her best friend. Obviously if she's even coming onto him in the first place it doesn't say much for her character. Second, if she's coming onto him he should have gotten away from her immediately and told his now ex-girlfriend.La... More About: Victim
