Hypocrite

Its been a while...almost a month..a lot of things have happened lately...some good, some intense and some bad. Let's not get to the bad ones - there is no point. Bad things - drop them. Good things - cherish them. Intense things - you cant get rid of them even if you wanted to. So yeah, like I said its been a while. Biggest news till now....I am the Social Chair of the Muslim Students Association. Yes, you heard me right. The MUSLIM STUDENTS ASSOCIATION. Wait, didnt I declare myself an atheist a couple of days back?...Hmm....makes me think too!!! Why did I do it? Probably because I am a hypocrite. I guess I am just craving for attention. Or I just probably wanted to put something on my resume. But the thing is, will I be at peace with myself after attaining this position in a religious organization?....dunno yet!.....Anyways, apart from that - I just realised from reading all my posts that I am really confused and have a huge guilty conscience!!! Oh wow!!! Oh well, cant do much ab...

Liberation of Thoughts : Freewriting
2008-01-30 05:47:00
Let me finish my RA application first and then I will definitely come back to this topic. A very intriguing topic - I must say. I was introduced to this topic just yesterday and I am already feeling soo excited about this..but, my application first! So yea...done with my RA applications. Back to freewriting - freewriting promotes the concept that people should write non-stop and put down any thought that comes to their heads and write without any constraints. No need for rewriting, no heed to grammar, no respect for structure and what not! so yea lets try it people! this is just so cool....as one of my friends put it...its so "khool!" or rather its soo "khikass"....Yea so, about freewriting - i am going to try freewriting about freewriting. Lets start - 1, 2, 3. So yea freewriting, see this freewriting thing is just simply complicated - another term coined by one of my friends - so simply complicated. This is just so easy to do I dont know why people find it so difficult to write...w...

It is strange how far I have come... 19 years is a long time. But I must say that what I am now has been shaped by the recent 3-4 years. A lot of things have changed since I was in my mid-teens going through the regular adolescence. But the thing is I am not here to talk about my past or how I grew up or whatever. I am here to talk about my transition. The transition in music. Music is a lifelong shift in experiences. It changes so much with age. Now I am definitely hooked to trance - any type of trance. Also, house and electronika....damn they are good. Come to think of it, a just a year ago I hated any type of electronik music. METALLLL - all the way.....from cheesy commercial bands to underground Scandinavian bands...now I sometimes feel that there is no need for so much aggression. I mean they are not achieving much with all that useless and incomprehensible aggression they put in the music...are they? The instrumental skills are good - I have to agree....hence I still listen to...

Continuing from the last post, but first here is a confession - I did not know what i was talking about in the last post. It was just a random thought and I did not have enough thoughts or content to put down. But I felt like putting it down and I did! But I also did not want to appear as a foolish dilettante which I probably am - hence, the cover up of feeling sleepy. So yeah, the truth! So, I was babbling about morality - ok here is the thing. Morality is relative and absolute at the same time. Yes, dont be so surprised, it is possible for two completely antagonistic ideas to exist simultaneously. Morality is nothing but a set of rules developed through tradition, history and most importantly - religion. Religion, ah!....*sigh*...religion...tsk tsk tsk...anyways, so yeah, Religion does play a major part in shaping up a person's morals. But what is religion except a weapon of mass destruction? Tell me - what is the use of religion except for threatening ignorant middle class bourge...

What am I to say?
2007-12-28 08:35:00
Ok ok...so here I am - I am in USA. Yeaaahh!!! I am in USA - believe it or not and I am pursuing the American Dream (probably). But that is not the topic of this post...its just that I ended the last post in such a hurry because I wanted to write about other stuff. Stuff such as morality.Hahahhahaha.....yeah you got it right - I am going to talk about MORALITY!!! And I dont care what you people think, because I can freaking write whatever I want on my own blog - hell, if I cant do that, then there is no point in having a personal blog...so anyways....by the way, I do care what you people think because I do check the comments (there have been too few =(...).....oh well so here we are - MORALITY!!!What constitutes morality? Hmm...the question is tougher than you think it looks like - lets say morality constitutes what is good and what is bad...then is morality absolute or relative? The answer is complicated. Here is the thing, morality can be both absolute and relative. You wanna kno...
Green, green grass of home
2007-12-28 08:12:00
It's been a long time since I opened scribefire and just typed down all the thoughts that kept swirling in my mind just like the spirits that kept moving around and around in circles and in desperation in the Styx. I could see them, feel them and just exhumed them out - but that is the past. Things have changed a lot since I have arrived in USA - a semi-circular transition as I traveled all the way back in time from one side of the world to the other. The difference is more cultural rather than geographical. Its almost comical to see that the East is so aware of what is happening in the West but the West seems to be blind to the happenings of the East. Of course this does not include foreign affairs majors or potential diplomats or any of that sort, this includes any average Joe here. Yeah, so much for being conscious about world affairs. Anyways, I would not really blame them for ignoring the existense of a country called Bangladesh in this world - there are far worse people. Well...

Scattered
2007-06-24 12:47:00
This is high time that I confess...confess to whom?...Wait, how about myself?.....I must confess the fact that i am scattered...my existence is at a stand-point where it does not signify anything...or i am just writing bullshit!...I dont know myself...what am I supposed to say, think or write?...My thoughts are so scattered...I just cant put those in order....and I have to stop using so many periods...PERIOD!!!!Anyways, 2 days ago, my friend suddenly asked me, "What is God?" and we weren't even high. We were clean and well-slept. Then again, does that question always have to be asked when we are under the influence? I dont think so. I think its pretty normal to put faith and belief in interrogation. Question your faith and beliefs..are you a blind believer? This is what I keep telling everybody and they think I am an ATHEIST!!!Back to the question, "What is God?". Well, a couple of weeks ago, one of our friends said, "God is not something, God is everything". Kinda corny and cheap,...
Wishful Thinking
2007-06-17 07:48:00
The world has come to a point where man is bound in a deadlock – chained by responsibilities, commitments and work. Today’s society seems to manifest an epitome of the words of Jean Jacques Rousseau. Just like the slaves of war, humans march wearily – shackles at their feet and hands and metal chains linking to them. No chance of straying or even looking anywhere as the whip comes lashing through the air, striking like a black resilient snake. I am one of them – struggling with the weight of responsibilities and suffocating from the shackles of commitments. But the thin line that separates me from the others is that I yearn for freedom. I long to break the chains and shackles and throw the weight off my shoulders at least for one day. If I were given one full day with no commitments, no homework, no home responsibilities, then I would get lost. I would get lost in the city where I have spent the 18 years of my life. It may sound strange but I have not discovered an inc...
