On Thursday October 19th, at the Haileybury School of Mines (Northern College) the Candidates for mayor of Temiskaming Shores had their debate. Click Read more to see the opening remarks of each of the candidates. Video is a little better this time, but I was stopped by the organizers of the event and not allowed to place my wireless microphone on the stage, so again, we have to suffer through rough audio. I will post more videos each day. Each night I had to make a decision to arbitrarily cut one question due to battery and tape limitations. Each night the question I cut was when Danny had a go at Judy’s statistics. My apologies for having terrible timing and missing these lively cinematic moments! School of Mines - Mayoral Candidates Debate

Tonight at the School of mines (October 19th) , The Candidates for mayor had their debate from 10 questions asked by the community. As I sat there listening to the answers I watched the crowd, usually looking for people nodding or shaking their heads, or scoffing at answers, but as I watched this evening I didn’t see any of that. People were looking pretty serious. This indicates to me that people were listening very closely to the information the candidates had to say. It also indicates how important it is that you vote in the upcoming election. November 2nd, watch for candidates debate. Look for times in the newspaper or hear it on the radio, or find out here! What’s more - I’m not afraid to be a shameless self-promoter - Tell your friends about this site. Send them an email. Click on either image to download the brochure. Two of the mayoral candidates for the Temiskaming Shores election now have their brochures out. Judy Pace’s came out in the Speaker this week.
